Solé Restaurant and Wine Bar is situated in a 150 year old Seagram’s building, minutes west of the Waterloo Uptown Core. The interior soars two stories high to a timber frame ceiling, exposed brick and generous wood finishes, set the tone for an elegant yet casual experience.

    Nice place,...was a quiet night. Food was good, very good selections on menu, portions seemed a bit small on entrees especially for the prices these days but no one went home hungry...staff were all courteous and nice. Would return again.

    The sweet potato lasagna was so unusual and delicious! The server was very sweet. I don’t usually have dessert but I was told their crème brûlée was the best and it didn’t disappoint. So nice that they have a mini one as well! Great experience! Will come again.

    I love sole restaurant. But my last visit was very disappointing I ordered the scallops which I love but there were less scallops and very little . I mentioned this to the waitress she abruptly told me that’s what you get. The waitress never checked on me, didn’t bring the ketchup I requested. When I requested the bill she abruptly said the machine was broken so would be a while I totally understand that. But she was the coldest waitress I have ever had at sole.

    We went for lunch, after picking up our daughter from Waterloo, it was on a Saturday and the noise level was low, perfect for conversation and the service is always so nice and friendly. The food was tasty. I am told on Sunday you better have a reservation!

    Tyler was our server, and he was wonderful! Very attentive, even offered us a larger coffee mug when we where there for brunch. Sole's Eggs Benedict is the best in town. Service is always outstanding, staff is friendly and very accomodating, food is top tier!

    Food was good. The scallops were very good, especially liked the sauce. We were pleasantly surprised to have the Caesar salad split so we could share. The tenderloin didn’t seem to be the best quality; we actually wondered if it was sirloin instead. Service was mostly good but we had to wait a very long time to get our bill when it was very clear we were finished, had declined dessert and our drinks were finished. Would give it another try as our experiences there have always been good. This time it wasn’t quite up to par but still very enjoyable

    Our evening was enjoyable. There were 2 surprises, both coming from the Valentine’s Day menu posted on the Solé website - both the price and some of the menu items were different. It was only after we got home that we noticed that the menu posted on the website was dated Feb 24, 2020. For our table of 3, this made a difference of $75 + tax & gratuity (over $100), ??????

    Food and ambiance great as usual. However service was under any comment. Waiter could not get simply instructions and doesn't leasen or care what are clients needs and requests. I asked no ice for Sangria because my wife has a laryngitis and the drink came full of ice. I asked no source on my snitzel and it came with source. I am not sure is ignorance or something else. No apologies from the management what so ever, contrary staff rolling eyes. Very disappointed

    Went with three other friends for a birthday and a special gathering, and as always had a great time. What’s awesome is that no matter when you go Sole’s service is always top notch, and you can be confident that anything in the menu is always good. Just one of those great restaurants!
