    Always satisfied with our food choices, have not had a bad meal as of yet. Drinks as at most Toronto restaurants are over priced not a deal breaker as i dont drink much.

    I remember this place a few years ago. As service and food was too notch. Today was different, service has dropped in quality, long waiting times, food was ok, hoping it's because of brunch, place needs revamping but old ambiance is still beating. Hoping they will bring back good old experience

    We were very excited about this Restaurant but unfortunately a lot went wrong… our orders, drinks and food, took ages. It was very dark at the patio so we asked for at least a candle. One of two lady restrooms was out of Order…. Too bad… and all this on our last evening :(

    The ambiance was very good and all food choices we had were very good. The chicken and steak were very moist and juicy, but my favourite is the Quebec wild boar chops, which was excellent, both in flavour and quantity. The wait staff were excellent and quite knowledgeable about the menu.

    The waiter was unattentative only concerned with serving wine not taking our food orders. 2 hours into the lunch an overcooked cold burger arrived. When mentioned to the waiter her shrugged will never go again.

    Very nice restaurant and I will certainly be returning to Sassafraz. The staff were very cognizant that we wanted time to chat and look at family pictures so they did not push us to place our orders and that was certainly appreciated.

    This was my first time dining at Sassafraz and it was amazing. I ordered some cocktails and the steak. The cocktails were very well balanced and delicious, and the steak was delicious! The servers were very sweet and brought out orders out quickly.

    We hadn't eat here for a while. And previously not in the more formal dining area. It was SO much nicer than the less formal, bar area where we had eaten before and not been overly impressed. Much better experience this time. We will be back.

    Can't beat the location in the heart of Yorkville. The decor was so beautiful and inviting and the seating was so comfortable. The ambiance so relaxing. Our server was outstanding, fun, friendly and knowledgeable. Great cocktails, super wine list, and very interesting menu. I will be back on my next visit to Toronto.
