Shore Grill and Grotto
The noise was a bit too much couldnt have a decent conversation. But everything else was good.
Food was fantastic and the ambiance was great! our server was super nice and accommodating. I did find the service a bit slow, but it was easy to overlook given the staff was extremely sweet. Live music was lovely!
Well for starters they served us late and had us at a table with no server for about near 15 min. The manager it seem didnt bother to have us get the correct menu even though it was their fault for the late delay . The best thing was the the salmon i had and shrimp. Quality was pretty poor but the taste wasnt pretty average but solid.
Chose Shore cause of the menu but my wife and I were disappointed in our experience here. Patio was nice but we were not impressed with the inattentive service. Food was mediocre at best. "Wood fire" pizza tasted like it was cooked in a toaster oven, my wife had the salmon that looked like it was cooked in the mircowave. Would not recommend.
Experience was Good but since I have a gluten allergy, options were too limited. However I went there with a couple of friends and had a good time.
Chose this restaurant- One of the few dog friendly restaurants in Port Credit and likely the whole of Mississauga. Beautiful day for patio dining.
The food was good. Calamari was cooked well, my smoked salmon and salad were both fresh.
Street noise on a Saturday was loud but expected.
Waitress was attentive, friendly and brought fresh water for our dog.
Great service by Angelica. We had a wonderful time and the food was of course excellent!
Great food! Great service! Great atmosphere! Highly recommend it! Will definitely come back soon.
I called and made a reservation with the restaurant a few days in advance. I made it clear to whom I was speaking with that it was my father's 80th Birthday and we especially wanted oysters. We live in Brampton and it's very challenging to find good quality oyster house in our area. I was told the restaurant only serves oysters Fridays/Saturday/Sundays as they receive an oyster shipment every Thursday. Luckily my father's birthday dinner was on Friday, August 9. I made sure that we would have oysters available to us for our dinner event. The hostess/manager ( I believe she said her name was Maureen) told me there wouldn't be a problem.
We got to the restaurant on time and were seated in a booth. When we asked our server Ethan about ordering oysters he said he couldn't serve them. I explained the situation to him and ask him to doublecheck. He did so and came back saying the kitchen gave him a flat "NO". This made my family and I feel very disappointed, almost tense. We made special plans to take my father out for oysters on his 80th Birthday all the way from Brampton. Since it was 9:00 we decided to stay and make the best of it. But Nobody made an effort explain why or just to better our experience. We were just shut down. Ethan did bring out A chocolate tort with a candle in it after we ate, but that is a typical gesture for almost all restaurants.
Being an artist, Ive had many kitchen/serving/bartending jobs. I understand weekends are crazy busy but Somebody has made a mistake along the communication lines. I was told that an item would be available and when I got to the restaurant it was not. If we had known there would be no oysters, we never would've gone to this restaurant. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE! Staff should have gone out of their way to take care of us or at least give us an invite to come in another day for oysters... if they ever have them! Not a pleasant experience.
One of our favourite spots in Pt. Credit. Maureen and her entire staff quickly make you feel at home here, food is amazing and priced very reasonably.
Anthony and Michelle
It was bad, we waited over 50 mins for our meals, our appetizer came after our meal. The waiter really didn't know what was up and barely checked in. The food meh..it wasn't super amazing.
The only nice thing was after my complaint the appetizer was taken off the bill.
I definitely recommend this place. The place has great ambiance especially with the live musician. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to ensure we had a great dining experience. My wife and I loved their menu and wide selection of dishes. She had the filet mignon while I had the sweet and spicy chicken and shrimp. To top it all, we had a very personalized dessert to celebrate my wife's special occasion!
The service and ambience was great but food was adequate. The chicken Fajitas was not good as the chicken pieces were hard and some rubbery and my husbands oven baked pasta tasted reheated. The steaks were good. I have eaten there before and have had a great meal but this last time was a little disappointing. I will eat there again and give it another chance hoping that was just an off night.
Service was great food was good will go back again
The food was good, the portion sizes are big and the prices are reasonable. Our server was amazing and had a great sense of humour. I liked that there was a band in the pub side of the restaurant but that you could still carry a conversation in the dining room. I would definitely go back!!
Met up with friends. All the meals were excellent and the waitress was great.
Food okay but seafood not fresh
Very plain interior
Not much atmosphere
Fantastic service! Delicious food! Great atmosphere.... Even on a Friday night we had absolutely no problems and enjoyed our experience so much! Was even impressed with our bill cost, lower than expected for what we had, made our evening that much more special! Thank you!
The food was very bland tasting and was way over priced. Water glasses were difficult to get refilled as the servers seemed too busy to notice. We asked if we could have some creme brule to take home...when we arrived home with it, it had become a soft mess in the box that it was put in.
Stuffed sole was great, chicken penne mediocre. On a sunny Sunday evening service seemed focused on patio rather than diners indoors. When you could get their attention servers were great.
Food was fair quality but nothing impressive. Mostly reasonably priced except for the appetizers. They had a nice patio and the dining room had an open view of the street. They also had a live band playing in their bar area which was nice.
Everything was good my only complaint was the noise levels. We were a group of 8 and it was impossible to talk to anyone other than the one beside or across from you
Very good and large portions. Nice drinks menu. Live music most nights.
Well my husband and i frequent this restaurabt regularly I've notice the food is not as good as it used to be. On top of that we brought friends for dinner and my friend ordered chicken marsala. It wasn't chicken marsala instead a garlic cream sauce was on top of it. Needless to say my friend was very disappointed and returned the dish. Our waiter was very quick to recover and offered another dish to which my friend chose the grilled calamari. Which he loved. I also had another issue the last time I ate there with a group of friends. I ordered the stuffed sole with shrimp and crab. The shrimp were salad size shrimp and the crab tasted like it came out of a can. My meal with my friends this time wasn't that great either. Seafood pasta with pesto white wine. It was too oily, no flavour and the fish was overcooked. I'm sorry to say these last 2 experiences were disappointing. I think the chef needs to be trained and taught how to prepare fish. The owner should be more involved with the cooking. As a restaurant owner myself I always have my input on all my dishes that are being served. Not sure if we will go for a meal. Will return for drinks and live music.
We went to hear the fantastic Phil & John play their classic rock as this is always a treat, and to our delight, the Shore Pizza was also a treat! Delicious! Our waitress was pleasant and efficient! I only wish there were more regular height tables to sit and dine at while you listen to music. We were lucky to have been given a spot in the room where the musicians play, whereas most of the dining tables are in a separate room where you don't see the band.
This is our family’s favourite restaurant so it made sense to go on mothers day. It wasn’t very busy (our server had 1 other table of three and we had a table of two) but our server wasn’t attentive at all. I was also disappointed that she didn’t ask how our meals were and that the menu didn’t list all of the ingredients in our dishes. At the end of our meal she rushed us out of the restaurant and didn’t thank us after we tipped her. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this for a special occasion after my last experience.
We had a great experience on Mother’s Day! The seafood linguine was great. The chicken pineapple shrimp rice dish and fajitas were good too! Could have a slightly more elaborate wine list by the glass, so we had some classic cocktails. We had a great meal and time!
The menu was not particularly enticing. The food tasted good enough, but was not spectacular. We found hair in the salad and on the table cloth and the resolution from the staff was to remove the salad and the table cloth... I had planned on eating the salad until the hair was discovered. There was not other effort made to "make it right", no offer, no complementary dish, no replacement, nothing.
While I made a reservation through open table, the table selected for me was probably the worst in the restaurant, sandwiched between a large group and a nice table by the window. I had to request we move to the window seat when it came available, which was done without hassle.
Just found the food to be nothing special ...although everything was very hot when served. Way too loud ...some noisy tables so the sound carried. They might want to look into sound absorption materials.
We all ordered salad and pizza. The salad was delicious and the pizza was some of the best we have ever eaten! The service was excellent.
My friend and I were a little uncomfortable upon entering, as the front door opens right into the bar, which was full of people, mostly male, who were facing the front door! It was like walking into a stranger's living room uninvited. This was a Thursday afternoon at 4:30.
Luckily, we were led to the dining room, where we felt comfortable, and where we ate our delicious meal.
It was our anniversary and we wanted a nice meal. Food was great, will be back again!!
Great place...food, selection, quality...all above average...what set's it apart though is that they've got an adjoining bar that hosts live music 7 nights a week!
Been to this restaurant a few times for dinner with my husband and found the food and service was very good. However, this was my first time having lunch (Saturday 12:30) and was very disappointed. I took my sister, who is a huge foodie, because I knew she would be pleased with the food. I was embarrassed with the experience.
First there was only 1 other couple in the dinning room area so the woman working in the bar was our server. She was pleasant but service was very slow since she had bar customers to serve. We ordered wine, but it never showed up so we decided to pass on it. The spinach salads were fresh. My sister ordered the clam chowder which was the soup of the day and crab cakes after telling her how good the seafood was at past dinners. She said the soup was mostly broth with very little "good stuff" . Crab cakes were bland and ice cold. I ordered chicken curry which was the day's special. It had lots of chicken but was extremely bland and also cold. No dessert was offered.
Overall, will never go there for lunch again and will now be cautious about ever going back for dinner in the future.
Good quantity of the food for the price.
Nice restaurant, a little slow but good food. Would come back for sure. Bar area a little noisy.
Had heard good things about Shore
Maybe lunch just isn’t their strong suit
noise was actually good last week. We went for the first time for the comedy show and dinner - the noise was quite high. Glad I gave it another try. Would come back on quiet nights but not on weekends unless noise can be dealt with ie better flooring, acoustic panels.
The server we had on the 6th was FABULOUS. The comedy dinner show nite was too busy for the staff to manage - again glad I came back on a quiet nite and probably will come back quieter nites
We enjoy this restaurant. The food is always great and good value for your money. Enjoy the live entertainment. A little crowded on the weekend. Think they should take space from the restaurant side and increase the bar area to allow customers to enjoy the live music. The bar lounge area is always busier so it would make sense to increase the space.
Catfish was dry , coconut shrimp was hard as a rock and the food was overall bland.
