Skylon Tower Revolving Dining Room
Lunch: Daily: 11:30AM - 2:30PM
Dinner: Daily: 4:30PM - 10:00PM
The view was great but the service was slow, the drinks weren't very good (watered down or just made incorrectly), and the food was only OK (especially for the price).
Service was rushed; felt hurried from ordering to picking up plates to not offering drink refills (another beer/cocktail). Food was good.
Best place to Niagra falls
The seating is very crammed for couples to get more people in. But the food was very, very good, the waiters were nice enough and pleasant and the the scenery was great.
The restaurant was fantastic. The food was very delicious. My husband & I were there celebrating our 50th
Anniversary. The view of the Falls & the sunset was gorgeous. Thank You for a wonderful evening.
We had a beautiful view, table and a very nice meal. It is expensive, however, worthwhile. We were attended by 3 wait staff. We had to remind one that we had a birthday... got a wonderful chocolate mousse cake slice with a candle for a wish!
We ate lunch at the Skylon Tower on a Tuesday morning. We were able to reserve an 11:30am slot through Open Table, whereas, the first available reservation using the Skylon's website only showed availability for 12pm. Luckily, we were the first persons seated, followed by a bus group of tourists and then the restaurant quickly filled up.
The ride up on the elevator was free because we were dining, and I believe that the elevator was specific to the restaurant. It had no waiting line. The elevators going to the observation deck cost $10 and had a line of folks waiting to go up.
After having an incredible meal and martinis, we took the stairs up to the observation deck, which had explanations for what you were viewing, but it was chilly up there. There were lines at the elevator going down, so we walked back up to the restaurant, and went down on their elevator - - no waiting!
A trip to Niagara falls would just not be the same without a meal at the Skylon Tower and the 360 degree view from above.
Very very nice place. Waiter wasn’t too friendly. Food was great.
It was my bday weekend away to Niagara falls, canada . Havent been in over 18 years and we decided when we planned our trip to do the tower for dinner. It was very romantic and the fpod was fantastic. Will definately come back again.
Pros: Romantic atmosphere and great view/first time experience at Niagara Falls. Free elevator ride (very short ride) and free access to observation deck. Great spot to watch illumination and fireworks over the falls. Revolving restaurant is a unique touch.
Cons: Boring menu and felt like a tourist spot.
Verdict: not bad if looking for a cliche date spot in downtown Niagara Falls.
Excellent dining experience. We made a reservation right before sunset and when we finished it was dark. We made 2 revolutions so the first we got a good view of the falls when it was still daylight and the second we got to see everything lit up at night. The food was excellent too! A very unique experience.
You go there for the view. It was spectacular in the revolving dining room. The service was poor, kind of unfriendly wait staff. Food is very expensive and not that good. It is only worth it for the view. The observation deck view also was amazing. Be prepared to spend 200$ plus for dinner for 2.
Overly expensive but great view for sure. Be aware that waiters secretly add tips to 20% without letting you know. Their service is just ok but not superb. I made an adjustment back to 15%, not to mention that we were not a large party but two only. They made this trick, knowing many US customers not familiar with the remote credit card terminal. Parking is $15 so walk if you are nearby.
Very touristy for the view , very busy restaurant, hurried waiters but the view was awesome , food pricey but an awesome experience
We ate here as a family while on vacation. The view can't be beat but don't expect a gourmet meal. The food was simply meh. The children's roast beef was a steal, but we also paid $18 for chicken fingers. And while it was obvious that the plan to is to get diners in and out quickly (staff was constantly rushing around) our food took particularly long and our waiter never once stopped by the table to check on us. Still I'd recommend it for the experience - my kids were thrilled with the idea of a revolving restaurant and it was fun to see the falls go by. My recommendation is do lunch or early dinner to save some money.
Our overall experience was great.
We would definitely have dinner there again.
Had a great time...my sister and brother in law Honeymooned in NF 38 years ago and my wife and I met in NF over 55 years ago. Lovely place for celebrations... many thanks for the desserts...delicious!
The view was fantastic, food was just ok. Service is good!
My husband and I agreed that as part of our family tradition we will treat our grand kids yearly to experience fine dining on top of the Skylon Tower Revolving restaurant. We first started going with our three grand kids and this year we went with our 5 grand kids the youngest is 3 years old. (They have to be at least 3 years old to join us. In two years time there will be seven who will be going...God willing.) This year we did a reservation as we were not able to go to the revolving restaurant last year, instead we went to the buffet on the next floor and our grand children did not enjoy it. Friendly staff, good for family with children and amazing scenic view of the Niagara falls. Our grand kids look forward to going there every year.
Fantastic treat for my partner and I on our anniversary.
The appeal of this restaurant is of course the scenic views. the floor rotates around slowly and takes about one hour for a complete revolution. The views of course are spectacular. Service is outstanding. The food is good but not as great as you would hope for the price. Ask your server about any questions about the area as they are well informed and happy to help with history lessons - which I love.
Our waiter Marko rushed us from the time we were seated! 8:00 reservations we felt like they couldn’t get rid of us quick enough! Weren’t given time to choose a wine with dinner! We wanted to enjoy our drinks but we were pushed to order our starters and dinner at once!! As for drinks, we asked for Hendricks Gin which is to be served with a cucumber not lemon!! He said they had no cucumbers!!! We requested our check be split in 3 separate, completely wrong!! Even got another waiters check!! We asked what the APF fee was??? He said quite rude, to pay for the fireworks...!.we never got to see them!
The noise level was a obnoxiously LOUD!! For a high end dining experience we expect to be able to sit, talk and enjoy a late evening meal. This was not the case at all!
Also the tables were so tightly fitted to each other we couldn’t move in our chairs for hitting the next table of patrons on either side! Forget about thinking about getting up to use the ladies room!
The food was good, nicely presented
I can’t recommend this restaurant for the reasons stated. We were at a family restaurant, we were at a high-end restaurant looking for a lovely evening to enjoy the falls the fireworks and with our friends from England. This was a huge disappointment for all of us.
Food for 2 of the dishes were not cooked to temperature. All 4 dishes were good, not great or outstanding. Moderately overpriced in my opinion but you will not find the same experience anywhere.
Amazing experience. Although the entrees weren’t all that impressive and not worth $50 each, the appetizers and desserts were very good and the experience was so great overall that we are so happy we went and would recommend to anyone visiting Niagara Falls, Canada. The view was beyond amazing (I recommend dining on the later side starting when it is still light out so you get a daytime, sunset, and nighttime view), the revolving dining room was elegant, unique and intriguing (we did take Dramamine beforehand just in case and felt nothing in the elevator ride up nor while dining), and the staff was attentive. We felt like we were on a cruise! You can see the fireworks around 9:30 pm in the summer as well. They also took great photos of us which were not priced ridiculously badly like some others we’ve had taken in touristy spots.
Great place to dine, very friendly and attentive. One thing, a little hectic getting down after the fireworks.
It was so crowded and the tables were extremely close to each other. The waiter was gruff and rushed us. The food was just so-so.
The biggest asset is the view of the falls. Almost worth the money.
The view was fabulous. The food was average. Be careful, no free refills on soda or iced tea.
Food was great. My family really enjoyed every single menu. Busy night. Serving was little bit delayed.
Amazing view with great service! The food and drinks are a bit pricey.
Food need to be upgrade ..tasteless ... service is good .the view is awesome .just need better meal.
Our family of 4 had a wonderful dinner and amazing view. Our server was wonderful, wish I could remember his name.
We had a great time on our anniversary dinner.
Had to queue several times and then wait at the bar for a call to say they had a table for us which was disappointing after booking 2 months ahead, 35 minutes late before we were seated. View was magnificent and one meal was delicious, the other was advertised as Sea Bass but was either Cod or Haddock from the appearance of the large chunky flakes of the fish. The manager was happy to change the meal but when we asked for the bill, we were charged for 3 meals!! This was all very unfortunate as we were celebrating a special occasion. Also we were asked to wait in the bar area until a table was available and then we had to pay for these drinks separately as they refused to add them to the meal bill. It was a rather confused evening which was a pity because it has the potential to be very good. We were rather disappointed with our experience.
Must do when traveling to Toronto. Great special occasion meal.
Ambiance is exceptional however the meal options are limited and over-priced.
Very Nice view but the service was a bit too fast and noisy close to the elevator
great view across the falls and food generally good quality. Really busy, had to wait quite a while for table and very noisy!!! Service ok but staff were a bit hassled! Very pricey! All in all worth the experience once butno patch on restaurant in CN tower.
Restaurant avec un très bon service offrant des plats excellents. Nous étions 4 et personne n’a été déçu. Belle vue sur les chutes et la ville. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir
We had dinner at the Skylon on our honeymoom, 51 years ago and has not been back, so it was a nostalgic occasion for us, plus l was celebrating my 70th birthday. We had a table by the window, which l had requested in my reservation so had unobstructed views, which was fantastic. The service was excellent and the food was good and nicely plated.
If you are looking for quiet and intimate, this is not the place for that dinner.
