It was a very busy Friday night so maybe that’s why the food wasn’t great. I ordered fish tacos and the fish was room temperature and the slaw seemed to only be cabbage thrown on the wrap. My daughter ordered beef nachos and they were dry with very little cheese.

My wife and I eat here often and this evening we brought along friends. Everything was great and we had a fun time. Server Ashley was patient, kind and friendly and had a very refreshingly positive attitude. More need to be like her. Thanks for a fun night.

This was my first visit to Sopapillas, and I was NOT disappointed! The cocktails were divine, and the food was delicious! Large portions and fresh ingredients! Our server was so kind and attentive! I will definitely recommend to friends and family and will be back soon for another meal!

We were disappointed that we could not have a vacant table outside...we saw several other people get seated in the outside area immediately after we were told the manager hesitated to seat us outside due to possible weather. Very noisy inside. They were seated with the color of umbrella for Sopapillas!

Service was not good... very slow (not sure if COVID related or not). Heard on waiter being somewhat rude to couple behind us. Food was OK, but not outstanding. Used to be excellent -- not sure what has changed. We ate outdoors and enjoyed that.

We were disappointed in the food especially for the price we paid. The Quesadilla Del Mar was too fishy. It taste spoiled. We should have sent it back. The Steak fajitas were very chewy and lacked flavor. The Guacamole was tasty. The Brisket tacos were very good. The Brisket queso was good, but hard to break the brisket up, therefore not easy to dip chips in it. This Hisbicus Margarita and Sweet Heart Margarita were both very good. The Green Chile Pineapple Margarita was a little bland.

I have been a fan of Sopapillas for quite awhile and have always enjoyed the food. This time was an exception as I ordered the lobster taco and it was dry over cooked and not good at all. Another person in our group ordered it as well and agreed that it lacked the quality expected especially at the price. I would suggest ordering something different.

They advertise themselves as a new Mexican food restaurant. I am from NM and can honestly say they would go out of business calling this New Mexican food. In all fairness, they probably have to make some changes to accommodate the local palate, but the chile was not close to spicy any the queso dip had corn and black beans in it. Ugh! The most authentic thing about this restaurant is the sopapilla's.

45 minutes from ordering to being served what was thoroughly mediocre faux-mexican food that cost $80 for a party of three with two glasses of wine and no other drinks. Waitress was nice and reasonably attentive but no explanation for why it took that long to get an order of tacos, an order of tamales, and a salad. The tamales were more like enchiladas. The only explanation for the rating this place receives is the generally weak roster of decent restaurants in Williamson County. Drive a few minutes up the road to Nashville or save 50% and eat at Chili's.

From the moment we sat it took over 5 mins for our server to greet us. The menus was covered in food crumbs and the table candle light was broke and not been clean in days. So it left the impression that what else could be so dirty that you may not want to eat here...Then it proceeded with taking over 25 mins for a 2 drinks(that had apparently been sitting at the bar for pickup) to be delivered. Appetizers took entirely too long to arrive (30 mins) as well as our entrees...Food was excellent. Once we were done with our meals the check was presented. Never once were our dishes cleared before or after payment...As I mentioned the food was excellent, but the service as well as the hostess could use more training. Not sure if I would return due to the cleanliness and service. Very disappointing.

Went on a Saturday afternoon, wasn't too busy. Had a reservation as well. It was a hot day, and inside was cooler but stuffy and we were getting a little clammy during our visit and needed to fan ourselves...maybe they didnt have the AC on. Would have been more enjoyable if it had been cooler. We had margaritas, IPA on tap and the paloma (which wad excellent & refreshing!). Ordered the guacamole which is always fresh, chipotle salsa was right on and chips fresh and hot. Salads are always a good go too, as well as the blue corn chicken tacos...the best so far out of all the tacos Ive tried so far. Service was friendly and attentive. Background music was cool, but a tad loud and at points hard to hear the other person talking without elevating your voice some...maybe it was where our table was. Overall we love Sopapilla's and havent been let down yet.
