Our waiter, John, was awesome. The food was very good. John told us we were eating some of the new items added to the menu and asked us to let him know what we thought. We felt like food critics! Lol Needless to say we enjoyed our dinner completely. We would recommend this to everyone!
Expected it to be so much more than it was
Did not like menu options. Unless I wanted the burger?? Or $28 steak.
Had the rigatoni w pulled chicken. Too spicy
Pizza w figs was as not good either.
We were very disappointed.
The food was great and a different display than many restaurants. The service and staff was great. Pricing was fair.
A group of us had dinner at Savor to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We all had salads as appetizers and should have requested the dressing on the side as it was rather overpowering. The fish entree was good. The vegan ratatouille was rather dry and overpowered by the smoky flavor of the zucchini. The desserts were of good quality. The service was decent though we had to frequently request items such as bread and pepper which was not initially offered. We would not rush back.
Great to support the Culinary Institute, but the food is overpriced.
A very enjoyable evening. Service was great and my salmon may be tied for the very best ever. They did not have any Martini and Rossi dry vermouth which was a problem as we use it in our Manhattan cocktails. I will be spreading the word that Savor is THE place to eat when visiting Niagara Falls. I also want to add that the location is a short walk, down a lovely brick road smack across from the entrance to Seneca Niagara Casino.
Prime location, great ambiance, nice hostess and waitress Simone; food, however, needs some work: stuffed pepper dish was amazing: right amount of everything, precisely what you expect from French cusine, salmone on the other hand was quite substandard: starting with fatty farm fish, overpowering taste of barbecue sauce and ovevly salty and to finish with overcooked mundane bed of rice. To add to it there was a wedding party extremely loud next to us that dampened overall impression. Overall nice place to eat in Niagara Falls although need to be selective with your order.
This might well be best restaurant in Niagara Falls. Nice venue, great food; not recklessly expensive
The food is very good and compare to other restaurants in the falls is the best you can find.
What I liked best is the staff: young, professional, always smiling!!!
Only negative note: too much air conditioning, but this is something here is quiete normal!
Really suggested, good Job!!!!
Savor is a culinary institute that has the potential to be outstanding. However the food arrived cold at our table and more than hour late. We arrived at 7:00 p.m. and our main course arrived at 8:40 p.m. The waiter forgot to bring our food and it was cold. The restaurant closes at 9:00 pm We were very disappointed.
We almost missed this amazing experience due to my hubby's uneasiness with the thought of students preparing our meal. I'm so happy that I insisted we go! The restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel (a bonus for us to enjoy their incredible cocktails and sangria!). We had reservations for the last seating, and never felt rushed to complete our meals. We started with the best mussels appetizer we ever tasted, along with an arugula salad balanced with blueberries, mandarin oranges and goat cheese. The shrimp and pesto pizza followed and was outstanding, as well. I couldn't resist dessert and the creme brulee didn't disappoint! All staff was highly professional and very friendly. Loved, loved, loved!!
Wonderful ambiance, the food was excellent and our service was spectacular. Definitely worth a visit while in Niagara Falls
Great prices for a tasty meal in a formal setting where you can dress casually. Nice!
This restaurant is part of a culinary school, and served and tasty meals with plenty of variety to satisfy foodies or kids. Friendly staff, and ambience is very nice, since the tables are not too close together, and we had a nice large table next to the open kitchen prep area. We were able to see the chefs preparing meals for an event later in the day. Very nice contrast from the touristy mediocre food in Niagara Falls visitor areas, and this was walkable, within a few blocks of the Falls.
Nice place to go out for some upscale food for a decent price.
We had a fantastic dinner last night! Our server Jared was outstanding and made some great recommendations!
Really nice selections on the menu! Our meals were delicious! Also, we enjoyed chatting with the waitress, who was from Macedonia.
Showed up in our standard tourist wear and still felt well taken care of. Lauren was a wonderful host and we enjoyed our entire experience, she made sure!
Very good food but a little pricey for a school restaurant
We were happy to discover Savor on a recent visit to Niagara Falls. The US side of the falls are very touristy, and there is a surprisingly large selection of Indian cuisine restaurants (7+) but little in the way of quality american cuisine. The kids enjoyed their food (pasta and high quality pizza from in-restaurant pizza oven) while I had a very good signature cocktail, a quality arugula salad, and a not-so-good daily chef special of Chicken Tostadas. (Too much chicken meat piled on and lacking seasoning.) As the service and ambiance were high quality, I am giving the restaurant a pass on the below average special, and rate the overall dining experience as positive.
Excellent food! Loved the fig and goat cheese and prosciutto pizza. We celebrated a birthday and they brought out an amazing Chocolate Torte that was very rich and moist! The staff are attentive and professional. This is a great place to check out.
Admittedly I should have read up in advance as my expectations may have been too high. Was aware it was culinary int/staff in training. Wine choices are very limited. Some challenges with bar - ? wait staff vs bartender eg. " a splash" of cranberry juice. Food was mixed- 3 out of 5 ordered a rigatoni, chicken, maybe pesto entree which was barely edible - overly moist/heavy/salted. Finally, wait staff - she tried to be friendly, but at times was just inappropriate. Needs more training on etiquette and timing. Good luck!
Good food - limited but focused selection, well prepared. Limited wine selection (regional, local source) but server made good suggestion. Almost but not quite fine dining. Generous portions; salad overdressed and almost everything heavy on the salt. Read need to cut the salt.
I loved this place as soon as my girlfriend and I stepped inside. It felt very classy, yet with no judgement. My girlfriend and I had tha steak and chicken . It was delicious. But what blew us away was the creme brûlée and blueberry cheesecake. It was incomparable. Besides the service , the best part was the bread and butter. The bread was good but the butter had garlic, olive oil, and pink peppercorns in it. It had a delicious and complex flavor. I would definitely come back.
Service is a tad slow and the food was a bit on the over seasoned side.
Second trip here, two great visits, no issues, Great food
Wife and I went on a date here while visiting the Niagara Falls. Food was great, service was great, and price was definitely worth it.
We had a reservation at 8:00 pm. Seated immediately, outside. Beautiful weather! The waiter offered a tasting of the wine before we selected. I had the Caesar salad and my husband the Arugula, both excellent. We shared the fig pizza, also very good. The cheesecake and cappuccino were amazing capstones! Paid and walked leisurely to the fireworks and made it right on time!
Very nice place. We experienced kind and obliging welcome and also the service at the table. The food was also very nice. There was only selection of local vines which are not good enough for such a quality food.
Always a sure thing when visiting Niagara Falls. Close to the falls and the park. Part of the culinary Institute.
A great place to dine. Wonderful, flavorful food. Such a great find in this city. Dedicated culinary and hospitality students deliver the best experience.
Savor is the culinary institute’s dining room so everyone is learning. There’s a tentativeness tithe service as a result but still the service is good and everyone aims to please. My Caesar salad and my husband’s arugula salad were good basic salads. His Steak au Poivre was tender and done to his liking. My Cast Iron Roasted Faroe Island Salmon was excellent. I find East Coast salmon moister than West Coast. The glaze was excellent. He had a creme brûlée which could have had more berries on it - one blackberry and one raspberry can’t be described in the plural. My marscapone cheesecake was light and quite good with a jammy berry sauce. The dining room is large and has a cafeteria feel to it and is quite cold temperature-wise.
My foodie son suggested a reservation at Savor while we were visiting Niagara Falls in Ontario. The service, the mood and the food were all A+. Our waiter, Alan, was exemplary and will go far in his culinary endeavors. Highly recommend this experience to visitors and locals alike!
Salmon was cooked perfectly, but the burgers were not. The chicken wing appetizers were served stone cold. The french fries were also cold. The service was very friendly but very slow. And the restaurant for the most part had us and one other table in it.
My family of four had a delectable lunch here with great service from the hostess and waiter. The food was amazing including a stone over pizza, gourmet burger, and a kids chicken tenders. We almost ordered some of the fancier choices but these lunch staples were so masterfully prepared that it hardly seemed like typical lunch fare. Our waiter was very attentive and friendly. A great restaurant in a great city!
Very tasty food,I got my food warm ,in general it’s a good restaurant.
Niagara is a place full of nice things, and this restaurant is definitely one of the best. It was clean, the service was friendly, and food was GOOOOOOOD. Here you can enjoy a michelin-class dinner with a homemade-restaurant-class bill. I strongly recommend this place.
Everything was delicious. Will dine there again if in the area.
Good meal with good pacing. Attentive and helpful server. Very limited wine selection
25th birthday dinner. Everything exceeded our expectations and Amanda our waitress, did an outstanding job. We were so happy to end the evening at Savors.
