Settlers' Ghost Golf Club
A Restaurant for all Seasons
Settlers’ Ghost is recognized as a unique and exceptional place to play golf and our restaurant has a similar reputation as well. Not only does our restaurant offer a menu far exceeding the expectation of our golfers; we also successfully tantalize the taste buds of many guests that come here just for the dining experience - winter and summer. The restaurant will remain open after the golf course closes for casual fine dining, Christmas parties, New Year’s Eve and for small weddings. Keep us in mind if you are planning a winter event or just planning a night out. Our Chef and staff would love to help cater to your needs whether it’s choosing from our many menu options or creating your own array of choices.
Wonderful dining experience. I had the Teryiaki Salmon and hubby had the Chicken Souvlaki. Both were so delicious. We will definitely be back.
We have been to Settlers Ghost several times and every time is excellent. Great service, EXCEPTIONAL FOOD. Nice patio, nice view. Prices (food and alcohol)are very reasonable and the portions are perfect. I don’t have the same thing twice and I’m never disappointed with my choices. My only complaint which is very minute is dim the lights in the evening for a little more ambience. This is our new favourite restaurant.
Always terrific. Thank you Hilary
Always great. Hilary did a super job. Nice conversation.
The service was excellent and the staff very personable. We really enjoyed ourselves.
The food on the other hand needs improvement. The menu itself was interesting but the taste of the food was lacklustre. I would have to say the fries were the best item.
Wonderful place to enjoy Grandpa’s 77th birthday. Service was excellent with the food arriving promptly and well presented. No hesitations in returning or recommending!
We celebrated my husbands birthday here with friends. Chose the fixed menu selection ($30 p.p.) and the food was AMAZING. Caesar salad, mushroom pasta, and steaks were delicious. They wrote happy birthday...hubby's name in chocolate on the dessert plate which was a nice touch.
When we go on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday these are the golf league nights. The players come in at 8 pm and it gets quite busy. We dined at 6.30 pm and it was lovely.
We would definitely recommend this restaurant.
The food was excellent! We choose The restaurant because it is halfway between Huntsville and Collingwood for a group of friends to meet.
A small suggestion...we all felt that our salads were heavily over- dressed. The homemade dressing was excellent but far too heavy. The flatbread was fabulous!
Nicole is always so friendly to Brenda and I. Great service. Love it.
Went for mother's day brunch and was disappointed with the food. I personally do no like reheated ham and roast beef slices. The Eggs Benedict and scrambled eggs were in self serve pans and were cool and in some cases undercooked. Apple pie was tastless and dry. Asked for custard and got an abrupt answer no. Would not recommend an no value.
Beautiful setting, we were the only ones there celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary from NL. Food was delicious and service was great.
Good food in a pleasant environment with excellent service
We have already told everyone who we’ve met about Settlers Ghost and how wonderful it was. The food was amazing, big city quality. Hold on to that chef! I can hardly wait to go back!
We had a chance to stop in to Settler's Ghost and sample their price fix menu. It was off the charts good.
The menu was well put together and for 30$ you get an appetizer, main and dessert. We had one of each so to speak. My wife had the bruchetta, Salmon and Key Lime pie. I had caesar salad, striploin and apple crisp while my daughter had cream of mushroom soup, mushroom ravioli and brownies for dessert. All in all service was excellent, the meal solid and price was just right. I would highly recommend Settler's and the new restaurant.
Always feel welcomed by staff. Great food and service.
The setting was comfortable, the wait staff exceptional and we even had a chance to meet the chef. An excellent evening and food, fun and laughter. We will definitely go back.
Excellent food. So tasty. Our party of four had different choices and raved about each dish.
Amazing food at a great price. We took advantage of their Taste of Spring 3-course menu and it was fantastic!
Our go to restaurant in Horseshoe Valley. Excellent staff and service.
We each enjoyed our well prepared appetizers and entrees. Everything was very tasty and nicely presented. The staff are attentive, fun and caring which made for a thoroughly enjoyable evening out. Tacos and ravioli were particularly good. Oh and the Bruschetta is fabulous!
We love Settler's Ghost and visit there regularly for dinner. It's always an amazing meal and the staff are fantastic. So friendly and attentive! It's our favourite restaurant for a good meal!
All around - solid dining experience! Service and food were wonderful!
We enjoyed the meal so much we came back the next evening and ordered of the 3 course menu. This time with friends . Service was excellent.
An enjoyable dinner. Service from Nicole and Keely was friendly , attentive and efficient.
Always a great dinner when we are up at horseshoe valley. Very attentive staff, food is great!
This is our first time to the restaurant and we absolutely loved it!
It was a special occasion but now we will be going back for fish and chips night!
Had a cozy table next to the fireplace. The service was excellent. The dinner was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be returning.
I took my wife and my mother to Settlers' Ghost for Valentine's Day dinner and it was outstanding. We were there for Barrielicious as well as regular menu dinners and the quality of the food and service is consistently excellent.
Outstanding restaurant. It is our go to place in Horseshoe Valley.
Great food and exceptional service. Always enjoy our time there
Food was ok, service ok! Went for dinner it was a fixed menu so did not see regular menue
Very pleased with everything. We will return again
Very good food and atmosphere was great. I would go there again.
We received great service throughout the meal. The food was very good.
Both steaks were overcooked. No consideration offered other than sending them back. Barely any asparagus and it was overcooked as well. Upcharge for the very thin striploin on the Barrilicious menu. Overall it was a poor meal and was not good value for the money spent.
I won't attend again.
So sorry you didn't enjoy your dinner. It's very disappointing for us when guests have a bad experience. Would you please come back and give us a second chance? I would love to look after your dinner and have the opportunity to change your opinion. Feel free to contact me by email or phone email@example.com, 705-733-3595 ext 223.
My wife and I are seniors and not used to eating so much especially for Barrielicious where the portions are usually smaller but not here With the appetizers and dessert we both had way too much to eat and the service was very good even though they were busy and she was alone serving the entire room
We both had the chicken souvlaki and were quite happy with our choices
Amazing food . Top notch customer service. Cozy and welcoming. Have never been disappointed !!!!
Good menu, good chef and love the friendly staff.
I went here for the first time with my friend for dinner and it was cozy, the area is all open, there is a fireplace if you get cold,
We both got the special the yummy Rib eye and it was so good!! And got the brownie for desert, it was yummy also!
The only complaint I have would be is that when I finished half of my meal, the server took my plate and didn't ask me if I wanted to take it home and it got thrown out , I was upset because it was so good :(
So next make sure when your food is taken away and you want it for later, say you want to take it home,
They accommodated 9 people with no issues. Kids ordered off the kids and adult menu and were content.
Creemore Springs on-tap!
