We had a lovely experience at SOPA. We were the only guests on a Sunday evening which was a bit odd, but was neat to have the restaurant to ourselves. Food was great and I’d definitely consider another visit during my next trip to PSP.

The best experience at a Palm Springs restaurant that I can remember having. The staff are lovely, service was outstanding, and the food was superb. Would highly recommend. Its just lovely.

We had Thanksgiving here about five years ago and we really loved it. This year was different Ambiance and service still good but the food was mediocre. The turkey was dry , salad too simple, my after dinner coffee was cold. We have stayed a lot at the hotel during covid and the food was good, I don't know what happened , little dissappointed,

Great place for dinner. I wish the menu was a little bit larger; but what they do have on the menu is presented quite nicely. It is out of much higher price point than most restaurants in Palm Springs, but it also is a much better restaurant than most in the immediate area

We spent the eve of our wedding at SOPA and it did not disappoint! The drinks were great, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was so romantic. Thank you to everyone at SOPA and the Hermann/L’Horizon team who made it extra special.

My bestie took my to So.Pa for my Birthday. The service is impeccable! Not only friendly and welcoming, very knowledgeable on the menu and wine list. They even brought me a surprise dessert! Will go again.

We went to SoPa to celebrate mine and my husbands birthday which are on the same day and the actual day we went to the restaurant. The hotel and restaurant was aware of our celebration. Our reservation was at 7:30pm, we were sat right away and the restaurant had may open tables. The lighting is VERY dark. No lights in the center of th restaurant, we couldn’t read the menu or see our food that eventually came. The initial service was quick. We received our drinks and appetizer quickly. Appetizer was very greasy (bacon and onion tartlet) my husband couldn’t eat it. Around 8:30ish, our drinks had been empty a while and not follow up, then the waitress said she checked and our food will be out shortly. Did not ask if we wanted another drink. We did not receive our meal until after 9pm. And that was when Kelley (the manager) offered complimentary drinks. We finished our food and was finally offered a dessert menu which we declined as it was approaching 10pm. There was no mention of our birthday at all. The manager did give a credit on our bill for the inconvenience. The meals were two stars at best. My risotto was very crunchy. We go to Palm Springs VERY often and was hoping to come back but I don’t think we will or recommend this place.

Opening month of the new season. Been many times. Everything amazing as usual except the steak which was ordered medium rare came back medium+, and luke warm. They offered another which by the time it arrived my wife had finished her dinner so we took mine home in a box.

SO.PA had just opened for the season, was rather quiet. Food was outstanding, including Fritto misto, tuna carpaccio, duck raviolini, filet migon and chocolate tartlet. Service was friendly and professional. Beautiful setting.Expensive but worth it.

Our first dining experience charmed the socks off us, Contessa at the front lead us through the Hotel Lobby to the restaurant. The space is elevated chic, perfect lighting, stunning trees and nicely spaced tables. We sat in a booth and instantly were tended to by Kelly, Colton and Rachel who are long time employees and it shows. We ate the little gem salad the perfect palate cleanser, the filet mignon served by chef and the boneless ribs. Stunningly executed in presentation, preparation and seasoning. We finished with the Milk Chocolate Tart - superb. The wine list is extensive and we will be back.

SO.PA was absolutely fantastic and I highly recommend it. Everything was spot on from the gracious greeting at the hotel when we arrived for dinner, to the beautiful setting and perfect table, to the lovely and attentive service, and top notch food and cocktails. It was a great dining experience and we look forward to dining at SO.PA next time we visit Palm Springs. The staff are wonderful and the chef is very creative. Loved it!

It was virtually empty during the week when we came for dinner. It was the off-season though, so it was to be expected. The patio is really beautiful and despite how empty it was the food was excellent. We had a few appetizers and shared the duck confit and the braised short ribs. Both were memorably good. Our cocktails were well-balanced and strong. Very expensive restaurant but delicious.

I think the menu item I selected, as well as the menu item the person I was dining with, was pre-cooked and then warmed before being served to us. There was a water feature near our table that attracted mosquitos. There was a lovely heat lamp just above our table, but it was turned on in 100 degree weather (why?) we had to ask our server to turn it off. The value for money spent is not there.

The price is just not worth it. Party of 2. Atmosphere is nice but the staff were not friendly or accommodating. No one checked in on us once to see how the food was or if we wanted to order another drink, it was always us flagging someone down. The food was very overpriced for what it was worth. Simply not worth the time or expense.

Valet great!! Greeted by our server. Ordered drinks/apps. They came quick. We had read reviews ahead of time and wanted to confirm suspicions about service. CONFIRMED! After apps our server disappeared. Place was full when we arrived. After 45 mins and seeing three tables get their food and finish it there was us and another table of 5. They were already done eating. No server anywhere. Finally a man came out. I flagged him down and asked about our food. “It’ll be out right away” 10 mins later another man. “Hi excuse me can we get some service?” His response “with what?” We were all out of drinks! I said also, when will our food be out? “Very soon” Food arrives. 3 Wagu burgers 2 trouts. Trout amazing!! Plates blazing hot from the heat lamps. Wagu had gone from medium to beyond well under the heat. Still good to an extent. Sides and apps great! Cocktails great! Get the bill, pay, then head a few of us head to the restroom. The other overhear and see the waitstaff talking about us. Rolling eyes and basically treating us like garbage. One turns around and spots us looking at them. They all split up…..very disappointing. This is a cool atmosphere but there are certainly better places in Palm Springs. Unlike other comments I saw, our party did not have any issues with the service. However, there food was not worth the price. Additionally, as sat under a tree that had leaves falling into our food and drinks the whole time.

Beautiful setting but I was not impressed with the food. The gem lettuce salad was the best thing we had and they should warn you ahead of time that the burger ($36) is a “wet” burger that comes floating in a sauce. Overall not worth the prices.

We had to wait over 45 mins for our table even with our reservation, they did not comp our drinks and barely apologized for the wait. Besides that dinner was great, wonderful space, good drinks, and service. But it is hard to fill endorse a place of this level that had such a long wait and we had to follow up for the table, they kind of forgot about us.

The service the ambience amazing. The food…not great. Gougeres were tough and stale. Meatballs were tough. Pork spare ribs were ok. Citrus salad had lemon slices in it (sour!). So not great. The burger got good reviews from one of our guests. Depending on your table, the season you visit in, what you order, and the server ….this can either a great restaurant or below mediocre. I wish they would simplify the foods out of the kitchen and focus on taste versus complicated adjectives on the menu.
