About Scaramouche Restaurant
Scaramouche has long been celebrated by customers and critics for its unwavering commitment to making each dining experience a memorable one. Chef/owner Keith Froggett's sophisticated cuisine is presented simply with care and attention to detail. The service underscores that philosophy: unobtrusive and respectful. The restaurant affords a stunning nighttime vista of the downtown Toronto skyline. These components and more make Scaramouche the singular destination it is. Scaramouche Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
I ordered medium filet mignon, it was so hard and not at all taste like filet mignon.
Amazing food and service. Will go back every time I’m in Toronto!!! Ambiance is a little dated.
Scaramuche is fine dinning at its best!
The ambient is sober and quiet, but relaxed; perfect for a couple’s night out or for a business lunch.
Food was simply extraordinary. I cannot affirm it was the best lamb I’ve ever try, but I would go for top three ever.
But the high note was, as it should be in fine dinning, service. Marcus, our server, was at the same time very professional, meticously caring of details, agreable and expert on both wine and menu.
Definitely one of Toronto’s best restaurants and if ever visiting town again, we will return
It was definitely an extraordinary night we had there. Service was on-point, food was perfect.
Very pretty space, great service that was friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent food, creative menu.
Our favourite restaurant. Hands down. Food, service and view.
The service was impeccable, the food was fantastic, and the place is great for a quiet dinner with friends and family...the ravioli was fresh and tasted like late summer, the steaks were raved over - overall a fantastic evening!
Worst experience ever. Can't believe the Waitress pouring the extremely hot water into my friends hand. Bad
Wonderful dinner. Food was fantastic and we got a table next to the window. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Our main waiter was fantastic. Very professional and polite. The other servers were also excellent. A great eating experience.
The menu was interesting, the food perfect from appetizer to dessert and the staff informed, attentive and gracious. The ambience and view are both special.
The staff from the moment we entered the restaurant to the time we left were so attentive to our dining pleasure and experience. They were there to answer questions and provide suggestions which worked out very well for all of us. Such great people skills. This has been our favourite restaurant for the last thirty years and while we have not frequented your establishment on a regular basis it has been a truly memorable experience everytime. Your chef / chefs were absolutely amazing. Thank you!!!!!
It was our wedding anniversary so a very special occasion for us. We were not disappointed! The service was first class and the menu choices explained thoroughly and enthusiastically. Though expensive it was an occasion we won't forget. Thanks
We went there for my spouse's birthday dinner. Food quality was excellent and service was very good. We were informed about the night's special by our wonderful host. They were all very attentive and very prompt. The filet mignon was perfectly medium, the halibut was done nicely as well. For dessert we had Roasted Ontario Peaches. Everything was sublime.
I finally had a chance to try Scaramouche and it was really great. Service was excellent, atmosphere was business professional and it was great for a birthday occasion. Parking is valet only. You don't pay for this, but of course we did leave a tip when we received the car at the end of the night. We shared the shrimp and lobster appetizer which was fresh, creative, and flavorful! We followed with sharing the octopus, which tasted good, but not as tender as I've made myself at home. It did have very good flavour, but I would try something different next time. I had the filet for my main dish, the flavor was outstanding, the portion of filet I thought could be a bit more, they cut the steak and give you three slices, mine were quite thin, but it was filling enough, especially after the coconut cream pie! My partner had the lamb, it was not very hot and the flavours on the dish including chick peas, carrots, and onions, didn't stand out like the filet. But overall it was a great dining experience. If you like cocktails, try the scarmacouch special, it comes with champagne, pineapple juice and other flavors, very delicious and strong! We shared a half bottle of amarone wine and the bill came to $265 plus tip. I would recommend trying this for a special occasion. I will certainly try the pasta bar and grille side of the restaurant next time.
A memorable experience with all around great ambience, food and service! Thank you to all the hosts of this great restaurant!
Great food but charging $7 for still water without first noting this cost is not acceptable.
The restaurant is outstanding. The service was excellent and the food was very nice. The wine list is very good but the house cocktails are marvelous.
We were 3 people and we did not had a bad order. All the orders were spectacular.
If u can get a reservation get one!! Outstanding on every level. Food, services, cocktails & wine superb.
Wanted to try this place for years. Disappointing. Veal was undercooked. Just not what I thought it would be
Food is really good!!!! Lack of waiters so pretty slow. Overall needs to try for sure
Food quality was excellent and service was very good. The menu has meat and fish choices, and there is a very good wine list. Seating is nicely spaced so you have some privacy. Great view of the downtown skyline. Reservations are a must.
Everything was fancy. Nice experience.
It wiuld be nicer if they work on the restaurant decor.
Otherwise it would be perfect.
Marcus our server was fabulous. Helped pick wine, make food choices. The fish special was amazing and very memorable. Great mastery of cuisine.
I booked a hotel able at this restaurant having heard good reviews from friends. It did not disappoint. Service was great and not too chummy and the food was excellent.
Great on all levels ...service was awesome and a special touch with personalized desert for the occasion!!
Decent spot- good value for the food- weird location
Scaramouche never disappoints. Food is meticulous, restrained, skilled and innovative.
We had a great time. Everything was superb - food wine service and timing of food delivery. Excellent atmosphere. Will be back.
The Service at Scaramouche was impeccable, the food absolutely superb and we will be back! Great for a special occasion. The coconut cream pie is a must !
The service was exceptional. The sommelier was a treat, very smart & helpful. The food was literally gobsmackingly good ( clapping a hand to one's mouth in astonishment).
Best birthday dinner ever.
The food was amazing as expected, however the waiter didn't split our bill as we asked, even though he said it would be "so easy" to do.
One of the best dining experiences in Toronto.
Great ambience with an old time quiet feeling for a special occasion or a special someone
Came to celebrate a retirement. Appetizers were fabulous. My wife had the corn soup and I had the fois gras. Buttery smooth but not inexpensive for an appetizer- $29. I had the halibut and while it is a mild fish. There was very little flavor as there was no seasoning. My wife's lamb meal had to be sent back as it was not hot. We expected them to prepare a new meal given the price point but all they did was reheat the plate. Now it was good but thought they would get it right first time. Wine is VERY expensive. Corkage is $60 if you bring your own. Which many people did. Service was good and attentive. Bill for two bottles of wine and four appetizers and four entrees and two desserts (which were excellent) and three coffees and an after dinner liquor with tax was $633.
As a foodie I was in heaven. Everything we ate was fantastic and memorable.
Es hat richtig vielFreude gemacht.
Wir würden sehr freundlich bedient und das Essen war alle Ankündigungen der Reiseführern wert.
Beautiful view of the city at night, and a romantic atmosphere
