Celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday at Schnitzels with our daughter. The food was delicious and the service was great! It was our first time but it will not be our last. We had fried pickles, bruschetta, 3 meals and dessert. My background is German, and the food is authentic!! Can’t wait to go back!!
Food taste and quality not at all what it used to be 2-3 years ago. My wife\s pizza was try very little taste. My golash meat was dry maybe freezer burn and taste not to par.
Delicious food. Great restaurant.
We went for lunch and found the very limited compared to pre-COVID. Hopefully, you will add some of the previous lunch items to your menu. Alway enjoyed your venue for lunch and dinner.
Hi Colleen, Thank you very much for your feedback. We understand your disappointment with the smaller lunch menu options... We have had to minimize the menu to help streamline the the flow of the restaurant, and to keep our inventory smaller. With current times, we have had to adjust our operations drastically to accommodate both with health regulations, and our "new" way of operating. Our dinner menu does have more selection! We hope you will dine again with us in the future :)
Our appetizers and main course were extremely well done. The apple strudels were delicious. However good the bottom of cheesecake was burnt. This will not stop us from going again for a great lunch or dinner.
Pizza night on Tuesday always a great night.
Such a great place to eat, the food is amazing! I highly recommend ❤️
Our service was excellent! Our waiter was friendly, courteous, and right on top of our needs.
We will certainly be back.
The food was verry good, I'm a big eater and i could not finis my meal. That never hapend to me before, very big portions. The waiter was very good and pleasent, the service was great.
Service was great but my pizza was undercooked and my wife’s steak was tasteless she said.
We had the chicken parmigiana & Kiev and both were cooked perfectly.
Service was was spot on.
Great food every time we go! I love that the menu changes often enough :)
Delicious food and great service! What more could you ask for.
We live in Allentown but when in Cornwall we always try to eat at Schnitzels. Food is always as I expect it and authentic. Staff always friendly and helpful.
Awesome evening "Shop the Block".
Great food and service.
Wish you hadn't taken the bread away. Enjoyed it with my appetizer
Thank you for the 5 star review! The decision to omit the bread was due to a lot of waste and various dietary restrictions with guests. (Gluten free, keto, Celiac). We now offer a house made Focaccia bread served warm in our wood oven with olive oil and dark balsamic for $4.95 :)
Recommended only for the ambiance. Warm and inviting. Perogies were very doughy and cold. Vienna schnitzel was small, thick and tough. I have had many escallope de veal Viennoise in Europe and it is normally very thin and tender. Pizza in wood oven looked good but did not have it.
We apologize for your recent dining experience with us. We have recently made some adjustments to our Vienna Schnitzel. The particular batch you had was not tenderized enough, and the end product led to the thick cutlet. We've taken extra steps to double our tenderizing stage for our veal cutlets. Giving us a much more delicate and sizable end product.Perogies, it is never our intention to serve cold food. We gladly could of prepared a new order. We hope you will give us another chance!
We were seated in a very nice area. Private for our party, but still part of the ambiance. We were served right away, drinks refilled in a timely manner. Food was amazing, as always. By far, my favourite restaurant in Cornwall. The absolute best staff, and my favourite foods, no matter what I’m in the mood for. Also love the variety of beer on tap, especially Wood Brothers! Top notch!
Everything was amazing as always TP! Thanks again.
Schnitzels is one of my favourite restaurants in the city of Cornwall. I don't eat out a lot but tend to choose to go to your restaurant. Last time I had the Mediterranean Salad for the first time. Absolutely wonderful. I'll definitely order it again.
In town for work and it's a fave stop for a meal in downtown Cornwall. Had the steak and took a pizza back to the hotel for a late night snack.
Although I made a reservation, it was not in their system and I had to sit in the bar area. The food was good but not exceptional. The service was also good given how busy it became.
Waitress was great, but we found the portion size small for the value. Food was average. I personally wish I went somewhere else but I had to check this place out.
Our server and girl in training were fantastic, they made the night. Very pleasant and helpful
The chicken schnitzel was everything I wished for and more. It is a favourite meal of mine. Lots of choice for sides. Would go again and recommend it highly.
Three of us ordered the schnitzel, 2 chicken and 1 pork. My other friend had pasta, which she said was delicious.
My other2 friends and myself ate most of our meals , but it was way too salty. You could see the salt on the plate and food, and we didn’t salt at all. I felt bad as I recommended that we go there.
We told our server, she said she’d mention it to the cook. It would have been delicious without all that salt.
Vienna schnitzel was $25 and was not worth $10. The piece of "milk fed" veal was way too small and not very tender quality wise. The spaetzle serving size was also small. The root veggies were not cooked!!! They chopped up raw carrots etc in large chunks and just tossed around in a frying pan and served raw!!! Hurt my teeth! I initially sent the plate back asking for a decent size schnitzel and waitress returned it stating the kitchen refused request! Later I told her the veggies were raw and I would not be eating them. I asked her to report my concerns to the manager and was told there was no manager (on a Saturday night?) She said she would tell the person in charge. Then she delivered my bill. Full price $25 I asked if she had discussed my plate with acting supervisor. She had not! I asked her to go and speak to him. She came back with a new bill with less than a $4 discount!!! No supervisor came to speak to us. Obviously did not care at all about the customer experience! Sad!
This restaurant is a favourite place to meet, celebrate and just enjoy the food!
Great service by "Kaileigh"! Quaint laid-back style patio, good food and nicely presented. We will dine there again. There were no mosquitoes!
Schnitzels is authentic and comfortable. The food is great and the service is always excellent. We were there on a very busy Friday evening so things were a bit slower but still well within acceptable limits. The staff is knowledgeable and polite. On busy nights it can be a bit noisy. We were seated in a small alcove in the front of the restaurant which helped with the noise (it didn’t bother us at all and we’re both somewhat hearing challenged) and gave us a view of the busy patio. Dinner a Schnitzels has become a delightful tradition for us!
First time and won't be our last. 5 of us in total and everyone loved their meal - including picky eaters. A true gem in Cornwall.
Excellent food. We had the Vienna Schnitzel and the Hungarian Goulash. The Goulash in particular was very well done.
Yes, but I would caution them about the price. I found it far too expensive for what we received.
We’ve been going here for years and is one of our favourites in Cornwall! Have always been satisfied with menu, food and service and value. But was disappointed with this last visit and the menu change. Prices seem higher. We didn’t receive any fresh bread that usually comes before our meal. And with the price of my entree a small side salad would have been nice to be included. My husband had a small meat lovers pizza. I had the salmon. Had one glass of wine each and one dessert to share. Our bill was almost $100 with tip. We are being totally honest in saying it wasn’t worth it and was disappointed. The server was pleasant and courteous no complaints there. We still enjoyed ourselves overall but sadly won’t be back for awhile and will be hoping for a menu change before we do. Thank you.
Awesome Vienna schnitzel and portobello mushroom tower great meals thanks will be back
Beef goulash was very well seasoned.
Service was very good.
Long time customer arrived to find the menu changed and diminished. My wife's vegetables were literally raw. MY ravioli was good but the portion was much too small. The ambiance is the same and the server was excellent.
Yes - food was good, over all comfort was poor - booth near front of restaurant was cold
We were very excited to try the new menu but we were very underwhelmed after.
2 of us ordered PIZZA'S and they were very very soggy. One of my favorite things to reheat was your pizza. It was mush.
Another of our party had the fish and chips. She found plating awkward. And the fish greasy.
The last member of our party had the schnitzel. He was sad to see the schnitzel trio had been removed from the new menu. His food was ok.
Might try again in the future but not for a very long while.
Reserved a table for 2 on Valentine’s Day. The food was great, but the service was slow (busy day so it’s understandable). However, it’s very obvious that the tables were arranged to accommodate more people since it was Valentine’s Day. We ended up sitting right in centre of two other couples. Our tables were just basically pushed apart like a foot. It was very awkward and made having a conversation impossible. It’s good that they wanted to accommodate more people, but they completed sacrificed customer comfort in order to make a few extra bucks.
