Very slow service
Very accommodating! Brought our dog because we were traveling, to dinner and brunch. Loved the Secret Garden atmosphere. They really love dogs! Bear got water and bones and lots of attention. Love this place!
This was the second time I went to Shoe's Cup & Cork and I was very disappointed. The food was not as fresh as it was the first time and it took almost an hour to get our food. It was a busier time so maybe the cooks and/or waiters could not keep up with the amount of people. Also, we wanted the special of three different muffins but they only had two choices. One of the muffins had walnuts which my friend is allergic to so she could only enjoy one. (So much for the special.) It would have been nice if our waitress or menu warned us about the walnuts due to nut allergies.
It took 30 minutes to get my first cup of coffee to my table and well over an hour for eggs and toast.
It was our second visit. Love the secret garden, but it was raining and the umbrellas didn’t really hold the rain back guise enough. Drink more wine and it’s good! Food is okay for dinner. Love this place for coffee, biscuits and pastry. It’s not to be missed, but all day menu is just okay.
Lovely servers. Special place
Okay place for Brunch on Saturday. Biscuits and Muffens are great. Main courses are also good. Servers were pretty pressed, but attentive. We would go back.
I don’t have any negative thing to say about Shoe’s Cup & Cork. The food was wonderful as well as the service and I loved the fact that this place is dog-friendly. It’s a wonderful place to meet up with friends
We enjoyed eating outside on the shady patio even though it was a hot day.
We came into Leesburg for a lacrosse tournament and could have been the reservation from hell. We changed party sizes multiple times on the day of, showed up at different times, and asked (in advance) for separate checks. The team at Shoe's handled all with a smile and made it easy for us. They served us great food in a wonderful atmosphere with impeccable and friendly service. A+ to you, Shoe's! Hope we come back next year!
Delicious food, cute atmosphere
When I called to make the reservation, nobody bothered to mention that the refrigerator was broken & there was no beer available. They also stuck my party of 10 people upstairs where there was no air conditioning, again, without apology or acknowledgment that it was going to be hot up there. The poor server did his best to accommodate us, but it seemed he was stretched thin between a station OUTSIDE & then us INSIDE on the SECOND floor. We ordered some apps then left. No manager even bothered to apologize for any of it, even though we expressed our disappointment to the server. Food was decent, however.
Awesome - a little slow on the order
This was our second brunch at Shoe’s, and may have been our last. Service was horrible - it took almost an hour to get our food after ordering, and had to basically beg for refills on coffee and water. When the food did come out, it was lukewarm at best. We didn’t want to send it back because who knows how long it would have taken to get new dishes! The waitress we had for most of the meal just seemed bored and uninterested in what she was doing. There was no real “service” - she just reacted to requests. We were also disappointed to see that it was a limited menu for Father’s Day. Nowhere when we made the reservation did it say that the normal full menu would not be offered. While we’d heard nothing but great things from others about Shoe’s, we certainly won’t be rushing back.
I have been to Shoe’s Cup & Cork numerous times so I am sorry about this review. I keep going back because I really enjoy the food and especially the ambiance. Today was the exception as far as the food was concerned.
The waitress informed us that the kitchen was backed up and offered us an oatmeal cookie while we waited. When the food finally arrived my chicken panini seemed thrown together on a plate and the taste was not up to par. I will probably go back, because my past experiences were wonderful, but I know I have a lot of other choices where even though the ambiance is wonderful, I won’t have to wait an unusual amount of time for a mediocre meal.
Very very friendly and attentive service.
Very fun place in a old shoe repair place so it is quirky and cute.
Birthday. Friendly staff. Perfect setting. Accommodating for gf/df diet. Great evening.
The garden in the back is very relaxing and a nice place to hang out with a group. Food was good, very friendly service, and they were very welcoming to my dog.
This restaurant is quirky and fun, good brunch options.
Great food, good service, server very helpful in suggesting things to try based on what we said we wanted. Will definitely return.
Great brunch with the family. Wish the kids menu had more options (like pancakes or something) but overall loved the food and sitting in the patio.
Mothers day reservation was a nighmare. They called an cancelled because the computer screwed up. After getting the manager on the phone, the helped me out albeit putting and the entire family at a lawn table and rocking lawn chairs with young kids. This made for an interesting meal and was rather stressful. Food was ok, but not if you are on a paleo or keto diet as everything had bread or potatoes involved.
Great food and service for Mother Day brunch. The accommodated our large party outside and were very friendly. Family friendly as well.
Always a great time and great food at Shoe’s!
Good food. Asked for egg whites and told kitchen was too busy. There were a lot of empty seats. Food was great though. Server was decent.
We came for Mother's Day brunch and it started off a little rocky. We had one of the first reservations of the day and they seemed disorganized and unfriendly (different than what I'm accustomed to at this restaurant). Fortunately, our server was very attentive and made-up for the rocky start. Our food was decent but I didn't feel that it was as good as prior meals here. I definitely will come back to Shoe's, but I'm not sure that I'll be back for a special occasion meal.
I found the menu limited and it only had 4 entrees for dinner. It's better suited for a pub-style lunch and not a nice dinner out. There are also limited options if you have gluten or dairy allergies. Although they did have 1 GF tart for dessert.
Inside can be loud, the secret garden is quaint but awfully hot in humid weather.
Service was nice and quick.
Great food for a great price. Drinks were also reasonable. We sat upstairs and the decor is to DIE for! We had a blast. Only thing was, our server could have cared less that we were there. She wanted to be anywhere but there. Had she been more warm and given better service it would have been a five star visit.
This is our third visit for weekend Brunch. Unfortunately, this time was rather disappointing. My wife ordered the Eggs Florentine and I ordered Eggs Benedict. The eggs were overcooked on both orders. Out poached eggs resembled near "hard boiled" eggs. The potatoes were overcooked and seemed old as well. One can only keep potatoes browned for so long before they darken.
I am sure we will go again since our two previous visits were so great we recommended this place to several people.
Sat outside in the patio. Very nice.
Great place that is dog friendly.
We sat outside in the garden by the Bocce Ball Court. It was very nice. Our waitress was very good but unfortunately for her she had a lot of tables, one which included a party of nine. Our food took a long time to come out and when mine did it had a hair on the avocado, that is the reason I rated the food a little lower. I would still recommend this place but maybe when it isn't so busy.
We had such a great time, I wish I could remember our server's name because she was simply wonderful! The biscuits and gravy were just as good as I remembered them, the others enjoied their omlettes, and the caprese salad was so yummy! We will definitely be back!
Enjoyed our brunch very much. The only criticism is that the menu is limited and one of our party doesn’t like eggs leaving him with very limited options. Need to add some waffles or pancakes.
Food order was wrong. Took forever to get food.
Extremely rude! Service was very slow - took at least 45 minutes to get our food. Other folks were served before us who were seated after us. We were chatting after paying for the meal and the manager told us they needed the table. Really annoying given how long we waited to be served. We obliged but noted that a party at the same size table was still sitting there even though they had arrived well before us. We pointed this out to the manger and she was unapologetic.
It was a nice setting and the food was very good though there was a wait for the food to arrive. They do not have a liquor license. So brunch did not have Bloody Mary drinks except one made with beer.
I REALLY wanted to like this place as soon as I walked in the Secret Garden, it was a hidden gem! However, after being greeted by a terrible unhappy waitress who was so miserable to be there, it completely ruined our Easter Brunch experience. We switched our waitress and things were going good... until we got our bill and the gratuity at 30% was included for a party of 4 and my toddler. When I asked our waiter about it , letting him know I didn’t see it indicated in the menu that a party of 4 or more the gratuity in included. His response was “ it’s on holidays like today, Easter, and it’s for parties of 4 with a kid”. I wasn’t born yesterday and have been dining enough to know this was done on purpose... when I walked to speak to a manager he said the manager was busy? When I asked for the business card of the manager , a woman who said she was the manager finally came out, without apologizing, said she will let the manager know my concerns. Too bad small business who can be even greater hire staff who don’t care and lose customers.
Great brunch and really cool atmosphere! One of my favorite brunch spots before heading to the wineries.
