Solé Restaurant and Wine Bar is situated in a 150 year old Seagram’s building, minutes west of the Waterloo Uptown Core. The interior soars two stories high to a timber frame ceiling, exposed brick and generous wood finishes, set the tone for an elegant yet casual experience.

The menu will transport your palate to the Mediterranean. Items ranging from thin crust pizza, pastas, vegetarian entrees, steaks, and seafood will satisfy any appetite.         I used to eat here fairly frequently but haven't been in for a couple of years. It certainly won't be at the top of my list for future lunches. The soup was very good but the rest of the meal was disappointing (lobster roll). Lunch for 2 with no alcohol or dessert was almost $100. Much better value elsewhere Uptown!

        Our service and food were fine, but we were put in a "back room" which was not what we like when we go out. We like to be with more people. Yes we do like Sole and will ask re our location the next time.

        The food was truly excellent. Myself and my girlfriend enjoyed the charcuterie board in addition to two of the pasta dishes. Service was prompt for a busy night, with our server being polite, informative and helpful throughout our dining experience. I highly recommend Solé!

        Mains were delivered before our salad, when questioned, were told, brusquely, by a different server " yeah, there on there way". Our server was surprised by this happening. We were asked, almost in passing, if we wanted dessert and, after receiving the menu were left for a ridiculous amount of time before asking if we wanted anything. At that point, we didn't.

        Our overall experience was good but felt it wasn't as good as in the past. Menu seemed limited but the food was delicious. No toilet paper in the washroom stall was disappointing and frustrating. Maybe it was because we haven't been out alot since Covid but we felt the tables were very close together.

        Everything was delicious, and our server was great. It was just unfortunate that our outdoor table wasn't ready at our booked time and we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated.

        The food and atmosphere were wonderful. We were seated on the patio next to the water feature, which was the perfect setting for Sunday brunch. The food was delicious and plated beautifully.

        We enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day lunch on Sunday afternoon. There was an interesting variety of options and everything we had was absolutely delicious. Sole is in my top three local favourites. Their food is yummy (good sized portions) and the servers are always kind, attentive and helpful. We’ll be back soon. 🙂

        It was a lovely place to celebrate Mother's Day with a prix fixe menu. My mom had a hard time hearing,,,I think the back room we were in had hard surfaces and there were lots of folks chatting. the Servers were very polite,,,we waited a bit for food, but it was a full restaurant on Mother's Day, so understandable. We enjoyed our food very much, and even took some home with us as the portions were generous. Quite pricy, but it's a special occasion.

        It was a lovely lunch, scallops and pasta. I was out on the patio but felt quite cool as heaters weren’t near me. They graciously moved me inside to a nice table there.

        Two of us were celebrating a birthday. The food was excellent, especially the Caesar salad. I had the luncheon salmon entree and my son had the steak. Both were delicious.

        Sole's lunch service game is strong! Quick to order and for food to arrive. We had a variety of orders and everyone was pleased - steak sandwich, pear salad, penne carbonara, squash pakora. In particular, our server was very kind and helpful for my elderly mom and visitors from Europe.

        The first was to be seated at a tiny table with lots of traffic of waitresses even though we made a reservation in advance. The food was high priced and not great flavour, we were hungry so we ate it. The only thing that hit the mark was the Caesar salad. Our waitress was not friendly and took a very long time to get to our table for every step of service - even though she walked by our table many times. We did not enjoy this experience.

        I had the BRAISED BEEF SHORT RIB BOURGUIGNON, and my wife had the SWEET POTATO LASAGNA. Both were exceptional. We highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you for a great evening.
