   The food and presentation were very good. The only problems we had were getting coffee and tea. We had to keep waiting after we asked for it and they were warm, not hot.

   My children and I had a reservation for the Mother's Day Brunch. The food and service was ok. I am disappointed because they did not serve many of the items that listed for the Mother's Day Brunch. I was looking forward to having lamb chops and crab legs.

   It was all buffet but, not enough of a variety or level to charge $60 per person with an automatic gratuity of 20%. Alcohol was additional. We had been to dinner buffets there in the past and had the choices of lobster, oysters etc for the same price but despite some variety, not anything special.

   The place is in a hotel, so they charge you parking which is not validated. 30$ if you’re not a hotel guess which isn’t mentioned anywhere. Food was great, service did the best they could being understaffed (our server was excellent!)- but it was extremely expensive for what it was. Definitely not going back.

   So poorly mismanaged. We arrived for our 7:30 seating, and at 8:15 my husband finally went to the bar for our drinks, but waited 15 minutes there…so an hour later we had something to drink. Our waitress kept forgetting who ordered what with everyone around us. The people across from us had a 6:30 seating and received their dinners at around 8:30. We left without ever eating anything at around 8:45. No offer of anything but water. No flowers, no candlelight, no music. The host said they only had two waitstaff, and apologized. With a planned event at a hotel, one would think that they would have staffed it more appropriately, or taken on less reservations. It definitely didn’t seem like a kitchen issue. We wound up going elsewhere, where the service was excellent and the food as well. Most disappointing!

   We chose this restaurant because they had a valentine weekend special dinner. We made 7:30 reservations and we’re on time. We should have known when it took us 10 minutes to be seated there was a service issue with not enough staff. We were shown our table and sat there for almost 20 minutes before anyone came over to us. It wasn’t the staffs fault, there just was enough of them. We finally ordered a drink, and without exaggeration, it took one full hour to get it. There is a huge bar in front of the restaurant with a hundred people sitting there and only one bartender. The food finally came out and was delicious, but the lack of service made the evening very tense and unpleasant. Once the staffing issue gets fixed, this is a great place for dinner

    The restaurant took a reservation for brunch at 11:30am on a Sunday however when I showed up for the reservation, the restaurant was closed. When I inquired at the front desk, I was told that “when hotel occupancy is low, they sometimes forego opening the restaurant.” Would have been great to know that there was no brunch before my friends and I showed up that day. How hard would it be for whomever there that is responsible for managing Open Table to ensure that the system only takes reservations for when they’re actually open?

    My husband and I enjoyed the Buffet at Ocean Place. The atmosphere, the excellent service made this event worthwhile. We hve not dined out in in a very long time and made the decision to attend the Buffet. We are happy with our decision and we are waitin for Valentines Day event at your facility.

    It was very expansive for the buffet spread they had. Other places nearby have better options for dinner.., they didn’t tell the buffet price in advance so it came as a shock to me

    The service was so slow that we couldn’t get drinks served until we were done eating. The dirty dishes were not picked up from the table so we could return to the Buffett to continue eating what we paid for. The waitress kept apologizing and disappearing without working. We couldn’t get the bill in time and missed the fireworks. Gratuity was excessively built into the bill without any service. The food was below average.

    We ran into traffic and was 15 min late. I called several times on the way and kept getting the answering machine and I left a message saying we would be 15 minutes late. We arrived 15 min late and they said they knew nothing about our reservation. When we arrived have the restaurant was empty and they looked confused and said they don’t take reservations. They got the manager. We were soft and gentle and never raised our voice and caused any attention. The manager came out yelling at us. I asked her to lower her voice and calm down and she said that’s how she speaks. They refused to serve us…. By the way it was my birthday brunch…. It’s not the same place it used to be 4-5 years ago … lower quality service and atmosphere. We went to McCloones for lunch instead with no reservations and it was lovely. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Ocean Place Seaview !!!

    So this isn't really a restaurant, it's just an area in the lobby. It took almost 10 minutes to get seated. Once done, it took almost 20 minutes to get a drink which was wrong. They were clearly understaffed, the hostess was taking orders and the bartender was running food. Hard to really give a fair assessment when the staffing wasn't up to the crowd, not that it was super busy but overall disappointing

    We loved our meal at Seaview on Saturday night! We sat outside with heat lamps and enjoyed the music from the bar area. The service was great (thank you Keith) and the food was delicious! We ordered from the fixed price Restaurant Week menu and enjoyed everything. From soup/salad, main course and dessert (yum!), we all cleaned our plates! We would definitely take the ride from central NJ again.

    The waitress was amazing great services but the only problem I had was the food my husband and I order salmon and half of the fish wasn’t even cooked and my daughter ordered macaroni lobster which was very bland no flavor but they still charged us for the food it’s very disappointing from a high end hotel.

    Good price for the Valentine’s Day Friday/Saturday weekend. We had reservations that Saturday. Courteous, prompt service. Good NJ strip steak portion, the squash-apple soup was tasty.

    This was My first experience with Ocean Resort. Whoever did the event advertising did a great job. My husband and I were excited to bring my 4 year old granddaughter . Because she had such a good experience it helped ours along. The idea of the brunch and cookie decorating, Coloring , and some entertainment was very well laid out. We were greeted by a friendly fellow who hung up our coats. However the big issue was the food. The selection was fine but most of the food was on the cool side. This area seemed to be overlooked. My husbands food had to be heated and I was busy coloring to be bothered. The waitress was very attentive. Santa’s helpers were perfect! The overall experience was good Could have been 5 stars if the food was hot and another person making omelets. We never did get one. We had the early reservation and possibly why they were not prepared. I would like to try it again next year or sooner for another event.but will keep my eye on the reviews.

    Breakfast with Santa was absolutely terrible. It was supposed to be from 9-12 and we had an 11:45 reservation for 6 of us. We got there at 11:30 and we had brought my nephew so asked if it would be a problem to add another. The restaurant was absolutely empty except for one table. They said it would be fine but it took 15 minutes to seat us. Both hostesses walked away and left us standing there. There was lemon water on the counter which was warm and tasted as though it had been sitting. By the time we sat, Santa was gone and we never saw him. The food was cold and had been sitting, there was no one manning the few stations that they had. The coffee was cold and the waitress seemed to be annoyed that we were there. Other Santa breakfasts that I had been to had seatings through the time they had posted. Their breakfast was pretty much closed up, they should not have taken a reservation for the Santa breakfast if it was over. It was supposed to include a mimosa however we were never offered one and when we asked a manager he said it wasn't supposed to include one. We even showed him the advertisement online and he still continued to say it must have been a mistake. I would NEVER go here again. It is a beautiful place and I was shocked to see how empty it was however after being there I can clearly see why they had no customers.

    We waited for 1.5 hours for our food to find out that there are 30 orders ahead of us. We therefore left the place without eating. It became obvious that they were grossly understaffed!

    Made a reservation on Open Table for Saturday evening at 7pm, we just wanted a light snack so the “all day menu” with sandwiches and burgers sounded perfect. The menu did not have any of the all day items on it, it was the “Dinner Menu”. The waiter had no idea what we were talking about, he said those dishes are on the lunch menu only. He called the manager who had the same reaction and took a picture of my phone, to look into it. Meanwhile we were offered a “comped” appetizer and ordered from the menu. My husband had a pork chop and I ordered the gnocchi in honey butter cream sauce and fine herbs. The pork chop was ok, my meal was a bowl of sauce with some gnocchi floating in it. I sent it back, it looked truly awful and tasted worse. Ordered the OP grilled chicken, by the time I got it my husband was done. My dish was two pieces of paper thin dried out grilled chicken without anything else on the plate, for $29. So the sole pork chop and dry chicken was $60 before tax and tip - and we just wanted some burgers or sandwiches... The manager came over after and mentioned that the gnocchi is not very good, the chef is in the process of changing the menu. Also, on Open Table, there was a note of “1 special” per dinner, which was supposed to be a Three Course. Meal for $19 thru April 15, showing on June 22nd!!! When the sandwiches were not available we asked about the special, and the manager never heard of that either, so he took a picture of my phone again! Overall, we had a terrible meal, without drinks or sides for $80, definitely would not recommend it. Too bad because the view outside is awesome. So just go for a drink at the Tiki Bar and admire the view - eat at a different restaurant!

    They only had buffet and it was not listed on there website for Fathers day. Also there was not many options to eat as well. At that point we were stuck with no other other place to go. My whole family was very unhappy.

    So sad because the place has an outstanding view of the beach, but everything else about the restaurant is a letdown. After we were seated, we were waiting for a good 5-10 mins before anyone came to ask for our drinks. I remember there was a family next to us, and one of them asked the staff if they can have a waiter after no one came. Plus, there was a lack of food choices, with food covering less than half the buffet area, and the quality seemed pretty normal and unoriginal.

    Nice Memorial Day weekend night, all other restaurants full at 7:30 pm. Made reservations for 8. Told by a very nice (and competent) matress d' that there would be slow service and tried to get us a table at their outdoor seating area which has it's own kitchen. They were full, however. THough this restaurant was fairly empty, the service was horrible. OUr waiter didn't seem to understand what we wanted from the menu and what accompanied each entry on the menu. The brought out the main courses after a fairly long wait, and 5 minutes later brought out the cold appetizer that we had ordered (which we sent back). The food was mediocre at best (salmon, scallops, chicken caesar salad.) They were not prepared for the crowds, though there were no significant crowd: Maybe 10 tables taken in an area that can handle perhaps 50 tables. Clearly they had a problem with the kitchen staff. The restaurant had a faint odor of chlorine, probably from the indoor pool across the hall.

    I ate lunch there while I attended a convention. The food and drink were tasty and the service was very good. I had a seat next to the window with a beautiful view. I enjoyed my meal.
