Lovely as always. Superb food. Sublime service. A perennial favourite!
Excellent as always. The service was great and the food terrific.
Scaramouche never disappoints - Always seems to be perfect - great food choices, service and the best wine list - well balanced - for us it was the place to celebrate our Anniversary. First time for the Pasta Bar and I think we would choose it again, mainly for the menu. #1 in Toronto
I enjoy Scaramouche for dinner .They have a nice wine list and the food is excellent
Food is always terrific, great ambiance with a nice view.
Beautiful restaurant and even better food! We each had a pasta dish and shared the coconut cream pie and left very satisfied.
The valet was a bit lacklustre. No one was initially there and our car was 20 feet away so felt a bit odd. But this was minor in comparison to the wonderful food and experience.
Mains were good but not great. Dessert was delicious. Service was very attentive. Great for a special occasion dinner (Birthday).
Another great dinner at The Pasta Bar. Whether it’s the main dining room or the Pasta Bar, Scaramouche never disappoints. Impeccable service. Lovely atmosphere. Terrific food. The Peppercorn Pasta with beef tenderloin was excellent. The liver with onion rings was perfect. Deep Fried Calamari appetizer can’t be beat except maybe by the new Salt Cod Fritters which were incredible. The only disappointment was that they’re taken Steak Tartare off the menu. It was the best in Toronto. Their signature Coconut Creak Pie sets the standard for this dessert classic.
Tried out the pasta bar side this time - great experience. A little more relaxed than the other side. Food was delicious as usual. I always go for the generous portion of coconut cream pie. Only surprise was receiving actual french fries with my steak... just seemed odd for this restaurant. Any other form of potatoes would have matched the dish. Besides that, all of our dishes were perfect. I think our servers name was Andres - he was welcoming and aware, but didn't hover which was nice. Gave a good wine recommendation as well.
Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see a notice that we could have our table for only 2 hours, so that was a surprise when we arrived! Definitely was not told of this when I received a phone message the day before, asking to confirm the reservation. We like to linger a bit with our friends (who love this place) so would have probably dined elsewhere had I known. I made the reservation a month prior, so was surprised yet again at the table we were given. It was right near a pillar, where as I leaned back to allow our nice server to clear the table, I was hit in the head by a passing server. Green salad was basic, fresh enough but not very flavourful. Chitara (with meatballs) was tasty. Cheese platter was stingy with the portions. Fish and steak were good. I find the service here a bit unnecessarily stiff--prompt enough but lacking warmth. Wouldn't be my choice for an enjoyable dining experience.
A favorite, great food, reasonably priced, best view possible, varied menu in a friendly atmosphere.
Three of us dined to clebrate our mutal birthdays . Not only was I surprised not to see bread on the table, but saw that for $3.00 bread could be ordered with a portion of the money going to a local food bank. If I want to donate money I will do so, but I do not expect this at one of Toronto's finest restaurants. It made me uncomfortable . We all donate to many worthwhile charities, but do not
expect to be asked for a donation if we choose to enjoy bread at an upscale restaurant like Scaramouche. I realize the restaurant is making a statement, but suggest they find a way that does not include the dining experience.
The food was delicious as always, although the service left a lot to be desired. We ordered some bread with our wine to start, and had to remind the waiter about it. It finally all came at once, with our appetizers, which was not what we envisioned. Other than the poor overall service, the meal was lovely.
Excellent in every way. Only small criticism was a 15 minute delay after seating before a server appeared. And then everything was smooth and excellent service. Very attentive.
Perhaps my favourite restaurant in town.
The food is consistently good, if not great. The pepper beef pasta is amazing and the Cream Pie is to die for.
As always, Scaramouche is classic elegance and doesn’t disappoint.
First time to visit restaurant , we wanted to celebrate our anniversary, the dinning experience was beyond our expectation, food was amazing, the service was so friendly, they made our night a joyful happy night, we will always choose restaurant and recommended to our friends.
One of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. Have been here many times and have never been disappointed. Service is always excellent. Food is amazing. Can’t go wrong!
We had a lovely time celebrating a family bday.... service was great , good food and ambiance.
Alway a special occasion there
The service was impeccable, the food superb!
Superb evening - delicious food and wine, excellent service!
Amazing restaurant, we went their 20 years ago so we found it befitting to go back for our 20th anniversary! The ambiance, the food, the service all top notch, but one gripe was we told the waiter and before that the host that i was our 20th anniversary, and if it was my 5 star restaurant I would have at least sent over a small cake, which was not done, especially since we were 4 of us ( kids in tow!) but other than that 'oversight' it was great!
Impeccable service, exquisite food and pleasant surroundings.
Outstanding. Fabulous. As always..................my third time in the last month.
Never disappoints!! Always a favourite !
I have been coming to the pasta bar for 20 years starting in my 20s to now and it is familiar and comforting in the best kind of way while remaining special to us
Love Scaramouche. Filet mignon perfect, coconut cream pie yummy with Happy Anniversary written on the plate in chocolate drizzle!
An excellent meal in a beautiful setting
A treat to eat there as always. It never disappoints
It's one of the top restaurants because it IS one of the best. Service is terrific, portion sizes nice and quality of food and ingredients fabulous.
Although the setting was lovely and the service attentive, I was disappointed with the food. The salt cod fritters were greasy and almost entirely lacking in flavour. I had the wild mushroom pasta. The mushrooms were under-cooked and the dish was really bland and undistinguished. My husband said his calamari was very ordinary. His pasta, with bass and rapini, was very good. The menu is surprisingly limited and the specials, not very special, in my opinion. All in all, considering the cost it was a lacklustre meal. There are so many wonderful and original places to eat in Toronto. I wish we'd thought a little harder about where to go for a 60th birthday dinner.
Excellent meal and service. Lovely views of city, would be especially nice in summer due to surrounding trees.
A good choice foe a special occasion
Excellent drinks. Excellent food. Excellent service!
First time there was a gift. Such a good experience we will go there again for sure.
My favourite place in Toronto! Always great food, great service, great anbiance.
The service was excellent. The view was amazing. The Chilean Bass was average at best and the dessert cheese tray was lacking compared to others. However, the milk & honey dessert was delicious.
Second time at Scaramouche and it never disappoints. This place is just the perfect mix of great food, impeccable service, and romantic atmosphere. The romaine hearts and peppercorn fettuccine will always be my go-tos. Recommend to anyone looking for a romantic dinner away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
