Skylon Tower Revolving Dining Room
Lunch: Daily: 11:30AM - 2:30PM
Dinner: Daily: 4:30PM - 10:00PM
We had absolutely great service. Food was excellent. They were very busy but the service was still excellent. Desert was a must. The filet was tender and well prepared. Exceeded my expectations
Great view. Service was rather slow despite it being mid afternoon and not busy overall. Burger was great (and should be for $31) but fries next to it were soggy. Was charged $12 for three diet cokes. Waiter could’ve told us that refills were not free, but didn’t. Will remember that as much as the view, unfortunately.
It was amazing! Prices were a bit expensive but for what you get it is 1000% worth it! Would recommend to anyone!
The wait time was horrible. Food was ok, not deserving of the money
Horrible cocktails! In general, very spencif.
Only worth for the incredible views!
Food was delicious and service was great! Food and drinks were expensive, likely wouldn’t dine here without a gift card or another special occasion to celebrate.
Wonderful dining experience. Must do stop if you go to Niagara Falls -Canadian side. Well worth it!
Exceptional service provide by June and Kathleen. Views amazing. Fixed menu ok. If you expect a five star meal go to a Michelin Star or James Beard award restaurant. Prices were reasonable with a bottle of wine and tip $150.00. We would go again for the service and the views.
The view of the Niagara Falls area is amazing from the dining room. The food was overpriced and not very good. Was disappointed in the quality of the food and taste. Alcoholic drinks were very overpriced and not very good either. Overall- not worth paying the price for the food. Just pay to go to observation deck.
Prime rib was amazing! Escargot was mouth watering! Scallops appetizer was only ok. The cheese could have been browned a little, not just made warm enough to melt. Scallops should have been seared before the other ingredients were added and baked. Calamari and jumbo shrimp appetizers were very good. The view was spectacular, and service was spot on! Darlene and Tom made the experience most enjoyable!! They interacted with us and truly made us feel welcome! Our table of three would definitely go back next time we’re in the area!
Must do if you are visiting the falls and want to have a memorable experience with family or friends. It is not cheap but worth doing it if you have the budget. You can’t beat the 360-degree view.
Windows are very dirty, prices of meals are way too high. Overrated restaurant.
I would describe it as "fake-fancy". I've been to amazing and expensive restaurants, this one is an Olive Garden with a "fancy" wrapper on it. There is apparently a minimum charge of $50 per person... first I've heard of that. Food wasn't amazing, but expensive. Ordered an Old Fashioned ($15) and it was unbelievably bad, mostly water with 5 fruit garnishes. Service was not impressive. View was nice, which I guess is what you're paying ($$) for.
Really enjoyed our meal. View is amazing! Only comment would be on the a/c - was a little warm in the restaurant
I love this place. Great views, great food, great ambiance. The restaurant spins very slowly so you get a chance to see the waterfalls and the city.
In order to go upstairs you need to check in at the counter where they sell tickets. They give you a receipt and you go to an elevator that takes you to the restaurant.
I was really worried about going here after reading all the negative reviews but we loved it. The line to get into the elevator was quick. We thought it would be more crowded because it was the 4th of July but no big crowds. We were seated by the window and we were a party of 4. Great table and the view was spectacular! Our waiter was friendly and very attentive. The French onion soup was delicious and the salads we ordered were fresh and delicious. It was expensive but worth it!
Skylon Tower, Niagara Falls - Ontario has been open since 1965 - and for good reason - it provides the absolute best view of the Niagara Falls area in 360 degrees! There are 3 different sections to the tower - the revolving restaurant, the standing restaurant, and the observation level. We're, of course, reviewing the revolving restaurant - and it was everything we had hoped for. Good seating next to the window, good service, excellent food - prepared and done to our requests, good ambiance and music! If we had anything to say that wasn't "great" would be the temperature in the restaurant. We came on a day, around 7pm, where it was about 95F (35C), sunny and VERY humid outside. So - when we sat down - the sun was blazing in the windows and it was very warm. I was surprised that the air conditioning wasn't adjusted to compensate for this. It wasn't too hot to enjoy dinner - but it was a bit toasty.
This restaurant is a must for those visiting Niagara Falls and would like a nice dinner with a view. I would suggest making reservations at least a month in advance (minimum) - as this place is, of course, in a high tourist area and it fills up fast! Expect a bill of around $200 USA (or $250 Canadian at todays exchange rate) for two. I base that price on the average cost of an appetizer, 2 meals, 2 drinks, and dessert. So - not inexpensive - but was well worth the price overall.
A photographer comes around to take your picture - and if you like it - it cost about $25 USA (or $30 Canadian) at todays exchange rate - and they put it in a souvenier envelope for you!
Hope this review helps you deceide to eat here! Enjoy!
Seeing Niagara Falls from above was absolutely breathtaking. The food, service, and souvenir refillable glass were perfect. This was a must do on our list while at Niagara Falls and was better than we expected.
Food and service were both excellent. Expensive, but worth it for a memorable special event
We came to this restaurant because the reviews said that the view of Niagara Falls was the best to be had. That is true! However, coming from New Orleans, where we know what good food dining is all about, we felt that the dining was average. The food was outrageously overpriced, entrees were from $31 for a burger and fries, to $69 for filet mignon. And again the preparation was average. The service was outstanding This is one of those places that you go only once for the viewing pleasure, just to say that you experienced the falls from the best possible location, just grin and bear it
Great experience! Food was good but high priced. You are paying for the view. As long as you understand this, the dining experience is a great one!
Great view of Niagara Falls!
Great food, friendly staff and most of all the awesome view.
The only thing I didn't like is that you spend so much for lunch or dinner, and they charge $15 for parking! Besides that, it was a cool experience. They should definitely consider letting the people eating at the restaurant have free/discounted parking. I wouldn't go again if we were driving...
View is amazing. Fantastic way to see all the falls from above however make sure to request a window seat. Seating is very cramped and tiny though comparable to air line seats. Food is on pricier side for portion size but overall tastey. Not a fan of the hidden APF fee which is not mandated by city and money doesn't even go to city - please google CBC News about this hidden fee and apparently servers can remove it. If servers were more upfront and knowledgeable about it on last visit instead of sneaking it in tip would of been higher.
The view is why your there and paying a little higher premium. Well worth it try to go 7:30 8:00 so you can still be there at dark and maybe even when the 10 pm fireworks launch over the IS falls.
The view was spectacular, but not the food. Very, very unremarkable dining experience. Probably the worst French onion soup ever! Had practically no onions, nor appealing flavor whatsoever. The cheese wasn’t even great! The entrees, filet mignon and salmon were so-so. Service was passable. I can’t recommend this place. The food just doesn’t allow me to, in good conscience, to subject others to it.
The view and service was great. The food was very good. Especially the Canadian salmon with horseradish. A bigger dish would have been enough for dinner instead of an appetizer. Truly worth coming for by itself. Only disappointment was that regular marti
Food here is uninspired and over priced but the view is magnificent and makes the experience worthwhile. Suggest ordering as frugally as you can and drink in the sight of the falls.
Skylon Tower was terrific. Great food. Fantastic service. Amazing view.
Nice idea for venue. My meal was however way overpriced for what it had to offer.
It was a great meal (surf and turf) and was ample room we had a table of 4 for a couple.
The staff was so kind and attentive. Definitely nice time for my wife and I !!!!
Two friends and I visited the Skylon during our stay in Niagara Falls. We should have taken advice from the reviews, and just visited the observation deck and had a few drinks. The food was terrible. I ordered a burger because I didn't think it would be possible to mess up a burger. My roll was covered in mayonnaise and there was a hair on it. Needless to say, I put that to the side and ate the burger with a fork & knife. The burger did not have much flavor and had a strange texture. My friends ordered the chicken and the salmon. The chicken was rubbery and the salmon was overcooked. We ended with dessert. The cheesecake was just okay, but not one that I would order again. Another one of us got the crème brule and enjoyed that. On another note, the strawberry margaritas were delicious and we were able to take the cool Skylon glass home with us (not bad for $15, or $10 if you only want the margarita which seemed to be in line with drink prices in Niagara Falls). I'm only giving the overall experience 3 stars because the service was great and the view was fantastic. I would visit again only for the view and to grab a few drinks. It was awesome to sit in the revolving dining room which provided a FANTASTIC view of the falls. I also enjoyed reading the fun facts on the window ledge as we rotated.
Too expensive, but the service and views were great.
My first experience with a revolving dinning experience :) The food was sub-par but worth eating at for the view and free ride to the observation deck.
The view was incredibly awesome! But the waiters seemed like too busy to handle group customers so we had a quite long idle time to be served. The food was very good, we had a grilled salmon with rice and veg, a grilled tenderlon steak-mideum. The Steak was little bit overcooked and the rice was a bit salty..but overall, it was a good anniversary-celebrating dining with fantastic view!!
Food is passable, I ordered the sea bass which did not taste particularly fresh with a side of cafeteria style broccoli and rice. I can’t recommend that dish. The stunning views make you forgive it somewhat but the price for the quality of the meal is sticker shocking. I may have preferred a few appetizers and cocktails instead. Dessert was also regrettably forgettable. The views are way better from the restaurant than from the observation deck!!
Good food, good service, and a beautiful view of Niagara Falls. It was very crowded, so was had to wait a bit to be seated. Food a little expensive but considering the view it was worth going there. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable, I thing her name is Marieann but not entirely sure, I know she was originally from Serbia.
The view is, of course, spectacular and the food isn't as bad or overpriced as the tourist trap fears make it out to be. I'd definitely recommend lunch/daylight & going the salad & appetizer route.
Accommodations are very tight, to the point that people at adjacent tables poke into your conversation (especially when you're pointing out distant sights)
