Can't say enough positive:Food, drink, service ! We've tried most of the menu and cocktails . Never been even slightly disappointed. Mains and starters creatively conceived and executed. Swordfish and Halibut among the best seafood dishes I've ever had and I've been frequenting Boston and New York restaurants for decades. Daily crudo always a go to..never mind fresh oysters. Many of the staff have been there for years . That says a lot about the enterprise. Wine list excellent..great Chablis selection.

Too noisy. Was not made aware at booking that reservations for 2 people are stuck at a cramped bar, NOT a table. We fortunately were moved to a four seat table when one opened up - located right at the top of the stairs down to the bathroom and also (amazingly enough) right in front of a serving station. My date and I agreed this shouldn’t even be a table, it was so bad. Food was good and the service people were nice, and helpful. They can’t help it that it’s the volume of an Ac/Dc concert in there. NOT a first date place, go with your rich college buddies.

Very good products brought to exceptionally good level by kitchen staff. Species of fish prepared in imaginative ways that delighted the taste buds, and excited mentally. The different preparations were amazing and delicious. Staff was very warm, inviting and extremely helpful with recommendations and advice. Honestly felt as if my wife and I were on a very enjoyable vacation. Can’t recommend enough to anyone looking for a break from the norm of carbon copy menus and an extremely satisfying experience. Perfect score!

We just visited Select Oyster Bar for the first time this past weekend to celebrate our daughter's college graduation and it was fantastic! Stephanie was an amazing server that was able to recommend great dishes, including which oysters were best. The food was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the salmon crudo, hamachi crudo, oysters, clams (with their delicious bread), beet salad, ribeye and swordfish. It was an excellent place to celebrate.

The bar seats near the windows are a bit tight and very narrow seating outside when weather permits is the best otherwise, a table inside is great and obviously on the bar inside if you like bar seating

Select Oyster Bar is truly special. My wife and I love just sitting at the bar, enjoying the whole bistro vibe, savoring a good glass of wine, catching up on the day's activities, and sharing a dozen oysters and 3 or 4 of the incredible apps (my favorite is the mixed ceviche... it is fire) instead of ordering a plate. The staff is funny, friendly and super attentive. The experience is so relaxing that it blots out all stress. Love dining here... I joke that we should move to Boston just so we can eat here more often!

Outstanding meal and great service. Started with oysters; then their octopus dish which is not to be missed plus special tuna crudo and hamachi from the main menu. We finished with the swordfish. All superbly prepared with interesting combinations to enhance the flavor of each dish. We have been multiple times and no reason to stop going now!!

I had the best meal and best experience. I live local and decided to have an early dinner for 1. The oysters are always amazing and at the recommendation of the bartender, I ordered the halibut. It was wonderful. The savannah cocktail was great. Energy high and value great.

This is a really fantastic oyster bar! Service was friendly and top notch from the moment we stepped inside. We sat at the bar and John, our bartender/server, was so great - timing the meals so that we had time to enjoy them and the drinks we ordered. We never felt rushed in any way. The raw bar was so fresh and delicious, and the cooked entrees were excellent. Would be a great local place as well as fun to bring friends and family who are in town.

Sat at the bar despite making a reservation.. which would be fine… but it was very cramped. I planned to order way more but held back since it was so cramped and I needed to get up from the bar.

The food was outstanding. The service was fair at best. Maybe because of grad weekend they were stretched thin. But the waiter said no - we can’t split the salad between 2 plates in the kitchen , we don’t have hot tea and we can cannot lightly steam oysters. Quote “I don’t make the rules”. Maybe it was his delivery that was off putting. Again, food was superb.

A wonderful place to spend an afternoon. I server was amazing others were not quite as hospitable. Great place!
