For over 20 years Siena has been Austin’s premier destination for authentic Tuscan cuisine. Locally owned and operated Siena's owners wanted to share their love of Tuscany with Austin diners. Utilizing the talents of long time veteran of the Austin food scene, Chef Harvey Harris, Siena's goal is to transport the dinner from the hills of North Austin to the rolling hills of Toscana. Chef Harvey received his Master's Chef in Italian cuisine while attending culinary school in Piedmonte Italy, but his heart is in Tuscany where he lived and worked. All food at Siena is prepared to order, pasta is made fresh daily as well as all stocks and sauces. Our food is complemented by an award-wining wine cellar and served in rustic, elegant surroundings of thick stone walls and tall wood-beamed ceilings. We had a wonderful meal in an authentic Italian restaurant. We started at 5 and it was very quiet, but did get noisier as 7 approached. I would go earlier again, and often! Loved it!!

This was a risk since it was our first visit and also a birthday celebration for our DIL, son, and granddaughters. The calamari was a hit with the kids and surprisingly also with the adults. The figs were excellent but slightly over-priced. The truffle fries were ok. My son and I both ordered the pork chop, my wife ordered the wood roasted chicken breast, the granddaughters both ordered pasta dishes, and our daughter-in-law went with the grilled salmon, The food was very good overall. The pork chops were a little dry but the sauce was very good and the side of grilled Brussel sprouts were incredible! The dainty little granddaughters had loaded up on truffle fries and calamari and still almost finished their large pasta dishes. My wife liked her dish but didn't like the kale. Our daughter-in-law seemed to like her salmon and the sides as well. Finally, what put the meal completely over the top was the service and ambiance. The wait staff were well organized, showed up at the right time, and were both helpful and unobtrusive. And did that all with a great sense of humor. The risk we took turned out to be one of the best dinner celebrations we've had!

Our reservation was at 6:15 on a Saturday which is fairly early. We decided on one of the specials which was a seafood dish and selected a bottle of white wine to match. The wine was served and shortly after that we were advised they were out of the special we ordered. When I asked the waitress how they can run out of the special so early on a Saturday I was told they were serving it all week which seems like a lame excuse. This is the second time within the last 3 visits that they were out of the special. When we visit again I am going assume they won't have the special and stick with the pasta dishes which is what I ended up ordering although the crisp white wine was no longer a good match.

New to the neighborhood and came across this gem. From the hostess who greets you, the amazing wait staff, the much welcomed bread man and food itself…everything was wonderful! The entire menu sounds delicious so I’ll absolutely be back many times to try more! Bolognese was on point, fig goat cheese app and fusilli Della Nonna were all outstanding. And the desserts are all heavenly.

Got there a little early. They would not seat us. Saying the table was not ready. The place was not busy. The service was slow, the food was NOT GOOD. I was charged $6 for adding mushrooms to my meal. There were maybe 4 mushrooms in the dish. The food had no flavor. We struggled to get our drinks refilled. Will not be giving them my $$$ ever again. Did not leave a good tip…. Sorry, Not Sorry!!!

We went to Sienna on a spur of the moment as one of our favorites and had a wonderful dinner and experience. JoJo and Rina made an amazing recommendation on wine and dinner choices. Great place for a quiet dinner. Love the old world feel with lots of architectural details to appreciate. I ordered the braised short rib with gnocchi that was tender and delicious. My husband ordered fish, which he thought was terrific. The salad was a bit uninspired, but the rest was top notch. We'll go again.

Better than usual which is always great. Our waitress was so knowledgeable about the wine even though she was not a sommelier and had a great personality… she was perfect, the food was perfect and our evening was perfect. All of us (2 couples) had a very enjoyable evening !!!

First time dining here. Server was very attentive and informative. Food was mediocre. Wife had bolognese and was decent. I had rack of lamb that was unevenly cooked and not a good piece to begin with. Sent back and brought back out but was really no better. Wild boar bruschetta was the only good experience for us, as is a unique dish. Ambience and location is nice. But not enough to enjoy the dining experience. Sorry, but we’ll not return.

What an amazing, warm, comfortable, and romantic place. From the architecture to the atmosphere, this place makes you feel like you’re in Italy. Incredible food, and amazing staff (George was outstanding). Would highly recommend this restaurant, especially for a special occasion. We will definitely be back!

I haven't eaten here in at least a couple of years. It was fabulous! We sat outside - it was a perfect evening. A bottle of a Montepulciano was recommend and it was lovely. There were four of us and we ordered a few appetizers, and for dinner we all got something different. Everyone loved their choices. Service was great too. Nice to have this lovely non-downtown Italian option.

Nice place, good food. Was a little disappointed the menu I saw on-line, wasn't the same as the one in the restaurant (e.g., no Osso Buco). We enjoy a leisurely dinner, but the food service was even slower than we would have liked.

When we walked in, we were told that men’s sandals weren’t allowed (even though it’s not posted on their website) - not a way to start a good dining experience. There was a disconnect between host/management and service staff - we were celebrating birthdays, which I had mentioned on the reservation and the host confirmed when we checked in but our waitress didn’t know. Certain wait staff were pretentious. Our food was ok - pasta was a bit overcooked (not al dente), fish needed salt, and salads were overdressed. The pannacotta was really good. I guess it’s worth a try if you get better service.

Slow front door staff, as we waited in line far too long behind other guests while hostess entertained a phone order at 5pm. For such a pretentious webpage listing rules, we were still blessed with a screaming kid and a stairwell climbing infant. Food and server was good.
