Everything we had was amazing! We all ordered typical brunch items, but the slight twist and fresh ingredients made all the dishes stand out from other places where we've had similar items.
Great local Fed Hill eatery. Super food - surprisingly creative. All ingredients were high quality. From perfectly grilled/seasoned scallops to great burger. Sides were great, particularly the oven-roasted fingerlings instead of fries with the burgers. Extremely friendly, very accommodating staff in a small and very old building. If it only had a full liquor license instead of just beer/wine, but it's basically a local tavern with GREAT food and service.
A true neighborhood gem with delicious food and great service. When full it can get rather loud so
my recommendation would be to book your dinner reservation for an early time or your lunch late when it is quieter.
Excellent menu and great service. A charming, cozy neighborhood place.
Went for restaurant week. Portions were deceptive - looked small but we could barely finish desert. Very cozy local place - just fancy enough without being pretentious. Homemade pasta was outstanding but ever so slightly under seasoned. Spinach pie did not disappoint. Would totally come here for a la carte dining. Very attentive service without being intrusive.
Tuesday night live music in a cozy neighborhood spot with friendly owner and staff and delicious food. What more need I say?!? (My pan seared salmon was delicious tonight and from a prior visit I can highly recommend the french onion soup. Yum!!!)
The food at SoBo has been consistently wonderful. We have been to SoBo at least 6 times in the last 14 months and are very happy to have a place so reliably good. Can't wait till the cold weather to go back to have their yummy chicken pot pie.
Just what I was looking for!
First time dining at SoBo. The owner was very inviting. Great neighborhood vibe. Everything was hand crafted in-house. Very delicious. We started with chilled melon soup and Roasted Beet Salad. For dinner we both had the Cod with Roasted Vegetables. OMG! The chocolate pudding with peanut butter whipped cream was the stuff dreams are made of.
We were there for lunch on a July weekday and easily got a table. The house smoked salmon was amazing! The service was great! Highly recommend.
This place was great. We had 6 different meals and everyone loved them! The wait staff was super friendly. They were accommodating of my 18 month old nephew who spent the whole time drawing on the paper tablecloth with the provided crayons. Seriously though.... would go back to Baltimore just for this 😍
Fantastic food, creative menu and a fantastic place
We enjoyed our several SoBo suppers.
Stopped here on the way to the airport for a taste of gourmet Baltimore; was not disappointed. Located on a nondescript small street, the quiet, unobtrusive service in a small space bordered by a bar added to the serenity of a Monday solo lunch. The signature chicken pot pie tasted decadently of cream sauce while showing the traditional peas, carrots, celery, and chicken chunks under a beautiful separately baked puff pastry crust. I could do without the chunks of potato in the pie, though—too much starch.
Food was great. Second time trying the veggie scramble and i loved it both times. Mimosa was delicious.
Good Sunday Bruch spot
The staff was super friendly and helpful. Drink menu a little disappointing but appetizers and entrees were excellent!
Great food! Great atmosphere! Love SOBO!
My first time to this restaurant as I do not live in Baltimore. It was exceptional in every sense of the word. I would go back again the next time I find myself in Baltimore.
Wonderful, innovative food and excellent service. Good prices for quality food
The staff and food were wonderful, it never disappoints!
Cute place, the staff were very friendly and the service was good. Unfortunately, the food wad mediocre.
Our party of six overall really enjoyed our dining experience. Salads were delicious. Potpie was a little heavy on sage buy plenty of meat and veggies with beautiful top crust. Muffaletto was the best our friend had eaten. Prosciutto and peach flatbread was a big hit with the person in our party who ordered that. Would definitely recommend.
SoBo is a neighborhood gem. The food was really delicious
for lunch. I was delighted that the place wasn’t completely full and there was no background music because it can be quite loud in there and I wanted to have a conversation with my out of town business colleague. We both loved our food
and the service and the overall ambiance.
This was my first time at The SoBo Cafe and I will definitely be returning. My favorite beer (Union Craft Duckpin) was on draft and I had the House Smoked Salmon and Ranch Salad for my entree. Excellent combination of ingredients and the baked smoked salmon was superb. Service was excellent and the cafe had a great vibe!
Farewell dinner with friends relocating ...
We went for Father’s Day & it was fabulous!!!
I had a huge and scrumptious 1/2 chicken & my son had wonderful pot pie. We tried the chocolate pudding with PEANUT BUTTER WHIPPED CREAM that I am still dreaming about it . We have to go back very soon !!!
Sobo is one of our favorites because of the friendly staff and consistent food. My house salad and spinach pie were yummy. I really like the bleu cheese; the dressing, however, was too vinegary to suit me so I will substitute something else next time. My husband’s chipped beef and eggs were perfectly cooked ( over easy with whites that are done) and served with a lovely fruit salad: melon, strawberry, pineapple and grapes. I was only sorry that I was too full to have an amazing cinnamon roll, which is not to be missed!
Had a great time on Sunday brunch. Food was really good. Service was quick and nice. You wont be disappointed!
Fantastic food, exceptional service and pleasant, intimate atmosphere. We loved our refreshing summer cocktails and the Korean chicken fried steak was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The server was accommodating and let us substitute the mashed potatoes for a brussel sprout salad which was wonderful! The spread sampler was great and we really enjoyed the crudites which were served with it. I'd highly recommend visiting SoBo.
Usually when I go to Sobo cafe I get the Italian chicken. Not only is the chicken delicious, but so are the sides! But this time I decided to try the seafood fettuccini and it was excellent. They make the pasta fresh in house and it is fabulous. The sauce was wonderful as well. I also love the vibe of Sobo. From the staff to the other patrons, it just has a friendly atmosphere.
The only problem now is, the next time we go I won't be able to decide between ordering the chicken of the fettuccini.
We dined here with 6 people celebrating my daughter's graduation the next day. We needed good vegetarian options. The spread appetizer plate was a big hit, especially the feta. The peanut crusted tofu with soba noodles, scallops and Italian chicken were all enjoyed. The wait staff was terrific. We ordered. only wine, so I can't say how cocktails are, but I am sure they are good!
Wish I discovered this place 4 years ago so I could have gone back every year that my daughter was in school (Goucher College).
SoBo Cafe is one of our favorites in the city. It’s small and has a mellow vibe. Love Anna, the owner. She remembered me from months ago! The food is so good. I had the roast chicken - spaghetti squash fritters and arugula pesto orzo were so,tasty. The other entrees at our table were salad with grilled chicken, chicken pot pie and the burger. Every entree was great. The pot pie is a generous portion , our son finished all of it !
Food was great.
Our server, Whitney, was great too!
cute small restaurant in downtown Baltimore, nice quaint ambience, really yummy Mac and cheese and seafood is good!
Incredible meals and wonderful staff!. We were there for Mother's Day and they were gracious and the food was outstanding.
Great for breakfast or a light brunch. Very good service and atmosphere.
Great waitstaff , food and wine! Would like better quality wine glasses, but that’s just me . Exceptional value.
The food was amazing as usual. Service was good but there weren’t enough servers I think they may have been overwhelmed. But still it was a fab dining experience.
SoBo rarely disappoints. We had a wonderful dinner with friends...everything was excellent. Loved the new preparation of Scallops. Our friends are vegetarians and they absolutely loved the spinach pie. Great place in Federal Hill!
