The food is great, especially the honey toast. The service is also great. However, the food took a while to get out due to large party. The ambience was nice, but noisy. Because we were a larger party, we sat on a larger table which made it hard to have a conversation with there.

Food was decent, menu was small but the staff was very nice and timely. location is a bit of a hassle to get to, as its nestled on a busy street and is very easy to miss. I can't say I will be back, but that it is only due to the food and nothing about the staff. Very nice people.

First time here since they moved. Much smaller than where they were. Atmosphere is meh. We were seated in a booth. Upholstery needs to be replaced. I ordered the Tofu salad and it was delicious as it always is. We ordered our salads and unagi rice and appetizer (lobster dynamite) at the same time. Salads came right away, then the unagi rice. We were COMPLETELY done with our meal and waiting and the lobster dynamite (appetizer) still was not served. It finally came. At the end and then some of our meal.

Went for birthday dinner, left super disappointed. This place has been my go to birthday dinner for years. Our main waiter had very little knowledge of the menu. I had to reassure him it was there and then he finally found it and was like “oooh” I mean yes I’ve been come to your restaurant since 2012, and I know the menu pretty well, but the staff should be up to date on what is on it. After the waiter forgot to bring the last roll and entered it late and took 20 extra mins. On top of it they forgot to bring the supreme birthday dessert that your wonderful place offers which I requested at the end of the meal. Anyway we just wanted to leave at that point. It was sad because my mom has been looking forward to coming back here last year. She flew out and surprised me. Anyway hope that waiter did better the rest of their shift. Smh

The menu is diverse and carried some unique items. We ordered the beef carpaccio, spicy tuna crispy rice, garlic truffle edamame and the honey toast. All were excellent! The toast was lightly toasted and drizzled with honey and topped with ice cream. A great finish to the evening. The atmosphere was casual and the music was unnecessarily loud. Our server was knowledgeable and professional.

Pretty good given the conditions. We made a late night reservation. Around 8:30pm as the posted close time was 10pm. We were seated promptly after check in and was offered parking validation +1 ⭐️ We requested some recommendations and our server was accommodating and very friendly. +1⭐️ He informed us that the restaurant closed at 9pm so would need to submit all good orders 15min prior closing for the kitchen to work on. We submitted our order before then. Apparently the posted time was wrong 🚫 Food was very delicious and the sake the server recommended was amazing. ⭐️ Ambiance and restaurant vibe is pretty great considering we were the only ones along with another table of 4. We were not rushed out from the restaurant and left around 9:10pm. +1 ⭐️ It would’ve been a higher rating if the posted close times were correct and maybe the late reservations were not allowed to avoid feelin rushed.

Shokudo was wonderful as ever. Food quality and service was a solid 5 star for a Valentine’s dinner. Lauren, our server, was attentive, friendly and fast. We dine here about 3 or 4 times a year and never disappointed. First time I tried the Spicy Ahi Crispy Rice. It was different, a surprise, and ono! Just a suggestion. I got this dish when it was hot and it is best served and eaten like this. After the crispy rice was at room temperature, the sushi was quite not the same. Eat this the moment it hits your table!

Free parking was definitely a perk, but that was probably the best part. The food was good, but nothing that makes you go “WOW” (the tofu salad was the best item). The service was also a bit of a bummer. They weren’t that busy and our waiter hardly checked on us. One of the food runners was way more attentive to our table and hope majority of the tip we left goes to him. The honey toast was also a bit of a let down. Wasn’t as great as I remembered. Probably wouldn’t go back.
