    We live in 100m distance so walking and access was easy! The atmosphere and service was great. I got lamb tacos and my wife the steak ! Both were perfect. The second order of the lamb tacos were not at the level of first so I advise to order all at once to ensure consistent quality. The fries were fresh cut which was a nice surprise. All in all will go back in the future.

    I'm sad to be writing this review, because I've been saying SD is my favorite restaurant for a long time.I've been there quite a few times before the pandemic and mostly around lunchtime. Had dinner there last night and was utterly disappointed with the food especially for what they charge, it was very dry and basic (had the black garlic honey roasted 1/2 chicken) and some rice. We had to ask for extra cutlery, then some soy sauce that never arrived. Not sure if this was a one time flop or the quality has gone down post-pandemic, but now I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon or recommending it to anyone.

    Nice place a little hidden in the alley. Had a great time there and can only say good things. Reservation was extremely easy with opentable, staff was friendly, food was good and I really enjoy that pretty much everything is shareable small plates. Got to enjoy 3-4 different items on the menu for the 2 of us. Price was also good for what we got. I really recommend this place and I will definitely be going back.

    Excellent meal! I highly recommend the green papaya salad. Do not sleep on this dish. Other standouts include the Vietnamese pancake, popcorn Thai chicken and braised beef.

    I have been here three times before and this visit didn't meet my expectations or previous experiences. Service was slower than usual, there was a bug in the plate on the table, which we had to ask twice to have replaced with a clean dish, the table had not been properly cleaned (there was a small red wine spill and splatter from a previously enjoyed meal) at one of the place settings, and crumbs at another. The food, as always, was really really good. Just a bad day on the the other things, I suspect.

    We were celebrating a friend's birthday and I enquired if I could order a cake. Since cake is not on their menu, they suggested that I bring a cake and that they would be pleased to serve it. That is excellent service. Thank you

    The staff at the Sidedoor were very courteous and professional. The food was delicious; we tried the sashimi tuna and the soft shell crab. The trio of donuts completed a lovely lunch.

    This was the tastiest food we’ve had in recent memory. We had the soft shell crab, the beef lettuce wraps and the coconut fritters. The curry with the coconut fritters had the most beautiful aroma and flavours. We sad in the outdoor area which had a lovely ambience.

    We were seated outside and the ambiance was very nice. However, we were obviously forgotten about. Our appetizers took over an hour to come out. When our mains were eventually served, only half the table got their meals. The rest of the table waited 20 mins for their plates and by the time everyone had their food it was cold. When we brought up these issues to the server we got excuses about how it was busy inside. The food was fine but overpriced. We won’t be coming back.

    The food was good, but overpriced and definitely lacking in some thought. the coconut fritter dish was too sweet, and the avocado and cucumber salad was lacking in balance. probably would not return

    Mains were butter poached shrimp and grilled octopus. The shrimp had a wonderful green panaeng curry sauce. There were vegetables in the sauce as well. The octopus had a marinade coating which was wonderful grilled. The sides were really tasty and matched the octopus perfectly. Wine was the Tuli Chardonnay. Nice fruit and minerality with just a touch of oak. The portions are very healthy. I would recommend going family-style sharing some mains and adding sides. The curry sauce would have been great over rice. Although it was very quiet the service was middling.

    Overpriced items, including alcohol. No welcome or greetings from hostess. No knife on table. Uniforms of employees are inconsistent with with restaurant ambiance. Table needs to be refurbished or sanded down (very used up and marked. No apron on table). Turn off...too many smokers by the window where we were seated. No starch (offered) with main course. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. No manager could be found anywhere.

    Excellent dîner mais malheureusement dans une ambiance glaciale en effet la climatisation qui sortait au pied de notre table était très froide nous avons gardé pulls et blouson pour mon mari c est donc dommage de ne pas être détendus pour apprécier cette bonne table! Aucune solution n.a été apportée : impossible de modifier la température et pas de proposition d.une autre table. C est dommage mais je vous le conseille tout de même mais chaudement vêtu!!!

    I took my girlfriend out for dinner on her birthday. Our server was AMAZING. So personable and helpful and knowledgeable. The food was delivered so fast and it was delicious. A++. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
