We could not be more grateful to the team who works at SMITH for the amazing atmosphere, service, and food we experienced. Especially now, during such a difficult time - we appreciate you so much. Thank you with all of our hearts.
The Caesar salad was one of the best I have ever had. The Pork Belly was the dish of the night. The Duck breast was delicious. The Benriach Scotch to finish was great.
We need a coffee menu. I know you can make everything buy it would be nice tO see the options. Our food is great.
A very nice meal! The food came really quickly and was DELICIOUS! I loved the atmosphere - it was so cozy and intimate. I would definitely go again.
Amazing food! Great portion size and loved that they celebrated our anniversary!
A cafeteria experience with restaurant prices. Soup (good), lamb shank dinner (good), a six ounce glass of white wine and a bill of $70. Wow! It’s not enough of an experience to draw me back again.
Food was excellent and fresh. Service was awesome and friendly The place is extremely clean and sanitized regularly. Not loud. Would definitely recommend this place
I always enjoy Smith. The food is great and the atmosphere even better. I'll be back very soon!
I chose this restaurant mostly for its ambience... it's beautiful lighting fixtures gave it a real boost. The food was lovely although i felt the gnocchi could have had a little more seasoning.
The drinks were superb and it was a lovely experience altogether.
Food was very good but service was quite slow.
They didn’t have oysters because of the pandemic, which I understand, but it was still disappointing. The food was good, but I remember it being better. Drinks were really good. Our server was fantastic.
Great service, food, ambience. Been to a few restaurants/patios during covid, this was the only one where the servers/staff were not wearing masks and social distancing amongst staff wasn’t really observed. Otherwise a great experience!
This is a very nice restaurant. The staff were attentive and provided excellent service. They knew the menu well and were very helpful. Desserts were excellent.
We sat in the patio and there are no umbrellas so we were in direct hot sun.
One of our party of 5 ordered the house salad which was $18 and the menu listed about 6 ingredients besides salad greens. The salad came with a heap of greens, 3 small tidbits of cucumber and a light dusting of feta cheese. Unacceptable !!! A salad is very hard to screw up that badly.
Was very nice with a pleasant atmosphere. Loved the Yaki-Udon - pork belly was cooked very nicely!
Went for brunch, ordered eggs benedict and cauliflower fritters, delicious. Fritters were battered, placed a bed of lime yogurt drizzle, fritters drizzled with their signature hot sauce, so good along with the egg dish. Coffee was a flavorful, server was excellent & attentive.
The food was amazing will definitely be going back.
Food and service was excellent. We will be back. :)
We planned a nice dinner for our anniversary and were severely underwhelmed. Our server completely ignored my partner, only taking my drink order and walking away before even glancing at my partner for him to order. Coming to the table and asking if we’re ready to order drinks and only looking at one of us and walking away before even looking at the other person seated? We almost left immediately. We had a table that wasn’t balanced and when asked to have it fixed or sit somewhere else. The attempt to fix it was okay.... still was unbalanced. The service felt quick, and we felt very rushed . A dinner valued at well over $100 for 2 people should be much better. I don’t even think our server even told us his name. Huge disappointment considering we were expecting to have a dinner that was special and worth the money. I could’ve had better serviced and an overall much better experience at any restaurant that costs half the price. The food was good but I definitely wouldn’t be itching to come back just simply based off of the quality of everything else. My partner and I left feeling like we had definitely wasted our time and money on a place that didn’t seem to care about our business.
Good meal and service. Portions were small for the price.
Patio seating was excellent. Service was friendly but unresponsive. Food was good but, but not good or distinctive enough enough to warrant the price.
I've made a reservation to have dinner, arrived 10 minutes earlier than scheduled. We were quickly seated in a table at the corner, which I didn't appreciate much. The house was full and the attendants were in a hurry, I was expecting a bit more of attention and more explanation to our questions as it was our first time. Two different attendants worked on our table, the first one was pilled of things to do, the second one was a pregnant woman who did great! We ordered a red sangria which wasn't fresh, the taste was just ok. The sliced fries were tasting awesome, main dishes were good as well except for the pickerel which was just a sad pickerel alone in the dish plus some seasoning herbs. Anything else would be at least $10 more. Overall the place is good, the food is a bit overpriced and the service is just ok, but it could be better.
My only negative comment would be that we felt we were sitting in the lobby rather the enjoying the ambience of the restaurant. I do appreciate the social distancing requirements - however I felt we were seated too close to the main reception seating area.
Food and drinks were very good.
The food and cocktails were fantastic. Great service also! I definitely recommend
As always, the food was great. We had an issue with crostini’s being way too salty (with the Steak Tartare), but the server remedied that with some great toasted sourdough. All in all a lovely evening. We sat outside and it was a bit breezy, but no bugs!
Nice restaurant! Definitely one of our favourite go-to spots in Winnipeg. Classy and casual.
We had a great meal and the service was excellent. It is a bit on the pricey side but honestly worth every penny.
Great experience! Very knowledgeable staff that helped me with picking gluten friendly options.
We love eating at SMITH. It is always a relaxing experience with local food, friendly staff, and a great location.
Amazing food and drinks on the patio on Canada Day. Service was friendly and attentive. We love SMITH and already can't wait to go back!
I love the chips and dip but they were out... the wounded cheese is a close second. The steak was the only disappointment asked for rare it was medium rare at best. Everyone else's food was great.
Given the pandemic , we appreciated safe zone, menu, and total service received.
We came out early, used your patio, great food and service.
Then walked around the Forks, July 1, and came back for our most delicious meal. The server was absolutely amazing!
First of all, I and my date were kept waiting as she got there first and was seated and even though I got there early, I and she were kept waiting as I only gave them my first name and it was reserved under my full name. The food was tasty but we had the pickerel and it was just the pickerel, nothing else. To even have a vegetable, it was a la carte, which to my mind is not appropriate. I am getting really annoyed with restaurants that don’t give you good quantities of food or of low quality, just because their location is good, I would much rather eat at a place that focuses on good overall value food. Once we were both seated, the service was good but I don’t think I want to go back.
Lovely. Great service and the food (gnocchi, caesar salad, verging Strawberry drink and the hamburger wwere all amazing!
Excellent atmosphere, incredible drinks and amazing food. The service was impeccable and I felt very safe and comfortable eating there during these unusual times (covid-19).
Great patio and wonderful service from all staff. The food was good too and were able to accommodate allergies with no issues.
I love the ambiance there. Cocktails and food are always delicious and it is the first place that made it feel normal to go out. They are taking all necessary precautions with the current situation but are not making it an uncomfortable experience.
For brunch, the menu is very limited and not very inspiring. Food was just ok, nothing to run back for. Portions were ok if not ravenous making prices high for what you get. Would go back but with lower expectations.
The buttermilk chicken was incredible!
Pounded cheese was incredible, the steak was just ok. Service was great.
