Had gone to this place a lot in the past, but hadn’t for a while. Menu has been reduced to very few food choices. In the old days you got a small side salad with dinner I thought. Food was good but portion is small for what you pay. $24 for chicken picatta with a tiny bit of spinach, two fairly good pieces of chicken, but no salad or soup? I can get that at most places with a lot if spinach plus a salad for $18. Il Sogno needs to up their game to get me to come back again.
Great rooftop dining experience. As always the food is awesome and service is very attentive.
It’s on the second floor so glad to see elevator because of I’m handicapped and it’s difficult for me walk. Friendly staff but a bit warm on this Saturday evening. We arrived by 5:00 pm and not that busy. Food was ok my me but my wife loved the lobster ravioli. I had the gnocchi and meatballs . The gnocchi where fine and sauce was sweet. I got a little warm and then they opened a second window to let a mild breeze in. When I went was the warms day we’ve had in a bit. Minestrone was flavorful but I prefer more beans in my soup. Bruschetta was very good but small. 3 pieces. Chocolate cake was good but no coffee. When I asked they said I can have an American coffee. Shot of expresso in warm water. I think I’ll pass on going back. Not bad but I’ve had better for$200.00. Good luck
Staff is always ready for a recommendation if you need one; fabulous food and a great wine list!
Great food, great service, great view. And can’t beat the ½ off wine! Will absolutely be back.
My wife, son and I had dinner here on Mother’s Day. We had a table on the roof top which is nicely done. The service was great and our meals were even better.
Absolutely the best Italian food around. Everyone reads you like family.
We love this place and how they make you feel like family. The outside deck was a little noisy for us as we were the only party of 2. We also missed having Tiffany wait on us, though Chris did a wonderful job. Looking forward to our next visit here. PS Congrats Rose & Tiffany!
Have been there several times pickingbour daughter up or visiting Wheaton.
Everything has always been good
Excellent food and excellent service!
Made reservations was pleasantly surprised there was availability on the rooftop very nice.
The waiter was great very patient we were busy talking and dining at the same time so no rush.
Good selection of wine great appetizers definitely was in the mood for some Italian fare
Veal Agnolotti was excellent although sauce was very thick. Chicken Piccata was average - not exciting.
Great Italian food but pricey. Wine list needs an option in the $8 glass, $30 bottle or carafe range
Perfect meal before a concert. Got out in plenty of time.
We were seeking a family friendly restaurant for Easter dinner. Not brunch, not buffet, just a nice meal. The limited menu had a variety of choices for first course, entree and side dish plus a several desserts. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the fixed price was reasonable. Service was very friendly and efficient, too, even though there were many large parties to attend. I would recommend this as a date night restaurant, too, with it’s relative quiet and warm industrial decor, it is a pleasant dining experience.
Wasn’t enough goats cheese on my beet salad. My veal was a terrible texture and my piccata was not a true piccata.
Our waiter was the best we have ever had at Sogno. He had a great personality and very attentive.
Great food and service. Restaurant is a bit loud
I had veal picatta and it was delicious! My husband had a pasta dish the he thought was really good. We will definitely go again.
Sogno is a great "truly Italian" restaurant! The food is outstanding and the environment, especially the outdoor seating is perfect in their "all weather" upper level. Always a great evening !!
A focused menu featuring well crafted classics. Attentive, unobtrusive service. A nicely paced dining experience.
Food is good, service very good. Looking forward to summer to try out the new roof top dining section.
Love it! Wonderful service and amazing food.
Great food, good service but so loud we literally were screaming at each other to hear! Other than the noise level we love this restaurant! There is free valet parking right out side the door which is very nice.
Food and service are 4-5 stars. And, given we were relatively early diners, most of the dinner was spent in pleasant conversation. However, as the restaurant filled, and it did fill, additional conversation became problematic. nevertheless, we will be coming back.
Great food. Love the staff! Service is outstanding
We had baked clams, misto griglia appetizers, risotto special with white fish, veal marsala main courses & agnolotti funghi pasta. All were outstanding. Three of the four in our party are Italian so we know a bit about good Italian food. We have dined here several times and have never been disappointed.
Food was amazing, the staff were top notch and extremely attentive. I will be going back for sure. OUTSTANDING!
Servers are always pleasant. Food is always outstanding. Rose is wonderful greeting guests back while she continues to serve her own tables.
We felt it was a little pricey. I loved the lobster and shrimp risotto which was the risotto of the day for $33. My husband had a pasta special with boar meat for $19 and it was ok but kind of bland and not very filling. They provide bread olive oil and parmesan cheese with your meal.
Always an enjoyable time
Server Tiffany knew everything about the menu from food to wine. The food was exceptional. We made so many substitutions and they followed through with all of them without a blink of an eye. I will definitely be a regular!!!
I never have felt so welcome into a professional establishment as I have been coming to you guys in years!
Always wonderfully prepared food with a nice bottle of wine & very attentive wait staff
So disappointing this time. The wine glasses were very crude and more like water tumblers. Need to get better serving dishes and glasses.
Second time here! It was as good as first time! Outstanding service and food was very good! Nice to see a good Italian restaurant in downtown Wheaton doing so well! Highly recommend it. Family owned and the Italian Mother is the Chief! They make you feel at "home"!
So good! Best gnocchi! Great vodka sauce. Great service. One of our favorite places!
Great food and service, with lots of fresh, authentic specials. We are repeat customers and will be back again. A bit noisy when full, but to be expected.
I wish I could recommend this restaurant, as I was looking forward to going, driven by the glowing reviews. To start with the positive, we did have very good service here. The waitress we had was very attentive and caring. We got there, seated on the rooftop. It probably looks better in the summer, but even then, the setup was...ok. If it didn't look nice, I was really excited for the food. There are so many glowing reviews about their food. We got the mixto appetizer. It was overly sweet, but the seafood was nicely grilled. The main entrees of cavatelli and veal saltimboca left so much more on the table. They were not good. The veal dish was overly salty, and the cavatelli was bland, few cherry tomatoes in sight. We left very underwhelmed. I'm not sure what food all the glowing reviews were referring to, but I'd rather drive another 2 hours to find a place than spend the money here again. There are plenty of other wonderfully delicious Italian restaurants in the Chicago area. You might do your party a favor to avoid this one.
