The pasta dishes are excellent (both the duck ragout pasta and the angry pasta). Steaks are awesome as is the sole dish. I really like the food here and on Tuesday and Wednesday they have a great deal for a meal, an appetizer and a bottle of wine. I like the atmosphere and service is great.

We all had the meatloaf with balsamic reduction, grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes, delicious! The service was friendly, efficient and helpful. Creme Brulee and Tiramisu, spot on. A charming bistro!

I frequently have lunch there and have even had dinner there. It is a very small place with small outdoor seating. They do have outdoor heaters if it is too cool. The food is always good but they have a limited menu. The owner is usually around and they take good care of everybody.

It was Saturday night, and I needed a reservation before a hockey game. We were the first people to arrive in restaurant for a 5:00 pm reservation. We were warmly greeted and given a good suggestion on wine. First ordered their signature crab cake on avocado -- flavors were bland and while the presentation was nice, not really a good value considering the taste. Hubs ordered lentil soup; again, nothing special. I ordered a roasted beet salad with goat cheese. Seems like the goat cheese and beet 'layers' were prepared a day or more earlier and just did not seem that fresh, again, considering the price. We split the special -- a sea bass with green sauce. Absolutely unspectacular. Again, not bad, but with so many choices, this was not it, though it was nice that they split the portion for us. When we got the bill there was some confusion with the passport dining card, but it seems that most places that take the card have confusion and all process it differently. Service was pleasant and attentive. Next time in Willow Glen, I'll go back to The Table or try Black Sheep.

Siena is a great spot for dinner. The food is outstanding and very reasonably priced. Everything is very fresh and prepared beautifully. I have been here many times and had anyone leave disappointed, but they do run out of the specials, because, well they are special. Also, the winelist is a downright bargain compared to the markup usually seen at other places. If you are in Willow Glen and can make the effort to find the entrance (off the back parking lot NOT the main street) its totally worth it.

We went on Valentines day and it was a great time. The food was great and the service excellent. We bought our own wine and since we had a glass of their wine, they didn't charge the corking fee. The manager or owner chatted with us for a while and made us real welcome.

Siena Bistro is a very nice, small place with a good outdoor space for dining when the weather permits. They have a rather small menu, but the food is very good. You can get a meal for two with two appetizers and two entrees with a bottle of wine for about $61.00, so that is really a nice bonus. Particuarly when the food is as good as theirs. I have been there very often and can say that I recommend it.

The food and wine selection was good and the short rib that I ordered was delicious. Our server offered adequate and sometimes poor service- not attentive, appeared to be in a bad mood, one word answers to questions about the food. Our bus boy (man) however was smiling, friendly, prompt and provided service without having to ask for anything. He was a good server. I like the neighborhood restaurant vibe and would probably return.

Our family has enjoyed Siena Bistro for many years. This past weekend, my husband and I decided on a quiet dinner to catch up. Siena was busy, but not too loud. Our server was attentive and very helpful, but not overbearing. There was a large group that arrived ahead of us, so she let us know there might be a delay in our food, but it was not a bad wait at all. The food was, as always, delicious. I had the salmon and my husband had the scalone steak. The asparagus that accompanied both dishes was grilled perfectly and fit nicely with the seafood dishes. We will be returning just as soon as we can!

My wife and I walked here for dinner to relax after a difficult week. It had been awhile since we ate at Siena, and we were delighted to be back. We started with the kale and brussel sprout salad, which we split. The half-size portion was a perfect starter. The dressing on the salad was exquisite. For an entree my wife chose the Angry Pasta, and I selected the Beef Wellington special. The pasta was hot as advertised, although they will vary the amount of thump on request. The Beef Wellington was very good, with a red wine reduction and asparagus spears on the side.

Siena is a great, easy-going neighborhood bistro with top quality food and friendly wait-staff. The owner-chef takes time to chat amiably with customers. The stools at the bar make it easy to drop in to eat as a couple or a single. Siena is where we go to find delicious and interesting dishes.

Went here for my husband's birthday. I had only mentioned the special occasion on OpenTable when I made the reservation. Didn't mention it when we checked in with the host. But they brought out one of the best birthday surprise I've experienced! ...and it wasn't food! Don't worry, totally a family-friendly surprise, but very unique and fun. No singing involved either. I won't give away the surprise, but it's definitely worth it to go for your birthday...unless you're not a fan of fire. :)

Always enjoy going to this restaurant either for lunch or dinner. The owner is working hard and interacting with the customers in a warm and social manner. The food is very good, not overpriced and there are always some very nice specials to offer. The outdoor patio is romantic and enjoyable during the warm season or even in the Fall and Winter due to the effective heaters in the patio. Will come back on a regular basis.

We went with friends and had our usual great time. The "Angry Pasta" was especially good. A long time server, Montana, treated us royally. There was a party for a lady who turned 101 and the whole restaurant serenaded her. The owner/chef always comes around to check on things. It is a wonderful local spot.

I found Siena Bistro via Yelp and met my friend over dinner last weekend. That was our first time there and based on the experience, we will definitely be back and will recommend this restaurant to our friends. We had red and white wine, crab cake for appetizer and I had the Sole Almandine which was suggested by the waiter. That was one of the best dishes I have had in a very long time. The fish was so fresh and it melt in my mouth. The server was very friendly and fun! And the chef David was so sweet, funny, and loveable! We had a great time chatting with him... We will be back soon!

The perfect place to celebrate- quiet, relaxed, magical ambiance (inside and out). The service is outstanding, the food is AMAZING, and David and his staff created the best dining experience ever. We celebrated my husband's birthday there, and our guests were blown away by how wonderful the food, the staff and the place itself was! Thank you to all the staff there, and we loved the Sole Almandine and the Angry Pasta. Delicious!

The food is perfect, and the service even better. Came here with my wife for our 25th wedding anniversary. We were greeted by the owner/chef, and we immediately hit it off with our waiter. The food was perfection, the pace of the evening was right on point (two hours from before dinner drink to getting the check). Just lovely. We can't wait to come back.

Love that it is off the main drag of Willow Glen so it is a neighborhood gem (as their website boasts). Great food, nice people, enjoyable outdoor dining if preferred and all around great place. My friends were foodies so I was a little nervous and they were impressed! Would definitely return and recommend to others!

What a delightful restaurant. Tucked away in Willow Glen, this gem served up some very delicious food. The restaurant was intimate and inviting. Service was outstanding. The menu was varied and pleased everyone in our party of six. We'll definitely be heading back soon.

There were seven of us for my birthday. Since the chef is very accessible, it's easy to speak with him regarding any allergy concerns and they're able to modify food easily. They had plenty of gluten-free options for my 11-year-old granddaughter. All the food was great! The Angry Pasta was the favorite of the 2 who ordered that, as was the almond trout. The exception was the mahi mahi which 2 of our group ordered. The mango salsa was great, but the mahi mahi lacked any real flavor according to both of them. Desserts we selected were great as well and our server was also very friendly and attentive.

The menu is in crying need of an update.* It's been the same for years. Even the special of the day seems always the same (crab sandwich). At least there could be more variety in the daily special. Pay attention to the weather. On broiling days, consider a cold soup--so easy to make. The server staff is always wonderful, especially Jose. *Start from scratch and rebuild.

TRIED THEIR BEET SALAD FOR A STARTER. NEVER EXPERIENCED A SALAD AS DELICIOUS AS THIS. ALSO HAD THE RACK OF LAMB. JUICY, TENDER AND FLAVORED JUST RIGHT.
