Sit in a booth and watch our Smack DAB chefs prepare your favorite item from our forno oven and open concept kitchen area. The room is designed to take full advantage of the incredible lake views from the restaurant and bar, private dining room, and outdoor patio. Large folding glass doors allow for an open-air environment in the summer months.
Overall food was decent but very overpriced for what you get.
One of our favourite places to go, great happy hour, great food. Burgers and pizzas special surprise, vg

Smack Dab is a great place to entertain your family, friends or dates. Their patio is one of the very best to sit on and enjoy the view but even sitting inside is a great place to be!
The menu has changed at smack
Dab and sadly they no longer have crazy fries. This was our favorite dish and sadly they don’t have it anymore (even though it is advertised as such on their website).
Best food ever. Taste, quality and presentation. Our new "favourite redtsurant".
The truffle spaghetti and meatballs was delicious as always. The lamb was melt-in-your-mouth. The pistachio pavlova was the most beautifully plated dessert I have ever had. It was reminiscent of Alinea's infamous table dessert, but this was on a plate and much closer to home! I regret not taking a photo of it; it was stunning.
Good food, excellent service
Food looked and tasted great!!
We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will definitely be back. Nice quiet environment, easy to hear each other with views of the lake.
Have been before in the past twice and was impressed both times. This time not so much. Steak was ordered med rare and was chewy..pasta was way to oily and overall I would rather taste the food rather than cover it up with a bunch of rich sauces. Tell the chefs to tone it down and just concentrate on making food taste good. I might try again...hard to say. I was trying to impress my guests from Ontario. They hardly ate anything
Thank you for making our 30th anniversary special. We were in visiting from Edmonton
We always dine at the Smack Dab Restaurant when we vacation at Manteo Beach Resort.
The Arugula Salad and Marguerite Pizza were Delicious!
The food is absolutely always amazing. It is my Famuly's #1 stop to visit here in Kelowna
Great experience awesome food and great ambience
Great place. Menu lacks variety. Glazed ribs should be an entree they are that delicious.
The food is always good here. This time out the service was pretty non existent. We seemed to spend the entirety of the evening waiting for our waiter. Which is frustrating when you are having a date night and you know you are going to have appetizers, mains, dessert and coffee. We only go out a couple of times a month so when the service is lacklustre it is super annoying.
The view is stunning for Smack DAB. It seems like no matter where you sit, you can see the lake. The large windows bring in lots of light and make it a very warm and inviting space.
The food was great, as usual. But the service was fair (at best). The server seemed inexperienced.
But I would recommend Smack DAB to everyone based on it's location and ambience.
The mussels were amazing.
I ordered the steak. It was cooked OK but was very chewy . Definitely not worth the price. I believe $36.00. I had to cut the Chewy bits off. Vegetables were adequate.
We were seated in the middle of the path on the way out side. It was very cold as people were sitting outside & the staff kept going in & out. Sometimes the door would remain open. There were other tables that were not occupied a little ways from the main thoroughfare from the door. I would suggest you seat people in those first.
It was very noisy, sometimes had to repeat what we were saying.
Food was good. Service prompt .Waitress very good
Overall a great dining experience. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was very good and portion sizes were very generous. Veal chop looked delicious as did the steak. Chicken pasta dish was OK but seemed a bit bland. Lots of cheese and chicken pieces were a bit large. The arugula salad was very good.
We had a great night at Smack dab. The view from the patio was spectacular! We had a rock star view of the lake and the service fabulous. We had one of the best Caesar salads that I have ever had...and I am picky about my salads! The server recommended the chicken pizza and it was delish. She also brought some house made hot sauce that is amazing and a must try, if you like a little heat. I will go back and I highly recommend a lunch or dinner there.
Although the food was good, our service was abysmal. When the waitress took our orders for both food and drink we asked that we wait at least 15 minutes after our drinks arrived before we received our food. Next thing we know our food was arriving with no drinks in sight, so we sent the food back. After a few minutes our drinks arrived and then the waitress approached and we told her to put our orders in in about 20 minutes. The food arrived and it was excellent. We asked for a dessert menu and eventually chose one. This time, after at least 20 -25 minutes we had to find our waitress and ask her where the dessert was. When she brought it, there was no apology for the delay which we would have appreciated. We are 3 "ladies that lunch" and all of us feel that although we enjoyed the food and setting we will certainly be taking our business elsewhere. All of this could have been rectified if our waitress had paid a bit more attention and offered either an explanation or apology for all the problems.
The server was not good at all!
Sitting out on the patio made it all worth it. Over looking the lake & the calm of the water was awesome. The server was great. The music in the background a perfect level for visiting. The food we ordered was good but not outstanding for the price. My friend had pizza & loved the crust but said it was too cheesy & soggy. My tacos were good but a little dry & could have used 3 instead of 2.
Our waitress disappeared for 20 minutes at a time. The chicken wings tasted like cardboard. The pizza was cold. Disappointing.
I read the other reviews. Too bad for some people who
had troubles, but our food, drinks, and service were altogether excellent. A definite recommend for a nice spot to get together with friends and family. The patio is lovely.
The food was overpriced and mediocre. I ordered a baked pasta with arugula salad-the portion size was tiny and it was incredibly overpriced at $29! Our server was inattentive and we were left without an offer of a drink refill for a half hour.
Our food was served and we had to ask for utensils. Server had difficulty describing the size of portions. Otherwise, nice setting.
We had a great time at Smack Dab. It was our first time there. The view was spectacular of the marina and the lake and the mountains. The service was very accommodating and helpful and efficient. The food was so appetizing and delicious. The presentations of the crispy chicken sandwich, the honey glazed ribs, the pasta bolognese, and the mediterranean pasta were mouth watering. We had fun with sampling the white wines on the flight board. We all shared the decadent chocolate cheesecake and the peanut butter ice cream for dessert. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing late lunch there. Our waiter Marcus was excellent. We would definitely recommend Smack Dab to friends and family and would love to go back there again ourselves.
The hostess is not very
These people don't honour or respect your reservations. Because I showed up and requested the patio, the unfriendly hostess cancelled my reservation and put us on a 20-40 min waitlist. Kidding me right?
Don't bother making a reservation.
We left and decided to go to El Dorado (next door) were greeted and treated like important guests, and we had the best evening ever seated right by the lake.
Shame that some businesses treat their customers with disregard.
Smack Dab has a great patio and I specifically requested a patio seat so that my guests from Ontario could enjoy the fantastic view. On arrival we were told that the patio cannot be reserved and we would have to wait until a table became available. Two tables were empty at that time.
After half an hour or so we were eventually seated on the patio. Our server was great, the food was good and the views were terrific. It would have been appreciated if someone could have responded to the request ahead of time so that we could have had a drink in the bar first while waiting on a table outside.
We were disappointed with this visit. I had requested the patio when I made the reservation but we were put at a table in the corner and the host ran away without saying a word. When I asked the server she said I would have to talk to the host but I didn’t bother as I felt like I was causing a problem. There were plenty of tables on the patio that were open the entire time we were there yet other guests were told there was a waitlist. It was really hot and loud. Food was just ok which was disappointing because we enjoyed a really great lunch there a few weeks ago. Great lunch place, not sure we’ll be back for dinner anytime soon.
We had trouble keeping our wait staff interested and our meal took forever to arrive.
Smack Dab is one of our favourite places to have lunch, but unfortunately today’s experience was disappointing. Our table and drink service was fine, but we waited a very long time for our share plate apple. When I asked, the waitress said the kitchen was very busy, yet I’ve been there when it’s been far busier and had no such delays. When our salads arrived, the Lyonnsise had a very odd open space (about 1/3) on the plate which we could not figure out. Artful presentation? Something else was supposed to be there but wasn’t? Also, the lardons were oddly buried under the salad. The arugula salad was good, as always, but my added prawns ($9) were small, sadly overdone, and just plopped on the side. Again, the presentation was off its usual standard. Lastly, our pizza was very soggy despite our asking for it to be cooked extra crispy. All in all, nothing was terrible, but nothing was as good as we’ve come to expect as regular diners there. Something definitely was off today. New kitchen staff, perhaps?
Staff weren't very engaging but were able to move us to the patio when requested. Service was good. Pizza we had for our appy was delicious, however our mains were a little disappointing considering the price (halibut and prawns & steak). Would definitely come back for pizza on the patio but that's about it.
Relaxing atmosphere, great wait staff, beautiful setting.
Very load poor service menu limited wouldn’t go again
