The best steak I've ever had in Calgary!
We had a wonderful dining experience. The shrimp and scallops were done to perfection.
The service was excellent and it was very cozy.
Portion sizes were generous. I had not been to Smuggler’s in about 15 years but plan to go back soon!
Perfect place to get a way for a mid-week dinner, no fuss, fantastic service and great food.
Just a meal out at my favourite restaurant. Food was good, place was busy when I arrived and a bit noisy.
The service was a little slow but the server had a lot of tables. The food was good.
Excellent service provided by Marco. Good food, everyone left happy!
Excellent meal to full to have dessert next time
Always enjoy going for lunch and dinner. Fabulous server and appreciated the birthday celebration. Thank you!
As always.... excellent service and food.... perfect ambience.... great for dinner before the concert
We were there for the Sunday brunch and found plenty of selection and the food was great.
Definitely one of the best -if not the best brunch buffet in Calgary!
Smuggler’s is a wonderful place for those special occasions. We have been going there for many years and are never disappointed.
We have come here for many years so have noticed a change in the food. The prime rib was done to perfection, medium rare, but the side of broccoli and carrots was way overcooked. The potatoes tasted okay but the presentation was not good. The Yorkshire pudding was great! The salad bar was okay but all the lettuce was wilted and not fresh looking. None of us had any lettuce. The soup was good, the steak soup used to have visible steak in it, pureed is not as good.
Sorry, you wanted to know. At this time we would not recommend Smuggler's to our friends.
We were out with friends to celebrate our anniversary and had a lovely evening . Excellent service, delicious food and no one rushing us!
Great service, delicious food and a very cozy ambiance
As usual food etc.was awesome and our server was amazing so friendly and helpful
Great food, service and value. We've been many times to Smugglers and have never been disappointed
We have going to Smugglers since the 70s and have never been dissapointed. We were celebrating a family birthday and chose it as a very special dining experience where we knew we wouldn't be dissapointed for a special occasion.
Best prime rib in Calgary, service was top notch. Better then the keg in every way!
Amazing experience as usual.
Great. But your salads seem wilted. Needs spruced up in cold water to make them crisp. Soup feels salty.
Prime rib was super delicious...definitely a must-order item from the menu. Also love their beef ribs as usual. Unlimited salad bar and soup was a bonus. Always enjoy coming back to this restaurant.
As good as it always has been. I have been away for sometime and it was my first choice in Calgary, and it still is.
ALL WAS GREAT. TABLE WAS READY AND STAFF WAS FRIENDLY
We had a wonderful evening celebrating our 45th wedding anniversary, and both of our birthdays. Our server was terrific, bringing food in a timely fashion without rushing us. We have been going to this restaurant since the day it opened, and will continue to do so. Food and service is consistently wonderful!
Excellent as usual
Everything was very good. However, my steak was over done. I ordered medium rare and got medium well which was disappointing and surprising. The taste was very good and it was still tender so I did not feel the need to send it back.
Great spot for lunch. The prime rib has dot to be the best in the city.
The Portuguese bean soup in the salad bar is spectacular and I have it each time I’m there. The lighting is good for eating but a little bit lacking in order to read the menu. But then I have a flashlight in my phone. The dinners are large, well prepared and tasty. You get your prime rib exactly as ordered. One of our favourite restaurants.
Haven’t been there in years and it didn’t disappoint, we had a lovely time, a great meal and drinks! Definitely a special evening and will come back again in a few years!
The service was excellent and great as usual.
The prime rib is always excellent!! The ambiance is always special, Smuggler's Inn is definitely one of my top restaurants in Calgary!
Too expensive for quality of food. Steaks were either over or under done compared to what everyone ordered. Waiter was a bit brash and no small portions for seniors. Parents split a meal and Smuggs wanted $16 for extra salad bar. Not worth $16.
The salads were mostly wilted on top and unappealing. The hot foods were warm at best and basically cold by the time you started to eat. The server didn’t smile or seem happy to be there. We had a special occasion and she did not recognize it even once from the time we mentioned it until we paid and left. We will not return.
Only concern I have is that the tables are too close together for people who are awkward. I hate the word disabled but with a cane and slower movement it was a bit tricky. fresh buns were in short supply and that was not quickly remedied. but otherwise the food and choices were great.
Only rare roast beef. Yuk. No hot Vegs. Chicken was stone cold. I brought all of this to the door man, the hostess and the waitress. No one cared.. really bad service. Never was ask if I would like another wine. I never did eat, I put my plate down, told the 3 people. They all said let me get someone. Nothing. Waitress new I was not eating . Everything my son had was cold except Benny’s.. terrible. Awe full
Quality of food is limited compared to other brunches I have been to but the quality of the food seems much better especially the beef! Definitely much more flavourful and juicier than the ones at some of the hotel brunches we have been to.
Wish they just had more selection but will go back.
Everything was good for a Buffett brunch! Love the Asian lady at the egg and fresh cut meat station, staff was great as well
Great food! A new favourite spot! My husband had the prime rib and I had the seafood platter. Both were excellent. Love, love, love the salad bar.
The vegetables were cold and raw. My friend's filet steak was burnt and overdone. The waiter did his best.
