Scaddabush Italian Kitchen & Bar – Richmond Hill
Our story is simple. Everything we can make fresh daily, we do. Including our hand-stretched mozzarella (made-to-order every day between 5pm & 11pm), our pasta, our signature 1/2 lb meatballs, our dough, bread and desserts.

The food was amazing the service outstanding and the ambience was great
Love this place. Pizza is great but meatball sandwich is the best. Great service. Perfect for lunch or dinner.
Excellent food. Amazing service from Bryan. My family and kids had a great time! Staff are overly accommodating. 5 star experience all the way!
For some reason and it does not matter which Scaddabush location I go to but any time I dine alone, the servers make me feel like I have to rush eating. I did not appreciate getting my main course just when I had maybe TWO BITES of my appetizer! I was really looking forward to giving the Richmond Hill location a chance but once that was done, I lost my appetite and just wanted to leave ASAP. I do not like to dine in restaurants where I don't feel welcomed or valued as a patron. It's too bad because once I got home I enjoyed my main course that I had to them pack up, hence the high score for the food.
The food was amazing and the whe feel of the restaurant was nice and cozy with a touch of elegance. Our waiter was kind and respectful but the service in terms or food arrival and refulls was poorly executed. The food took a long to arrive to our table considering the fact that we only order 2 pastas. Refills for sift drinks took long to arrive as well which affected the whole feel of the restaurant. Unfortunately we were seated at a tablw near a party of 6 females who were way to loud and kept laughing and yelling loudly, disturbing other guests around them. None of the waiters seemed to care or take the effort to tell them to lower their voices. I had to at the end go and let them know they were a little to loud. The restaurant overall was a good experience and will definitely go back in terms of food taste and quality. They can improve in regards to their service though.
Love this restaurant. Food was amazing and service was great at the start then a large party of 20 came in to our area so server got distracted. Overall though was excellent and all pay times service has been amazing.
Food is always exceptional and fresh.
This is my favourite place
But the music is very laid
Good and service are great
This was my first visit to Scaddabush and it exceeded my expectations! The food was so flavourful - we had the "naked" house-made mozzarella, the chicken and shrimp and the shrimp pasta. It was all outstanding, and I would order it all again in a heartbeat! We also had the caramel apple calzone for dessert and it was served piping hot with a beautiful butterscotch sauce. I can't wait to go back :)
I found the food to be incredibly salty and the music a but loud making it difficult to have a conversation. Service was good.
We waited 15 minutes to be seated in spite of having a reservation and arriving on time. The front desk staff seems to be a bit disorganized, and there was a lot of crowd inside of the doors. It was a cold day and there was a frequent cold draft coming to tables in the direct line, so we were sitting in jackets. The service was very slow, first to be seen by a waitress, then to get the drinks (not all of us got them at the same time) and then to get the food. The longest wait was to get the birthday cake delivered. We were initially charged for this cake, but the bill was later adjusted (probably a supervisor noticed an error). We spent more than 2.5 hours to complete our meal, good hour longer than anticipated, because of the slow service. Food was very good, though.
Our server was very inattentive. The tables around us were very dirty and were not cleaned the entire 2 hours we were there. We were served dirty appetizer plates. When we confronted our server about this, she gave us a bit of attitude. The only good part of the service was the manager who was completely apologetic and understanding of the situation. We will not be back.
We had reservations for 7 pm and only got tables around 7:30 pm. I am not sure why we bother doing reservations
Hair in the Caesar Salad, incorrect orders, and 3 members of my family had upset stomachs afterwards. So many better restaurants for the money; it’s just not worth it. Service was friendly, but not that attentive and made too many mistakes. Management is very visible and full of apologies plus freebies. I’d rather pay to have great food and amazing service.
The food as always was delicious. They accommodate every whim. The drinks are bad value for the money. You can’t taste the alcohol, very overpriced. The bathrooms are atrocious!!!!!! Shame on you guys
We were not happy with our waitress Monique. She took our order and then left us there without checking on us. First of all, Monique said we can't order our bread separately with the main dish for which we saw our tables have the breads as appetizer. So I was having my soup while my husband was starving waiting for his meal. Once I had done with my soup, we were waiting like half an hour for the main. We had no one to ask before we were sitting at the corner and the waitress never came check on us. Then we had two desserts came with the meals. She brought out my dessert and then put in my son's order. So my son stared at our dessert while waiting. It took another 15 minutes for my son's ice cream. We had two young kids with us and she just kept left us waiting. That was unbelievable!!!
My family and friends had a good time. The live DJ was perfect. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you
Everything was great 👍 our server, Gabriella was sweet, attentive & made our visit even nicer. Thank u❤️
Definitely order the mozzarella....the rest of the menu is mediocre.
It is too noisy, making ambience not good. I may try again with coupon. In the meantime I will not recommend to my friends who love to listen light music .
Valentine's Day dinner. My reserved table was given away so we had to sit in the bar area. Our Caesar salad was given to the wrong table, but it looked like the other couple didn't touch it yet, so they gave the salad to us. Our waitress checked up on us once (which we liked), but was overworked (not her fault). Caesar salad didn't taste good, but main meals were well done.
Service was good and the decor is nice, but the spaghetti was too undone and the pizza was a bit too salty.
Valentines dinner with a friend and boyfriend. Great food and wine.
We just love this restaurant! The ambiance is great and the food is always delicious!
Took our daughter and her friend out for dinner and ordered take out for our son who had a basketball game. Our experience was excellent and everyone can’t wait to go back again.
The food was great and our server was fantastic. The only complaint is that we ordered dessert and it took almost 30mins to come out. Not acceptable in my opinion, especially with three kids anxiously waiting on their ice cream.
It was my first time with the kids and we all loved it. The food was a bit slow coming but management comped the kids meals without us even complaining. They were on top of it. Great food!
Yes, I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
Great ambiance, great food, great wait staff. Price was right!
Way understaffed and poor service. We didn’t even know who our server was. They also messed up our reservation. We asked for table seats and got high top instead. We were then put in a bar, where our server was working behind the bar and serving tables. Meals are served randomly and just left there. Dishes aren’t cleared out and when new entrees came, we had to move things around ourselves so they can put the meals on the table.
Enjoyable, table choice was perfect!! Music too frickin loud !!
Overall the experience was great. However, due to ruptured water pipe in the restaurant, water got into the fire panel and caused the fire bells to ring intermittently. We tried our best to ignore it but it became bothersome after a while. However, this is no fault of the restaurant so we understand. Otherwise, the food was great, the service was very good and quick. Would definitely return.
There was an issue due to water damage and then continuous fire alarms ringing. It ruined our whole dinner. The wait staff did the best they could but there was no sign of management anywhere trying to assure diners understood what was happening and whose experience was being considered. We thought that perhaps we would get a break on drinks or apps or even a gift card for a future date to show that there was understanding our evening was ruined. Nothing was offered. The issue was no one’s fault but how it was managed showed no regard for paying customers. None of our party will return and we will be sure to share our negative experience. This would not have been the case if we were treated well.
Absolutely amazing food, as always! Our visit this time was a little loud (quite literally) because of the fire alarm sounding but the food and service were great! Always a pleasure to visit Scaddabush!
Fire alarm going off during meal. Flood at front. Nothing given to compensate for noise
Great service and atmosphere. They have amazing pasta and gelato!
We had a great time. The food offered on the Social dinner was quite adequate for the four of us. With a pitcher of white sangrias, we had a wonderful evening. Friendly and accommodating.
Food is always consistently amazing.
The last Sunday of the month special is amazing!! The amount of food you get for the special is brilliant. It was an amazing dinner with family.
As regulars to this location, we were disappointed by the changes made to the menu and portions. From teeny kids pasta, smaller mozzarella balls, and reduced size of burgers. Burgers should be seen when in a bun, we shouldn’t just see the bread and have to scavenger hunt for the meat, kids pastas used to be enough for our 6 year old now it’s barely enough for our 4 year old (both which of whom are tiny for their age and small eaters), I used to be able to share a mozzarella ball with our son and now he can devour it on his own, went from being larger than my palm to smaller. We are all about portion control, are not a big eaters and understand restaurants are making cuts, but when you’ve become accustomed to a restaurants offerings and they cut down portion sizes this much, the customer feels ripped off.
They were slow to get to us initially but the server was very good and made up for it. The 3 cheese charity bread was not my favorite as I found it quite dry. The zucchini Frits was very good... I liked the hot peppers that decorated the deep fried batter - very tasty. The entrees were good we had spaghetti pasta and pork chop - both were quite good. Desert was a bit disappointing... in fact I can’t completely remember it. It sounded much better than it was... fried batter caramel sauce and ice cream were part of it which you normally can’t beat, but the doughy stuff was super salty and the caramel sauce didn’t have much taste.
It was my wife’s birthday which I had noted on the reservation. No one asked about it or did anything special. I also was asked high or normal table and said normal - we got high. Someone likely just wasn’t paying attention when they took the reservation from open table.
All in all it was okay for uptown. Not sure I’d go back though.
