This is of the few fine dining establishments left in Edmonton. They are the flagship of the Edmonton Sorrentino’s group of restaurants. Led by Executive Chef Alberto Alboreggia and Business Manager Michael Sayde this location never lets you down be it dinner reservations, special occasions, or a custom designed and catered event of any size. We continue to do them all. It is like eating in a family home with everything impeccable from your welcome through the service, quality of food and drink you choose to your farewell, often with carefully packaged left-overs to enjoy again at home. You will never be disappointed here.

Excellent staffing level, impeccable service, great personalities, outstanding flavours and presentation. We have not been there for about 10yrs and last night realized it is the full service, sophisticated restaurant we have personally been missing in downtown Edmonton. It will now be our dinner stop before every Winspear, Citadel production going forward.

This was an excellent place to bring friends from out of town. Fancy enough to ensure good food but not so fancy as to break the bank. It was nice comforting flavourful food with solid service.

Edmonton is no longer my home but there is comfrort and joy in "going home" to Sorrentino's Downtown. On this recent visit I erred in doing my OpenTable res. and cause some confusion. Sorrentino's Master Greeter and Gracious Host Michaelwas patient and understanding. The food, the service, the wine list and the general ambiance were all at their high standards. Thank you . Wednesday night spectacular- Garlicfest fundraiser for charity is always fantastic. Have a wonderful drink and appetizer before fresh pasta meal. Brought 15 guests back on Thursday and severely disappointing as almost everyone’s food came out cold. Waiter wasn’t seen for almost 10 minutes after he dropped off everyone’s food. Had to go and seek out pepper grinder on my own. Restaurant was almost completely empty. Not impressed. Ah well.

This Sorrentino's location is their flagship for a reason. Elevated service, delicious food, and a wonderful ambiance. I LOVE the maître d'! He is the cherry on top of the whole experience. Go there for the food, and enjoy the the whole experience. And if you can, get there during their garlic fest. OMG, black garlic is TO DIE FOR.

Saturday was our first time at the downtown Sorrentino's. Had requested a quiet table with comfortable seating, and we enjoyed the small booth. Dining at 5:30 pm "beats the rush" and ensures fast service and less hustle in the main dining room. Staff were very courteous and attentive; the food was exactly what we had ordered, and it came hot to the table. It's such a "golden nugget" to have just a three minute walk from the Winspear, which was next on our activities for that evening. A great start to a memorable 45th wedding anniversary!

Thought the special garlic cocktail I had was a bit pricey for $12:00. There was a huge ice cube in it and it seemed like a very small amount of liquor., but it was very tasty.
