Scaramouche Pasta Bar
My husband and I always celebrate special occasions at Scaramouche. The menu is always interesting with great options. The service this time was not quite as seamless. It seemed a little “rushed” for a Tuesday night with empty tables around us. Love the Coconut Cream Pie.
One of the best meals in the city! Lovely service as well, very warm & welcoming
consistently good food and service.
Wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
It has become our favourite date place in Toronto!
As usual the Pasta Bar was first class.
Great service, delicious food and one of the best views in the city.
The service was exceptional, as were the desserts and the coffee. The soup and main course were tasty, but a little disappointing. The portion of soup was just adequate, but the pappardelle contained very little venison, which was ground, a fact that the menu hadn’t mentioned. The Shiraz was excellent. We might well give the restaurant another try, but we’ll probably order something else next time.
Food & service was excellent . Celebrated birthday.
Ryan is the best!!! Makes every visit special
Food always amazing. Love the hosts.
Excellent as always !
Enjoyed the evening very much. Had a great table with a view. Service and food were excellent.
The place is lovely, food great and dessert exquisite
First Time at the pasta bar part of scaramouche
Best views of the city if you get a window table
Super great dinner
Food and service as always is exceptional. Valet parking service always punctual and respectful. The decor is outdated and in desperate need of a more modern look.
Our experience eating at the pasta bar was disappointing. Perhaps the worst part was the noise level which was so loud that it was difficult to talk across the table.
Excellent service, very elegant decor and amazing food !!!
Elegant and fun, exquisite food, superb service. Convivial!
Always outstanding, and it was again: my wife andI had the grilled liver - amazing.
Good service, good view, good food. Just way too loud to be considered a fine dining restaurant.
Excellent service. Food was good but not spectacular. Overall good place. Dessert was over the top!
I took my husband here for his birthday and he loved everything about his experience; from the table with a view, the fresh baked bread and humus, best steak tartare he has ever eaten, delicious main, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable service. Our adult children love the Pasta Bar too.
Always a wonderful meal, excellent service, and nice view if you can get a seat near the window.
Lovely as always. Superb food. Sublime service. A perennial favourite!
Excellent as always. The service was great and the food terrific.
Scaramouche never disappoints - Always seems to be perfect - great food choices, service and the best wine list - well balanced - for us it was the place to celebrate our Anniversary. First time for the Pasta Bar and I think we would choose it again, mainly for the menu. #1 in Toronto
I enjoy Scaramouche for dinner .They have a nice wine list and the food is excellent
Food is always terrific, great ambiance with a nice view.
Beautiful restaurant and even better food! We each had a pasta dish and shared the coconut cream pie and left very satisfied.
The valet was a bit lacklustre. No one was initially there and our car was 20 feet away so felt a bit odd. But this was minor in comparison to the wonderful food and experience.
Mains were good but not great. Dessert was delicious. Service was very attentive. Great for a special occasion dinner (Birthday).
Another great dinner at The Pasta Bar. Whether it’s the main dining room or the Pasta Bar, Scaramouche never disappoints. Impeccable service. Lovely atmosphere. Terrific food. The Peppercorn Pasta with beef tenderloin was excellent. The liver with onion rings was perfect. Deep Fried Calamari appetizer can’t be beat except maybe by the new Salt Cod Fritters which were incredible. The only disappointment was that they’re taken Steak Tartare off the menu. It was the best in Toronto. Their signature Coconut Creak Pie sets the standard for this dessert classic.
Tried out the pasta bar side this time - great experience. A little more relaxed than the other side. Food was delicious as usual. I always go for the generous portion of coconut cream pie. Only surprise was receiving actual french fries with my steak... just seemed odd for this restaurant. Any other form of potatoes would have matched the dish. Besides that, all of our dishes were perfect. I think our servers name was Andres - he was welcoming and aware, but didn't hover which was nice. Gave a good wine recommendation as well.
Maybe I missed it, but I didn't see a notice that we could have our table for only 2 hours, so that was a surprise when we arrived! Definitely was not told of this when I received a phone message the day before, asking to confirm the reservation. We like to linger a bit with our friends (who love this place) so would have probably dined elsewhere had I known. I made the reservation a month prior, so was surprised yet again at the table we were given. It was right near a pillar, where as I leaned back to allow our nice server to clear the table, I was hit in the head by a passing server. Green salad was basic, fresh enough but not very flavourful. Chitara (with meatballs) was tasty. Cheese platter was stingy with the portions. Fish and steak were good. I find the service here a bit unnecessarily stiff--prompt enough but lacking warmth. Wouldn't be my choice for an enjoyable dining experience.
A favorite, great food, reasonably priced, best view possible, varied menu in a friendly atmosphere.
Three of us dined to clebrate our mutal birthdays . Not only was I surprised not to see bread on the table, but saw that for $3.00 bread could be ordered with a portion of the money going to a local food bank. If I want to donate money I will do so, but I do not expect this at one of Toronto's finest restaurants. It made me uncomfortable . We all donate to many worthwhile charities, but do not
expect to be asked for a donation if we choose to enjoy bread at an upscale restaurant like Scaramouche. I realize the restaurant is making a statement, but suggest they find a way that does not include the dining experience.
The food was delicious as always, although the service left a lot to be desired. We ordered some bread with our wine to start, and had to remind the waiter about it. It finally all came at once, with our appetizers, which was not what we envisioned. Other than the poor overall service, the meal was lovely.
Excellent in every way. Only small criticism was a 15 minute delay after seating before a server appeared. And then everything was smooth and excellent service. Very attentive.
Perhaps my favourite restaurant in town.
The food is consistently good, if not great. The pepper beef pasta is amazing and the Cream Pie is to die for.
