   A very busy Sunday. I didn’t get the table I asked for already weeks ago, I really liked my server from Colombia but I didn’t like the atmosphere of the annex room and the not very good paint on the wall. Staff very nice food very good especially the duck confit Overall good experience.

   Always a wonderful night eating at Sorrel from the minute your greeted at the door , to being greeted by your server . Food is always very good, & hot , great choice of wines .

   Disappointing experience. I made a reservation a month in advance and noted that it was for a special occasion. However, upon arrival, I was placed at a bar table without any prior notice or even being asked whether I was okay with the change. I was later told that a private event was taking place in the main area, so regular guests were being moved aside. The bar seating was not only uncomfortable but also situated right by a busy service path, where staff were frequently walking back and forth behind me, clearly occupied with preparations for the private function. It made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. It was frustrating not to be informed ahead of time about the seating arrangement—it really affected what was meant to be an important day.

    Always great food and service! The noise level is off the charts, so keep that in mind if you are looking for a more intimate/romantic setting. Still, for a group of friends or a family gathering…it is a great choice. Try the oysters, steak tartar or the lobster ravioli. All amazing!
