   Nice last minute reservations. Excellent food, fillet mignon and home made fettuccine w tomatoe sauce and cream. Told them we had tickets for a show and they time managed everything so we had time for desert too! Good food good atmosphere great service.

   Great pasta, and excellent customer service. This restaurant is spacious which makes it great for large, gatherings and get together. which makes it great for large, gatherings and getting together with friends and family. The pasta is excellent as the chef prepares its own sauce.

   Had a lovely dinner, and both had delicious pastas -- the porcini ravioli were delicious, and the lasagna was hearty and yummy. Service was pleasant and attentive. Room volume got a bit too loud as it filled up.

   Delicious meal at a great value. The risotto tartuffo was so good. Getting risotto right is hard and they did it well. The staff was kind and solicitous but not overly intrusive. I was watching the wait staff and the front of house folks and they interacted well with each other. There were smiles on the staff. You can tell a place is well run when they are smiling.

    The food and the service were terrific. As in many restaurants, however, the noise level makes normal conversation impossible. Background music is completely unnecessary. The staff DID make an effort to seat us at as quiet a table as possible after we asked for that, but it was still hard to have pleasant conversation.

    Although the food was delicious, the service was horrible. Appetizers and entrees confused, drinks brought that weren't ordered, and simple requests (such as pepper) simply ignored. There were about 5 - 6 tables occupied when we were there so they can't chalk it up to being busy. Just incompetent.

    The food was outstanding and portion sizes were just right. The service was slow and toward the end of our meal, we felt a little rushed to leave. Desserts were beautifully presented and tasted good, but portion sizes were small for the price. However, the ambiance was very nice and the food runners/bus staff were very attentive. Overall this is a very good restaurant.

    My husband and I waited for some time to be seated but after that, our experience was pleasant and added to our evening. The service was incredible, especially for an establishment which was as busy/active as it was while we were there. Our servers were knowledgeable and worked with us expeditiously so we could get to our event in a timely manner. We appreciated that so much. In addition to that, the calamari was indeed the freshest I had ever had and we eat a lot of calamari! My husband commented on that yesterday. We are certainly going back and bringing our friends with us.

    Initially I was scared off by low review scores - but my brother insisted he's had consistently excellent experiences at other Serafina locations. He was right! Food was excellent- and service was really spectacular!

    My friends came into city for an event at the Beacon Theatre and we’re looking to have a pre -show dinner. They loved the pizza and pasta my shrimp and avocado salad was vey good as well plus that had a nice wine selection and our water was ver nice.

    Perfection!! From the moment we walked in the door, the hostess greeted us immediately, and showed us to our table….our waitress, Ramona was amazing , as were all the servers (busser, etc.). The food was amazing! My husband and I are vegan and we were accommodated no problem! We will be back!

    An easy walk from Central Park on the Upper West Side, Serafina Upper West provided a satisfying lunch experience on a cold winter day. It was pizza for us that day, and the sausage and mushroom pizza was the confirmed favorite. Take time to read the menu to see the variety of options, and I’d recommend against the pizza Margarita — it’s basically just a cheese pizza.

    Several mistakes or shortcomings with the meals. An entree salad with chicken came with no dressing and lacked anything but lettuce and 2 or 3 small tomatoes. Very bland. We also ordered spaghetti squash from the vegetarian menu, and it came with pieces of chicken throughout the meal. Neither meal was offered to be complimentary

    Our wait staff was great. I ordered sea bass and it came cold and tasteless. My husband had filet Mignon and thought it was okay. It was extremely busy and noisy.

    We were seated at 430 on a Saturday. The drinks took awhile to arrive . Maybe ten minutes . The calamari appetizer was cold and chewy not much flavor. The meatballs were good and everyone liked the focaccia Sophia. The pasta dishes we had were good without being great. No time for dessert before a show, service took longer than expected. It’s a good place to go for basic Italian food.

    We arrived for a 5:15 pm seating. (5 pm was unavailable when booking.) Everything went smoothly and we liked our waiter very much for his low-key persona. We discovered by observation throughout the meal that he was new and training. We did not receive a bread basket, but that was okay because we really did not need it. The food was PERFECTLY cooked and presented, delicious to taste, with the portion size spot-on. We ordered espresso (very smooth) and a dessert to share with a bit more than 20 minutes before we needed to leave for the theatre. The espresso arrived after a second request from the seasoned waiter, but not the dessert. Apparently it needed time. (So unless they were defrosting it last minute, I'm at a loss to figure out why they needed 20 minutes to get it to my table.) We requested the bill indicating that we really needed to depart and to take the dessert off the bill. At the 20 minute plus mark we finally signed the check and our original waiter handed me a bag with my dessert inside. Thank goodness I brought a large handbag to stow it in. With the exception of the dessert issue we really loved the food and experience at Serafina's and would definitely go back. I get the feeling that this was just a bit of bad luck for us and not the usual experience one would have.

    When we arrived their screen said that we had already arrived and been seated. The restaurant seated people in our reservation but blamed it on being double booked. When in reality they sat people under my reservation. Restaurant did not apologize. Sat us in the outdoor part of the restaurant (when we booked indoors) where there were not enough heaters so people were cold. However, our servers were great.
