Everything was very good!! Service a bit slower than usual, but it was a very full restaurant.
The whole family went to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We had a wonderful meal.
Excellent as always!
Love this restaurant. Wonderful oysters. Everything I have ever ordered there is always so yummy
A great restaurant with great food and attentive service.
This was my second time here. I have to say I was disappoInted.
Oysters are a $1 each so I ordered half a dozen oysters which were extremely tiny and not a lot of texture - you get what you pay for.
The steak tartare needed some flavouring or additional sides....too plain. Basically ground meat with a quail egg on top.
Had the special appetizer of burrata on heirloom tomatoes - tomatoes were hard and burrata was ok.
The bread is delicious.
Service was excellent and lovely decor but definitely on the noisy side.
Prices are high for what I had -above plus 1/2 litre of least expensive wine came to $104 including a proposed 20% tip included. Not outrageous but certainly on high end and given quality, a bit disappointing.
I went with a girlfriend for the $1 oysters - which is great that they offer this every day! Also got the grilled baby octopus which was delicious served on a nice salad with beans and tomatoes. The servers are very professional and attentive. Everything about tonight’s experience was great.
A disappointing experience. Mediocre food and pretentious service.
All dinners at the table were amazing. A very enjoyable evening.
Two of us went for the buck a shuck oysters and wine. Also shared a plate of pasta and salad. Overall, everything was very good. This is my second time there. I'd go back
It was a wonderful restaurant in all categories and we would recommend it without hesitation.
Barry is a great server and always makes us feel at home!
The fried chicken entree is out of this world
Excellent food and service in a classic fine dining setting.
Always a Favourite ~ Always a 5* Experience ~ But... you will likely Always Need A Reservation! Pre-Christmas dinner with friends. We started with 2 dozen Malpeque oysters - fresh and delicious. Branzino filet (special of the day), duck confit ("spectacular") and two potions of Veal Scaloppini. Wine ( a lovely, reasonably priced Cotes du Rhone), coffee and desert. Memorable. Noisy but festive.
Excellent as always.
Excellent branzino. Very good service. Vegatables could be better.
This is a wonderful restaurant in every way. The night we visited it was fully booked and, in my opinion, understaffed. Having said that, our waiter consistently stopped by to keep us updated on what was going on. We will be back soon!
We were first in and last out and enjoyed every minute. Wonderful atmosphere, service and especially food.
The menu is excellent and quality of food is superb. The wait staff are very good. Great meal experience.
Fantastic as always
Disappointed didn’t get bar seating as was reserved but it didn’t spoil the night
We were four people and had what I thought was the best table right at the back. Service and food were all great.
Great food & service . Celebrated a birthday
Great ambiance. Food was outstanding.
We were pleased with our evening. The restaurant was very busy and we had to wait for our table. The food was good and the wine very good, but expensive. If it wasn't for the wine (which we chose well aware of the price), the dinner would have been good value. There was a lot of noise, and for anyone with hearing impairment, it would have not been a good environment. On the other hand, if you wanted a lively place, this was it!
Great value in a comfortable attentive environment. Upscale room with $1 oysters. What’s not to like?
Service and food were excellent . They gave us our table late so sent Prosecco while we waited as well. Nice touch
Consistently fabulous! Great service, delicious food , interesting crowd and a good vibe. This is a professional team that never misses . Run don’t walk!
Noise level was moderate but acceptable before a table of 8 arrived, with 3 very loud guests, who were totally oblivious to other diners. Respite came only when the offenders left for a cigarette.
How can you fully appreciate Sorrel's excellent food and service when table conversation is all but impossible? This was not an isolated incident : at least half of my visits have been spoiled by inconsiderate and loud diners.
Recommending the restaurant to others must come with this caveat.
Loved our experience at Sorrel! We sat at the bar and enjoyed the friendly staff. The oysters were delicious! We also liked the crab cake (special) and the bouillabaisse was delicious! Highly recommend!!
We have dined at Sorrel many times since it opened but our most recent dinner there was the last.
After our previous dinner there, we felt that the quality was deteriorating and were not eager to return, but our fiends wanted to try it so we caved. First off, our table was on one side of the passage leading the the room on the north side of the restaurant and it is too narrow for the servers to pass through easily, so those seated on either side are bumped and disturbed regularly so things were on a downward spiral from the start.
My crab cake appetizer was a lukewarm greasy patty composed of mostly bread crumbs with a trace of crab. I had the whole fish for my main. It was dry and had a very mushy texture, and the accompanying rapini was lukewarm. The $10 side of fries was greasy and also not hot enough. My meal went back half eaten and nobody even noticed .
The server was sloppy when he ground pepper, and for all four of us more pepper landed on the table than on the food. He pour the wine with such a heavy hand that we thought that he either wanted to be done with pouring quickly, or to ensure that we were finished with it before our mains arrived and we would order another bottle.
As always, the noise level was such that conversation was challenging.
Always a pleasure!
Great food, great place
Great food and service
Watch for the wine list. There are prices for half bottles as well as bottles
We are from Montreal. We discovered Sorrell a few years ago when it was downtown Toronto. Since then, dining at Sorrell is a must for us every time we visit Toronto (about 2-3 times per year). the food is great, the service friendly and professional, and the decor and ambiance inviting. Keep it up and see you soon!
The Bouillabaisse is outstanding and wait staff are wonderful. Our waitress was exceptional
I loved the restaurant, the food was delicious and the service very attentive.
service was perfect. food choices great.
quality of food was excellent.

the noise level exciting. we didn't mind it.

Immaculate from the welcome to the food and the wine. Thanks to the team for making our dining experience always such a pleasure.
