   The food was delicious! I was a bit disappointed with the 4 small scallops for the price, but they did taste amazing. Ask for a mojito! Super good!

   We thought would be a romantic anniversary turned out to be very average and didn’t meet that level of divine expectations. Spend the money and go elsewhere. Our server Ben was fabulous, the Peach Keen drink was fantastic so was the duck pastrami and the remaining dishes fell off the radar. From the goat salad that was an after thought with large lettuce leafs to extra crispy carrots (possibly burnt) in the carrot salad, to an extra Spicy pepper hamburger that left us both feeling queasy after. No acknowledgement it was our anniversary or the fact I wrote specifically mentioning our allergies were just ignored. The drink menu looks better than the food menu. Go to Social with zero expectations and you won’t be disappointed. We won’t return.

   Our evening started off nicely, service was great, and then we waited 2 hours for our meal to come out. Unfortunately all 4 of our entrees were cold. Our waiter made no effort to refill our drinks or ask about our meals. He also spent a lot of time talking to the other tables, but consistently walked by our table and did not speak to us. No one in our party felt brave to speak up about the poor customer service. I feel bad, because he had such an amazing personality but the service was awful. Too bad we had this disappointing service with your restaurant tonight.

   Best dining experience I’ve ever had! I have a lot of dietary restrictions because of a medical condition, so I hardly ever eat out - but my partner and I decided to go out for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The staff went above and beyond to prepare a list of exactly what menu options would be safe for me to eat, which took all of the stress out of ordering. Not only was the service exceptional, the food was delicious - I got the steak, and my partner went for the social burger and crème brûlée. Thank you so much for making our night out so wonderful. We’ll definitely be back soon!

   Being on a diet that is low in sodium and potassium presents significant challenges when dining out and it makes such a difference if the waiter is open, knowledgeable about the menu and willing to look for substitutions that allow me to share meals with friends and family. That was the case with our waiter at Social who was warm, friendly and helpful. She also brought a complimentary dessert to mark my birthday!

    We weren't sure what to expect - we had miscommunicated, and each thought the other made reservations for Valentine's Day, only to figure out that we didn't have reservations on the morning of Valentine's Day as questions surfaced about where we were booked. We found a prime-time opportunity at Social which seemed too good to be true. Other "opportunities" from other restaurants with availability had reviews that suggested Social would be our best choice, so we made a reservation. Valentine's Day parking in the Byward Market is terrible, but other than that, it was a perfect evening. We realized that although we had been to Social multiple times in the past, we had never actually been seated inside. It was always summer, and we would be in the courtyard outside. Social has an impressive cocktail menu featuring many cocktails that I'm not familiar with. The Le Marche was so good; I need to learn how to make it so I can have it at home as well! The dinner was a 4-course offering with two or three options for each course. The 4-course dinner came with an optional wine pairing for each course, which was great. Our food arrived in a timely manner. We weren't rushed to finish our cocktails, nor were we waiting too long for the food to arrive. The dishes were visually appealing - I thought they were well presented. Every one of the four courses was delicious. The food was outstanding. The wine pairings were very well done too. One minor complaint, for some reason, I thought the dessert I ordered was supposed to be a chocolate dessert - I can't recall exactly what was on the menu as that had been removed some time ago. There was no chocolate to be found. However, the dessert that was served to me was delicious. All in all, we might not have found ourselves at Social if it hadn't been for the communication error on our part, but it was a very fortunate result that was entirely due to that error. I wish all of our mistakes would turn out so well.

    Good service, liked our waiter. Food tastes good, but not worth $105. Tomato soup was a bit on the sour side, expected scallops to be half a size larger. Beef tenderloin had good char and paired well if sauce. Creme brulee top was too hard.

    Excellent service, the place is amazing. my burger was excellent. My fiancée had the special but it only had about 3 small pieces of pasta. The rest was all vegetables and mostly onions. Very disappointing. I wanted to mentioned something but didn’t want to embarrass her. I don’t feel the value for what I paid was worth it but I’m seeing it more and more with inflation so I rarely go out anymore. Was going to come back with a group but am considering not.

    Solid classic menu not too expensive. I had the lamb shanks and it was perhaps the best I have ever eaten. Huge shank, fall off the bone tender, delicious sauce and roasted veggies.

    A friend and I had dinner before an NAC show, I mentioned in the Open table reservation that we needed to leave by a certain time. Our waiter was fantastic. He was well aware of our time limit, he was gracious, funny, and an amazing waiter. The food was very well presented on the plate and excellent. The cheesecake dessert was very good, light but rich and very well presented. It had been awhile since we had been to Social. We recommend it.

    My husband and I moved back to Ottawa after 20 years. Social is still a guarantee of excellence!!! The food is amazing, the ambience is just perfect for a romantic dinner or for a get together with friends! The service is just perfect! Sarà and her colleagues made us feel comfy and relaxed in a very elegant and professional way. We will come back soon and many times in the years to come! Bravo!!!

    Wonderful place! The service was fantastic! Two of us had the steak frites and two had the chicken club. We all enjoyed our meals immensely. It was a wonderful way to spend a snowy afternoon.

    First time visiting and it won't be the last. The service was great, perhaps a little bit slow - but it was a busy Friday night so that's totally expected. Cocktails were exceptional, and my duck confit was superb. Ended up with a free dessert because they punched in the wrong one the first time and just gave us both.

    I was disappointed with my meal (chicken), was pretty plain & also not very warm. My husband loved his burger though. No complaints on his end. My drink was OK, but definitely not $15 worth. Wine glasses were about $20 which I find very pricey. Overall our experience was just OK. I may come back & try something else, just to give it a fair shot.

    The decor is nice but the bench seat isn’t secure and was shabby looking. The food was ok but not great. The duck was dry and the steak was Over cooked. The fries were not good. Our server was nice. Overall it’s an ok place but not as good as expected.
