   It was empty at 6pm on a Friday night... that should have been our sign! We have a lot of dietary restrictions, and the waitress honestly didn't know the difference between a gluten allergy & a dairy allergy. YIKES. The chef came out to talk with us, but had to significantly modify dishes to fit our needs. The fries were clearly frozen, and veggies lacked luster. But the meats were superbly cooked and delicious. Summary: Great chef at an empty restaurant= not worth the HUGE price tag.

   Hard working staff got the job done perfectly even without enough hands to help. Kitchen turned out excellent food in timely fashion. We had seafood dishes. Prepared perfectly. Minor note the slaw was too bitter.

   We were very satisfied. It’s open for lunch on Saturday. The burgers we ordered were excellent. He had an IPA beer; I had wine. We both had coffee. It was a little pricey but for no rush and an atmosphere to talk it was excellent.

   We were there for a 5:30 reservation but the place was empty (and stayed mostly empty) which may be saying something in itself. With an already limited menu, one of the two soup offerings was not available, the meals overall were not cooked well in that the proteins were all overcooked and dry. The server was covering all positions and although very pleasant it was clear he didn’t have training in fine dining. It’s sad that a place that was once one I would look forward to for an indulgent meal is no longer going to be an option for me.

   Very limited menu with no daily specials. Main courses with ala cart selections of vegetables. Service was slow as bartender also served as waiter. Very few customers in restaurant. While I understand a new chef is on board, I think the overall menu needs to be significantly revised to attract customers. Very expensive for what we received.

   Our server was very friendly and attentive which was the best part of our meal. However, the food was truly disappointed especially given the price tag. The food was not only of mediocre quality but was not well prepared at all. Very bland, ordinary food that lacked innovation and seasoning. The food was much like something one would get in the 70s. Not worth the price tag and we definitely expected more given the ambience and wine display which was actually quite impressive

   Unfortunately, food was not good enough and Menu was too limited. We should wait more than 30 min for Antre, etc. Server was good but desert was only one. That was very old chocolate cake with frosting.

   Sonoma has always been a "destination" restaurant for special occasions. Unfortunately, this experience did not live up to our expectations. The food was just OK--nothing special--nor anything to bring us back. I understand the challenges the restaurant industry is going through--and we were told there was just 1 chef on duty. Still, the "grilled feta" was just a slice of cold feta--not grilled as advertised. My entree was way over-salted. The glass of wine was less than half full. There was only 1 dessert choice available--my wife & I both ordered it...what came to the table was 1 dessert with 2 spoons. Our server did the best he could under the circumstances, and was pleasant & helpful throughout the meal. Overall, the $162.00 we paid for 1 appetizer, 2 entrees, 1 dessert,1 cocktail, 2 glasses of wine, 1 cup of coffee (regular ordered, decaf served) was excessive for the quality. What once was an exceptional dining destination is now just a mediocre hotel restaurant.

    We had been to Sonoma a number of times in Princeton, but this was the first time at the Beechwood Hotel in Worcester. There was really only 1 waitperson for the whole restaurant. She did her valiant best, but clearly a need for more staff. My wife had the pork chop with a side of sweet potatoes. The sweet potatoes were unedible. I've made sweet potatoes plenty of times, and this was just not good. We did get broccoli to replace it. My statler chicken was OK. Size of the chicken was small. We will go back again as we support local restaurants, but there are plenty of other good restaurants in Worcester which come to mind and Sonoma needs to step its game up.

    Everything was absolutely phenomenal - from the delicious food and handcrafted cocktails, to the impeccable service, to the stunning outdoor patio and gardens. We started with the Grilled Feta and the combination of figs, pistachios, and feta was perfect. I have never seen charcoal crackers before, but they were delicious! Our entrées were flawless and made to perfection, the statler chicken was succulent and beautifully flavored and my friend’s filet was cooked perfectly. Our server, Adam, was wonderful and very attentive. Incredible experience from start to finish. If you’re looking for an extraordinary experience with fabulous food, drinks, service, and ambiance, I highly recommend Sonoma.

    Our server, Adam, was great and his drinks were good. We arrived at 4 for an early dinner so the dining room was empty, but the food was phenomenal, especially the filet mignon.

    Service was very very slow but good. Food is way overpriced for what you are getting. Little imagination when it came to using seasonal produce. Steaks were well over done or had just been left on the warmer too long

    Waited 45 min. to order. Finally had to flag down the one waitress who was trying to manage all the tables on Mother’s Day. We had reservations but there was no hostess and no one checking reservations. We were told to just find a seat. Food was OK. This used to be one of the best restaurants in the city. Beautiful place and atmosphere. Very sad to see it how it is now.

    The Belgian Waffle looked like a sad Eggo waffle. The pancakes were thin and dry around the edges. The home fries were tasty but very few on the plates. The bacon was good. The server didn’t ask how everything was until the check was brought. The Saturday morning breakfast at 8:30 was super quiet as there was only one other table in the entire restaurant.

    Decent food--small portions. Very unsatisfactory service. Marguarita arrived salted as opposed to clear perference for sugared rim; steak was delivered without steak knife (had to wait 10 minutes and ask twice for it to eventually appear!); dinner wine was brought to table 20 minutes after dinner was served; wine was not offered for tasting, just poured and the server departed. Wine had gone sour and was undrinkable. Will not return to this over-priced restaurant.

    The risotto truffle was delicious, but the quinoa that came with the halibut had no taste or salt. The creme brulee was good. Overall a good dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Our server was professional and kind.

    This experience was one of the worst I’ve ever had the restaurant was awful I felt like I was in a coffin. The food was terrible, our wait person was great. And this is the first time I have ever been told at 8 o’clock that the kitchen was about to close so we had to hurry and we could not even have dessert I will never ever go back to this place again nor will I ever recommend it it was terrible

    I took three clients for a breakfast meeting, all business and community leaders and was so pleased with the attentive and impeccable service we received from Denise. Everyone loved their breakfast. One person enjoyed the Eggs Benedict, two people enjoyed omelets, and my poached eggs were perfect. The fruit was fresh and delicious and the coffee was flavorful and kept coming. Thank you for your hospitality.

    This place ended up being a real disappointment. It looks like a high-end restaurant and your expectation is that the food will match the decor. Unfortunately, it does not. Not one of the meals we ordered among our group was considered good. The food, every dish we ordered, was either bland or over-sauced. I ordered a chicken piccata that arrived with no capers and had absolutely not a hint of lemon in the minimal flavor the dish had, no resemblance to the classical dish. Pasta was overcooked as well. The lobster ravioli was two-tone with squid ink, a beautiful presentation had it not come doused in an over-abundance of sauce. Not to mention, it was to be served in an ala vodka cream sauce and came to the table blood red. The truffle risotto was equally bland and disappointing. Skip this place, too many good restaurants nearby to waste your time or money here.

    Everything was way too slow. Server either couldn’t be bothered or was overwhelmed. Forgot my husband’s beer, forgot my kid’s to-go food. Entrees took over 1.5 hours to prepare. Drinks took forever. My filet came out lukewarm and pre-sliced? Never seen that before. Over all, meal was over $200 and held us captive for over 2 hours. I understand the labor shortage will warrant longer wait times, but have the wait be at the door, not once you’re seated. If you’re going to choose to be open with a higher than average price point, make sure your service can deliver on the promise implied with the hefty price. Or at least have your server trained to acknowledge, apologize, & accommodate for the astronomical kitchen times. Not to remain hidden unless apathetically delivering the occasional forgotten drink.

    Three for lunch. See it immediately when we arrived. Very few people in the restaurant on a Sunday at 1 p.m.. mostly boobs. Tables all taken. Hostess accommodated our seating request for distancing from others. Water immediately served. Request for drinks immediate. Order taken in a timely way. One person had a salad with salmon. The other chicken piccata over pasta and the third steak.frites. no Desserts ordered. Food was good and well prepared. Outstanding service. Very quiet which we had hope for because we had a reunion with someone after not seeing them for forty years. Everything was very clean

    Disappointing dinner. We were so looking forward to a special dinner here to celebrate our anniversary. We were seated at a nice table and we were pleased with the overall ambience and service. The calamari was very good as were the cocktails. however, we both ordered a rib eye steak dinner and this should have been the highlight but it was not. The flavor was very good but our dinners took much longer than we expected, which would have been fine except that they were served lukewarm. We ate about half of our dinner and decided to stay for coffee and dessert anyway. The tiramisu was tasted like it had been frozen and recently thawed. Overall we had hoped for an excellent experience, but this left us regretting that we had such high expectations that were just not met.

    Very disappointed with this restaurant. There were bees that kept swarming us, this was inside. The manager and waitress tried to capture them and were disruptive while we were trying to eat lunch. It took forever to bring our food which was just okay.

    No one greeted us at the hostess station. One of the wait staff finally seated us. It took some time before the waitress assigned to us took our drink order. It was a long time before 2 iced teas arrived. After taking our lunch order, again, a long delay before the soup arrived. The soup was supposed to be Chicken Lemon Rice. There was no rice and the soup was salty. It took a long time for our meals to arrive. There were 2 sandwiches ordered and neither of them came with the bread described on the menu. Both came with white bread instead and neither had the dressing described on the menu. The third entree was as described, and the fries were hot, but the meat was tepid. I would not return for lunch. It was a disappointing and expensive (over $80 for two sandwiches, 1 soup, 2 iced teas and steak frites). They have done much better in the past. I know all the restaurants are struggling, but it may be better to close for lunch rather than disappoint patrons. Lastly, the city of Worcester has an indoor mask mandate, and one of the restaurant staff members did not wear a mask the entire time we were there.

    This Saturday evening was our first date night in quite a while, and we wanted to try something new. The restaurant was relatively quiet - 1 or two tables indoors and 3 outside…slow night, so quiet dining. We sat outside - nice weather and a nice table on the patio. We both ordered braised short ribs for an entree, one with carrots and one with sautéed garlic spinach, both with mashed sweet potato. The entree was “good”. The short ribs were tender and well-prepared. What was lacking for the price point was anything that made the meal distinctive - a sauce, seasoning…anything to lend it any kind of a signature taste beyond being some nicely-prepared meat and potatoes. The entree also didn’t have any of the typical while-you-wait trimmings like bread or a side salad, so without an appetizer, we were left to sip our drinks while the meal got put together. (Fortunately, the company and conversation were top-notch at our little table.). The lounge music playing over the speakers practically had us looking around for people wearing satin paisley and bellbottoms…kind of comical. Having a rare date just-the-two-of-us was memorable, but I can’t say that Sonoma added much to it.
