Skylon Tower Revolving Dining Room
We had a wonderful dinner. The soups were fantastic and my steak and lobster were perfectly cooked. George and Josh provided impeccable service. My only complaint is that the restaurant needs cooler air conditioning. It was rather warm.
Wait staff and MC was amazing. Food was good not great. But all worth it for the view!
Delightful experience! Absolutely stunning view. Food & service was even better than I expected it to be. Definitely impressed! Our young daughter (tween) was mesmerized by the whole experience!
Awesome experience! Jillian and Adam were knowledgeable and fun and just amazing servers! We were celebrating our first time at Niagara Falls and our last trip before bringing our daughter to college. We enjoyed every moment and might just make it our annual tradition !
We are on vacation from the USA and wanted to have the best view of Niagara Falls and with their revolving restaurant, there was no disappointment. Great food, great staff, insanely perfect views. Tables for 2 along the window for ideal seating !
If you are visiting Niagara Falls, a meal at the Skylon Tower is a great idea. The 360 view as the restaurant rotates is beautiful. The menu has a nice selection and the kid’s menu is especially great. The food was well prepared and served with a starch and vegetable. The meal is expensive, but considering the premium view, not unexpected. Each table has two assigned waiters and an unobstructed view.
Stay away from the arcade on the bottom floor.
The views were amazing. Tables were really squeezed tight and wait staff not super attentive. Food was good though.
Go for the views, not the food. Here is why my rating is low and realistic:
-as soon as we sat down at this "fine dining" restaurant, we were rushed to order as the chef was closing the kitchen (it was 3pm and this was the only time offered to us by the restaurant). We hadn't opened the menus when we were asked "ready to order"
-long hair in the napkin serviette as soon as we sat down
-Average plate was over 30 each for barely average food.
-I asked if the chicken breast on the caesar was supposed to be cold, waitress said "kinda". Salad was wet. Chicken was layered/masked with an extra strong garlic. Garlic bread with cheese was ice cold.
-hamburger was dry and OK. Soggy fries.
-kids were served last which was super odd as they only ordered a simple plain noodle plate each.
-diet coke was flat
-told NO WASHROOM and we need to go upstairs to other floor on tower
However, this restaurant is not completely a waste. The views are spectacular and a few people working there were nice (our waitress and hostess). The bread and butter was great.
Advice: If you dont want to serve people at specific times, do not take reservations. Nobody needs to be guilt tripped or rushed by "the chef", a few minutes after being seated. Work on improving the food quality in order to justify very high prices. We paid close to $300 for 4 adults and 2 kids but we wasted lots of food due to the low quality. Try to have your staff act happy. Most of the employees just look unhappy and do not seem approachable.
This is my first review ever but had to say something as my group was unhappy.
Like many revolving venues the view is really the only reason to go. The food was acceptable but not a good value. I had the Seafood chowder (tomato based) and the sea bass. The chowder was good but both the tomato broth and the sauce on the sea bass were over powering. My partner had linguine with a heavy red pepper sauce that was okay at best.
The service was attentive and pleasant. There is no question there is an astounding view of the falls and if you consider the view as part of what you are paying for then it is worth it. Don't expect a stellar food experience.
Vue imprenable sur les chutes. Restaurant de bonne qualité avec un bon service. Excellent moment
The view was the only nice thing. Service was awful and miserable. I was there and asked if I was ready to order before I even got a drink order in then the waitress Rose purposefully ignored us until the table next to us finally told her we wanted to order. I asked for my steak with no pink and got it back twice with a raw middle. Never again will I go to a place just for a view. That was awful.
Great place. Food was great as well as the views!
What makes the Skylon Tower wonderful is the view - spectacular . I had the seafood symphony which was very good, my mother had the tortellini which was gluey and pasty - very unappetizing and very overpriced for the quality of the dish. The waitress was OK, I got the feeling she wanted to scold us for taking so long to order (we were enjoying the view), she did not that was just her vibe. Our lunch ended up costing over $130 and that was without any alcohol or appetizers (we did have one desert and coffee).
Food was very slow coming and overcooked when it arrived.
Good view but you are better off just going to observation tower. Food was not great, super expensive and reminds you of a smelly place your grandparents might take you because they thought it was good 40 years ago. Lots of other places for good views of the Falls like the parks or grabbing dinner or a drink at one of the other restaurants. So overall I would say the price, food and poor server choices of wine recommendations would not warrant going.
The view was amazing since we had a window seat. The food and service was just good but not at the level expected for the price (for example, my wife's chicken breast was very small and had a wing still attached to it and was dry for $43. My seafood pasta only had 3 jumbo shrimps and two scallops for $50). Maybe the buffet would be better value.
They should provide a voucher for the parking when you have a dinner at the dining room.
Amazing food and service in an enchanted setting!
I recommend coming here for the view, the food is good but for this price it is not good enough. and service level it is a disaster for a place like this. the waiter Viany was rude, no service, not smiling, and did not pay attention to us, he even removed his badge when we looked, luckily for the dessert Mr Joshua took the order and it was better.
A memorable experience that I am sure to treasure for years to come. The food was surprisingly good for such a touristy place. A bit pricey, but that's to be expected.
The views were breathtaking. However, the food is way overpriced and the tables are too close to each other.
My husband and I enjoy dining out. Weather we are home or on vacation out of state. We have dined at very high price restaurants to low price.
We don’t mind paying the high prices. However, we do hope to get a good tasting meal. The food was horrible, priced way to high. again the only good thing we found with this restaurant were the beautiful views.
Surprisingly good. Great drinks. Meal was very good. Service excellent. I didn’t expect a tourist trap to be so good!!
Beware that most other eateries in the area really suck.
I do not think worth the price. The atmosphere and service were good but the quality of food did not warrant these prices. Next time I’ll try the buffet even though it doesn’t spin.
Excellent view, revolving restaurant is a good concept. Food very mediocre (overcooked salmon, limited gluten free options).
We had reservations at 9pm, got seated at 10:15pm, waiting at the bar is a nightmare bc it is so oddly shaped and so busy that we could only get 1 drink within an hours time. If you're planning to view the fireworks there, good luck. It was so packed and busy by the time they started, that we couldn't even find a place to see them.
When we were finally seated they crammed in a table the size of a night stand.
For an app we had the Scallops St Jacques which were delightful. My girlfriend had the Prime Rib which was outstanding, I however had the $61 NY Strip which came out raw. I cut it into 3 sections to verify it was still mooing then sent it back. When it returned it was definitely dead and dried out.
The view was phenomenal though, with the falls lit up and Clifton Hill still rocking. So, go for the view, just don't waste your money on the overpriced food.
Loved the view - great! Food choices limited and over priced for the portions. Felt a bit rushed.
Traveling to Canada
We were pleased with the staff and their attentiveness to us during our entire meal. Dino and Erik were exceptional service personnel. We enjoyed the view of Niagara Falls as the dining room revolved around for us to get a great sky view. We enjoyed the food, which was plentiful and delicious. It was a very busy, full night of dinner guests, that did not deter us getting our dinner in a timely manner. This was our 3rd time to Skylon Tower Revolving Dining Room in the past 30 years and we have enjoyed each one of our experiences. We would return again in the future.
My son Birthday
On a beaucoup aimé je recommande cette endroit .Excellent
The smell of cigarette smoke was very strong in the restaurant!! It really ruined an otherwise nice experience!
Little noisy. Great view. Beautiful dinner. Definitely recommend for the food quality and time.
Being able to enjoy a nice dinner watching the sunset, views of the falls, and then the fireworks was definitely worth the it. And a compliment to Tom and Allie our servers they did a great job.
I found two ants crawling on my table... it made me fearful for what was going on in the kitchen. The service was excellent, the food mediocre. Most of it was not worth the price, but I guess you're paying for the view.
Absolutely wonderful! I can’t tell what I enjoyed more... beautiful view or food! :-)))
Nice date night overlooking the falls while eating.
Beautiful views. Perfect atmosphere, spectacular staff
The food is poor, they must know that. You are 100% paying for the location, ambiance and revolving restaurant. If you are looking for a good meal, comparatively, this is extremely over-priced. If you only want to eat while you take in amazing views, and don’t mind the price, it’s perfect.
