Shoe's Cup & Cork
Enjoyed a family brunch with our young children. We were seated upstairs and enjoyed our children asking us about the old cameras, radios and phones. Food came out quickly and tasted great.
The "Poker Room" (the small, upstairs dining room) has great decor and background music to match the early 20th century theme. Tables are a bit cramped together and when the room is full the noise level gets to be a little too much. If you're ok trading some peace for some delightful atmosphere, it is not a bad place to enjoy some delicious food on a special occasion. Everything from the appetizer to the entrees to the dessert all tasted wonderful. Wife and I left our date night dinner here feeling very satisfied.
The good was good. Our only issue is that there are only one or two Vegan items and both were sandwiches. It would be great to have a pasta dish or such as a option. Caleb our server is awesome!
Great brunch menu with mimosa tasting! We were not rushed and the staff was very attentive.
Server was especially helpful and pleasant. Food and atmosphere were awesome.
Great place for drinks and just relaxing with friends or loved ones.
Truly a pleasurable dining experience. Staff was courteous and efficient
The staff here was very friendly. We were seated upstairs but the temperature was quite warm so she attempted to move us downstairs. When she couldn't do that she opened a window for us to cool the room down. The ambiance here is really cool. It's an old shoe shop from the 30s and a lit if the old shop is still visible. The food came out fast and was cooked perfectly.
Very good food, vegetarian & vegan options. Great service!!
Very nice menu. Quality food. Friendly staff. I have only had breakfast, twice, all of dishes were memorable.
The restaurant was quaint and we ate in the secret garden. Disappointed that my first and second choice from the brunch menu was sold out so I settled on the charred Brussel Sprouts and Breakfast potatoes.
The charred Brussel Sprouts were delish. They had layers of flavor as Arugula, Parmesan cheese and caesar dressing was added.
The breakfast potatoes were tasty inspire of being clearly overdone bordering burnt. I wouldn’t have put them
On a plate and presented to the guest but I guess they took a chance and chose to do so.
I don’t know that I will be back anytime soon. Maybe in the future ...
Great experience...we had a group of five and EVERYONE loved their meal!
It was my second time visiting in a week. Eggs were not very hot the second time and we got French fries instead of potatoes which was a little disappointing. Overall, still a great place and will visit again.
Great atmosphere. Rare in this world of chains to find something so distinct and local. And great food.
Overall a good, fun restaurant! I had the muffin basket (good) and the chicken salad sandwich (okay) with parmesan truffle fries (excellent). My friend had a flight of hot cocoa which looked excellent. My friends all enjoyed their brunch meals and drinks. I wish I had requested a bigger table though, it was a bit cramped for 4 adults at our small table. Reservations are needed for this one!
Loved it, had not been in years but plan to be more of a regular.
A really fun place - the decorations are really worth it. Very extensive menu. Good food.
This was my first visit to this restaurant, but it won't be my last. Had an early morning Sunday brunch before heading to the outlets for shopping. Even though it was cool and camp, we decided to eat in the Secret Garden. The heater was on and it was a wonderful experience. Looking forward to our next visit.
Hot chocolate and latte were very good. Sandwiches were disappointing. Fries were crisp, hot and good.
Overall the experience was very good. My chicken salad was satisfying, well made, and a nice combination of flavors and textures. The truffle fries were disappointing - undistinguished Parmesan - but the truffle oil was tasty. The other members of the party enjoyed their dishes for brunch.
Fantastic atmosphere. Highly recommend it for a cozy occasion.
Fun. Definitely not cookie-cutter. So authentic. And great coffee.
Service was outstanding; this was my first time (but definitely not my last) bringing a group for dinner at Shoe's. Loved that it is quiet upstairs and a great atmosphere for a group that wants to chat. Everyone agreed that the food was excellent.
Yesterday I met a few friends for lunch at Shoes. I had made a reservation upstairs in advance which was ready and on time. Our waiter (forgot his name) was friendly, helpful, made recommendations and was very attentive to our group. He willingly offered to take a group photo for us. I appreciated his attentiveness to the timing of our food, refilling drinks, offering dessert/coffee. It was a very pleasant experience and we enjoyed having him as our waiter! Will return the next time I'm in Leesburg. So nice to eat in a restaurant that's NOT a chain!
We really enjoyed our brunch here! I liked that the food wasn't trying too hard to be creative like so many places. They stick with the classics with some added elements to make it special, without being over-the-top. I liked that they had highchairs available for our daughter, but hauling her up the steep stairs was not ideal. Totally worth it though! I love the atmosphere and the antique decor.
It was an amazing experience in the secret garden’s heated tent
This was our first time eating here & it was so good! Definitely reserve your table, as it was very busy. Upstairs is very intimate (quieter, tables close together) so if you're a loud talker or there with a large group/kids, consider sitting on the patio.
We had 2 couples going out for fun.. All the food was fabulous and prepared perfectly...apps, entry and dessert. Waitress was idea.
not a large place upstairs but loved it will be back.
Great food and atmosphere. Service was the weak point. Overall good experience.
Very slow service
Very accommodating! Brought our dog because we were traveling, to dinner and brunch. Loved the Secret Garden atmosphere. They really love dogs! Bear got water and bones and lots of attention. Love this place!
This was the second time I went to Shoe's Cup & Cork and I was very disappointed. The food was not as fresh as it was the first time and it took almost an hour to get our food. It was a busier time so maybe the cooks and/or waiters could not keep up with the amount of people. Also, we wanted the special of three different muffins but they only had two choices. One of the muffins had walnuts which my friend is allergic to so she could only enjoy one. (So much for the special.) It would have been nice if our waitress or menu warned us about the walnuts due to nut allergies.
It took 30 minutes to get my first cup of coffee to my table and well over an hour for eggs and toast.
It was our second visit. Love the secret garden, but it was raining and the umbrellas didn’t really hold the rain back guise enough. Drink more wine and it’s good! Food is okay for dinner. Love this place for coffee, biscuits and pastry. It’s not to be missed, but all day menu is just okay.
Lovely servers. Special place
Okay place for Brunch on Saturday. Biscuits and Muffens are great. Main courses are also good. Servers were pretty pressed, but attentive. We would go back.
I don’t have any negative thing to say about Shoe’s Cup & Cork. The food was wonderful as well as the service and I loved the fact that this place is dog-friendly. It’s a wonderful place to meet up with friends
We enjoyed eating outside on the shady patio even though it was a hot day.
We came into Leesburg for a lacrosse tournament and could have been the reservation from hell. We changed party sizes multiple times on the day of, showed up at different times, and asked (in advance) for separate checks. The team at Shoe's handled all with a smile and made it easy for us. They served us great food in a wonderful atmosphere with impeccable and friendly service. A+ to you, Shoe's! Hope we come back next year!
Delicious food, cute atmosphere
When I called to make the reservation, nobody bothered to mention that the refrigerator was broken & there was no beer available. They also stuck my party of 10 people upstairs where there was no air conditioning, again, without apology or acknowledgment that it was going to be hot up there. The poor server did his best to accommodate us, but it seemed he was stretched thin between a station OUTSIDE & then us INSIDE on the SECOND floor. We ordered some apps then left. No manager even bothered to apologize for any of it, even though we expressed our disappointment to the server. Food was decent, however.
