    This was our first visit to SoCo, and we loved it. We'll definitely be back. The food was delicious. The two of us had several small plates - beef carpaccio, pimento cheese and Southern-style tacos. It's hard to say which one was our favorite because we loved them all. We also split a slow-cooked pork stroganoff that was hands down the best dish of the night. My husband loved their robust bourbon collection that allowed him to enjoy some that he hadn't tried before. I liked being able to "build my own" Old Fashion. The desserts were probably the weakest part of the meal. The exterior of the chocolate cake with potato chip crust was quite good but the cake itself was too dry - especially for the density. The caramel bourbon banana pudding was HUGE. It was pretty tasty, but sizing it down so each bite has all the flavors -- instead of just the ones on top -- would probably be better. Sadly, the service was the worst part of the night. The server was extremely nice, but she was given a very large private party that came in after us that occupied all her time in addition to a couple of tables in the dining room. We had to wait extended periods to order new rounds of drinks, then to get the drinks, to order our next course and to get the bill. We ended up being late to a show at Dr. Phillips because of it despite getting there 2 hours beforehand the restaurant being less than half full (other than the large private party). It wasn't the server's fault, but really management for not distributing the tables better. It won't deter us from going again. I highly recommend it.

    This restaurant has been my favorite in Orlando since I first visited. I have never tried a menu item that didn't surprise and delight me. Everything from the service to the decor to the wine menu has exceeded my expectations and then some. If you’re into really good bourbon (like my husband), the selection of high-end bourbons can’t be matched anywhere in Orlando. If you like wine, they have unique finds (La Fleur Solitaire Côtes du Rhône blew me away) as well as a wide selection, many sold by the glass. And the food! It is incomparable to anything I’ve had in Orlando, and I’ve spent a lot of time in Orlando restaurants, since 2004. The chicken and dumplings is not to be missed. The richness of the lobster soy butter edamame sauce is so craveable I would basically lick the plate if I didn't think it would be rude. The pork cheek stroganoff manages to be luxurious and rich and homey without being overwhelming. I have a goal of trying every single thing on the menu. I think I can do it!

    Was fantastic food! However, we sat next to the door leading to the outside seating and it slammed every time it was opened and closed. About every 2 minutes for the entire time. Door closer simply needs to be fixed.

    We love to come here whenever we are in Florida! The food is excellent with many vegetarian/vegan options. The service is always great. We look forward to it every time we come. Definitely recommend!

    Service was great. It's a cool little spot right in Thornton park. For brunch not a lot of options if you're going for food. Every meal was mostly bread/grits/biscuits. Two of the same meals had different amounts of food.

    Party of 4 sat on patio . Server appeared new to this restaurant but was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately , drinks on menu were not available but server tried to accommodate. Food was good but nothing was excellent. This was our fourth visit to this restaurant- the first two were excellent food experiences but were over a year ago. The last two visits we felt let down.

    Food was just okay. We had two small plates, two large plates and a desert. Only two of the five were good and tasty. The others were nothing to write home about. Also, We were seated in a room with no other guests. Not sure why we were relegated to another room other than we are older and didn’t fit in with the younger clientele. The main dining room was not full at all, so we should have been seated with others.

    Went for brunch on Sunday(yesterday) Service was very slow on the patio. Only cocktail napkins until we requested cloth for the meal. First time diners and No suggestions from our server. once we decided on a starter we were informed at that time they “out” of lobster. Tables nearby stayed dirty during entire meal. Had to ask for dirty plates to be picked before next course. Desserts nor coffee were offered. The food we did order was excellent. Hopefully next time table service will match the level of food quality/presentation.

    This was our first time at the restaurant. The menu was really interesting yet I felt there was something for people who enjoy traditional dishes as well. The food was stellar and our server was fantastic! The only hiccup was that on our arrival one Hostess was speaking to another hostess for maybe a minute before acknowledging us. Not a big deal, and I understand things need to be communicated, but at least acknowledge patrons verbally when they arrive and let them know you'll be with them in just a second. The remainder of our experience there was fantastic! We were there for brunch, and we'll be going back for dinner soon!

    Honestly, the experience wasn't great. Haven't been here in a couple years, but my partner wanted Southern food, and we live nearby. Upon entering, there is a strong smell, some combination of antiseptic and curdled milk, and it followed me into the dining room. The decor, flooring, paint, windows all look very dated and poorly maintained. Our server forgot the details of the special they were telling us about mid-sentence and finished with "umm and some other tasty stuff"; similarly, they mistook my partner's entree for something completely different when repeating it back to us, but to their credit at least they repeated it back so he could say that wasn't what he ordered? Our starter took over 30 minutes to arrive after ordering. Yes. Mains followed shortly - fried chicken and duck confit - and fell flat. The whole time it was extremely echo-y even though the dining room was hardly half full at 7:30 on a Friday night. The whole time there I was ready for the experience to be over. Not the relaxing Friday meal out I had in mind. Overall, the bill was fine, cheap even, for the types of food, but I suppose you can't charge premiums when the service and ambiance are sorely lacking. I don't know why we haven't been in years, as I remember it being fine (never great, but good enough), but now it is on our avoid list.

    Outstanding food! My wife and I had 3 small dishes and split a dinner dish, all had surprisingly great flavors. The Soy butter lobster ravioli had us googling recipes. We loved it. Great cocktails as well. We sat at a high top table in the bar area, had great service from a double team of servers. Very friendly and helpful with the menu. However they couldn’t get us the soy butter recipe :) we came from Melbourne and will drive an hour to come back.

    Did a family style brunch and bottomless mimosas of course. Tried the fish cakes, dumplings, deviled eggs, a couple of cocktails and this bomb lobster dish that had the most perfect flavor complex. Definitely will be back. Our server is a gem!

    Stopped there prior to the Depeche Mode concert and totally surprised by variety of food. The Marconi and Cheese Croquets were exceptionally good, way better than expected. The atmosphere 6 PM on a Tuesday Night was nice and quiet. As we tried many plates of food for the 2 of us to share, each plate was spaced out allowing us to enjoy each of them. The staff was specifically attentive, even someone from the bar are cam over picked up some plates, and asked if we wanted another drink.

    I thoroughly enjoyed everything here. We both did the prix fixe menu, which changes regularly but was delicious and reasonable. Service (Heidi) was perfect. And the ambiance was perfect. (Except for the door to the outside dining that kept slamming shut constantly) Hopefully that door has been addressed by our next visit?

    Took my wife and several of our kids there for my wife’s Birthday dinner. The staff helped us to conceal my wife’s childhood friend that came in from across the country to help celebrate. Our food was amazing but our server always gets 5/5 stars! Thank you for repeatedly making the trip from the beach into Orlando well worth it! Highly recommend this dining favorite!
