    Exceptional service and very patient with us as we changed our mind on sitting out on the patio during a windy day. They helped celebrate my parents 45th anniversary and made it so special. All staff were extremely cheerful and responsive to all our requests during our visit. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and very filling.

    Young man who greeted us at the door was amazing & very hospitable, helpful. Our table attendant was Emily & she was totally fantastic -- extremely attentive, accommodating, friendly totally focused on pleasing her customers. We loved her. Food was very disappointing. I started with the Apple & Onion soup, it was delicious. I ordered the Cobb salad. It came as a very small portion....NOTHING in comparison to the Cobb salad offered at another local, popular restaurant which was only half the price. Sole Cobb salad consisted mostly of Kale, only ONE hard boiled egg halved & that had pieces of egg shell stuck to it which I found in my mouth upon biting down on it. My friend ordered coffee which came as only half a small cup at a cost of $4. (she'd need to write her own review) My Creme Brulee was very tasty. Over-all the quality & quantity of food served in no way justified the price. What I enjoyed most about the entire meal was my friend & our table attendant, Emily. When discussing my visit there with another friend I learned that she had gone to Sole years ago but was never inclined to go back there due to most of the reasons I outlined here in this review.

    On the past I have always enjoyed Sole and found their service and food to be excellent. The last two times, it’s been poor. I had their sweet potato lasagna which was not cooked through and was cold and hard in the middle. This time has their lobster & shrimp Alfredo linguine which was oddly sweet as sugar had clearly been added to the sauce. Not great. And our server wasn’t around. No drink refills and had to ask when our mains were coming as we had well finished the appetizers. Arrived at 6:45 and didn’t have mains until 8:20pm :( I do love the atmosphere and location, but that was an expensive disappointment.

    This was our first time dining outside and had a perfect lunch - we asked if the outdoor heater could be turned down so temperature was perfect, it felt quite private as the overall noise level is low and there isnt a prettier patio. Service was friendly and impeccable -and the food was exceptional as always. I look forward to our next visit.

    My wife had two apps: a Caesar salad and plate of three scallops with a saucy compote of double smoked bacon, mushrooms, roasted garlic and cream. She asked for the scallops to be cooked all the way through, and that's just how they arrived. She was very happy with the dish and its presentation. The Caesar salad was not as tasty as it has been on past visits, and she said she would be unlikely to order it again in future. I ordered the pan-seared North Atlantic salmon, which was served with a spicy macadamia nut crunch. The flavour was delightful, adding just enough spicy heat and crunchiness to complement the delicate and delicious meat, which was done so perfectly that I wondered if it might have been cooked sous vide (my preferred method at home) before being finished with the searing in the hot pan. The dish was presented with chilled snap peas in a yogurt sauce, grilled peaches & purple "potato salad." The peaches were an excellent addition to the plate, adding smooth sweetness to the already beguiling combination of salmon and spicy crunch. The chilled peas likewise added dimension—their chilled coolness pleasantly offset the thermal heat of the salmon and the spicy heat of the nut-crunch, but the peas themselves were bland to nearly tasteless, and the yogurt dressing seemed diluted until it had lost the yogurty tang I was expecting. And the "potato salad" was a couple of purple new potatoes, halved and tossed in an oil. They were OK, but to call this a "potato salad" was stretching the definition. We ate on the outdoor patio, which was charming and surprisingly intimate, with abundant leafy cover. It was getting chilly, but there were space heaters in the area that took the edge off any chill we might otherwise have felt. We were just near enough to the edge of the awning that we had a few large leaves fall on us. Overall, I would have scored this visit to Solé a 4.5/5, but the scoring template doesn't seem to offer half-stars, so I awarded the full five.

    We ordered one of the specials (arctic char) and beef short ribs. The fish was overcooked and dry as was the beef. The fish came with one slice of carrot and one spear of asparagus (both essentially raw). The only plus was the scallop and crab cake appetizers.

    I was there for a 2nd date with a new lady friend. I've been to Sole numerous times and she had been there once before. The food was excellent! I truly love mussels and the mussels in a curry broth were over the top! My date had the pear salad with chicken. Her salad came with feta cheese on the top which she didn't want. No issue, the waiter returned with even a larger portion, sans the cheese.

    This is my third time at Sole. I had made a reservation for 4 ppl and changed it to 5 ppl on arrival. The hostess had to call the manager though the restaurant was only half filled. They made it seem like it was an inconvenience. I think a warm welcome and being accommodating might provide customers with a better overall experience. The food is always good and the ambiance is nice.

    Every single thing we ate was outstanding. The appie was delicious and not too big, everything on my entree was cooked perfectly, even the after dinner coffee was flawless. Outstanding experience.

    Service was excellent. We were greeted promptly and with a genuine smile. Didn’t feel to be rushed out of the restaurant, as we were engaged in conversation vs looking what we wanted to order or drink. Very satisfied and wanted to thank each of the staff evolved with our experience.

    Been going to Sole for years. Unfortunately, I think it is on the decline. Menu has not changed in years. Bread no longer provided. Service was inexplicably slow. It's unfortunate because I would like the restaurant to continue to thrive.

    Greeters very welcoming. Wait server very pleasant. Good service. Enjoyed the ambience of the patio. When we requested additional 2 seatings there was no problem filling that request. Very good food. If I had to criticize, the schnitzel was a bit overdone.
