We have been coming to the brunches for special occasions and enjoy it very much but wish that the eggs Benedict’s would be warm when refilled

Service was fantastic (thanks Melissa). Food was overpriced. Not sure how a restaurant doesn’t know the difference between tagliatelle and fettuccine?? But I guess you’re paying for the ambiance.

Great experience at Spencer's. My wife and I were with another couple for a late lunch. Excellent food, staff and overall experience. Our server was friendly, attentive but let us enjoy our lunch at a great pace. Not rushed and on point. Grilled Calamari was first rate as was the flatbread that we shared as an appetizer. Carrot cake, sorbets and chess cake all an excellent end to lunch. Only comment is that booths, while comfy, are a little dated. All that being said, I would definitely recommend to friends and would definitely go back.

Have been to Spencer’s several times and have never found fault with the staff - they’re always lovely, friendly and generally knowledgeable. The last times I’ve been, I was disappointed with some of the new menu items in the winter/early spring, but took my dad there for lunch this week and everything was on point. Not amazing, or mind blowing, but dependable and good - couple good food with the great service and terrific views/environment, it makes for an overall lovely experience. We had oysters to start (fresh my dad got the burger (it was good - not sloppy with toppings or sauces but patty could’ve have been juicier) and I had the lobster roll (we both thought it was excellent) - fries were great on both orders. For dessert we had the carrot cake (it was okay... fit the bill and wasn’t bad, but not necessarily memorable - except for the delicious sugar and spiced crispy [fried/baked?] carrot ribbons on top, YUM!) and our server treated my dad to a “Happy Fathers Day” plate with a slice of the chocolate dessert (I’m not into chocolate so much but my dad enjoyed - said it was very rich). All in all a lovely lunch and will return again throughout the summer.

We were there as a party of 7 for a small celebration offer my daughter received her university degree. Restaurant was understaffed and lunch took more than 3 hours. 20 minutes from the time we ordered 2 beers until they were brought to the table. Most of the entrees were dry
Very disappointing

The horrendously expensive chicken sandwich should never have been served; served on Wonder Bread; what? a tiny bit of chicken..a thimble of bacon....for $19.00????? The Mgt. did take this charge off the bill after complaint...Thank You!
For the positive I have been twice to Spencers; the Wait Staff are Spectacular...Professional, Polite, Attentive...Bravo!!!

Lunch Menu could be expanded ...few choices...

We were seated at 5:30pm on a Sunday, and was given the bill 50 minutes later. We were in no rush but felt like we were being rushed out to over turn table. We ordered the 3 course meal that was delivered to us minutes within finishing previous plate. For what we paid, and the fact that we were celebrating an anniversary, we were unimpressed with how rushed we were in all aspects of the service. Server was nice and friendly, but the fact that we were in and out within 50 minutes while spending $120 on a 3 course meal (with drinks) - we are discouraged to return again. Left dissatisfied and will most likely not return.

This was my first time going to Spencer’s for Sunday brunch. The food and service was wonderful. They had an omelette station and a variety of seafood; salads, a wonderful prime rib and a wonderful dessert table. A wonderful restaurant on the water. Will definitely go back again

We came here for the Sunday Brunch for my mom’s birthday. Wow! I was really impressed by the service and the amazing quality of the food.

Oysters were shucked in front of you and the roast beef was cooked perfectly. The buffet area was never empty. To finish it all off, the brunch came with mimosas too ❤️
It was definitely worth the price and the hour drive.

I would recommend the Sunday brunch to anyone who would like food with an awesome view ❤️

Still the best spot around for Brunch. We were so lucky that Robert, our server, moved us outside following brunch - close to a heater & with blankets! - so we could stay & visit longer. Buffet tables are very congested - hard to get around by the carvery & salad area especially during the busy times.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The Brunches at Spencer’s are great, so we expected the dinner to be the same or better. The menu was very poor. Our reservation was for 8:30 so it wasn’t very busy, yet we waited over an hour for our dinner. The seafood pasta was dry, the scallops were the size of large peas and you have to look for the shrimp. The burger was shameful, the lobster was half mushy. Overall a terrible meal with an astronomical price tag, very over priced. Don’t know why this place is so popular and difficult for reservations, which is why we thought the reason for such a high demand would be the food., sorry, not the case. However our waiter did make an effort to attend to us, but the meal was awful.

Wonderful meal and service as always. The only item to comment was that they missed the clear note in our reservation about it being our anniversary. But we have had anniversaries at Spencer’s before and this was an anomaly I think.

Had dinner with visiting family member from the US. Location is great - waterfront...can't get better than that. Restaurant decor and lay-out...very good. Dinner menu selection and main special feature that evening was good. One suggestion is to enhance number of menu items a bit. Our final dinner order was good after going back and forth with our server a few times because as we selected the items, a few were no longer available by the time our server went back to the kitchen to place the order, only to be told that an item was no longer available. Nice gesture by the server (restaurant) to offer dessert and coffee on behalf of the restaurant because of the going back and forth of chosen dinner items that were no longer available. Service was superb! So, yes, I would recommend Spencer's to a friend and yes, I would go back.

The choice in seafood was excellent and the salmon, both smoked and fresh, was very tasty. The crepes were amazing and it was fun to watch them being made. Our waitress, Danielle, was most attentive and pleasant. We were not hurried at all and will definitely return at a future date.

I was celebrating my Birthday ( mark it on the Open Table reservation) tho I did not get any special gesture like a small cake or any dessert with a candle to make me feel special 😭as I experienced in other restaurants.
The oysters were Ok but not that fresh .
The front desk lady that seated us was not very friendly👎
My husband & I just came back from NYC so we are comparing the service & quality of top restaurants there.
The best part of the dining experience was seating on the patio overlooking the lake... enjoying the nice weather 😃

We went to Spencer’s on the Water Front on May 25th for my mother in laws birthday. The building & decor was stunning but unfortunately that’s about all we enjoyed. Our server was very nice but you could tell he was very busy and didn’t have much time to spend with us to discuss drinks or food. We think he may have been a bartender helping out one of the servers because he spent his whole evening behind the bar helping make drinks. The food was okay but nothing special and we waited a while before seeing it. There was a wedding going on and all you saw was the wedding guests hoarding the entrance, lobby & bar of the restaurant. We understand the wait due to the how busy it must have been with a full restaurant and a large wedding but we had an overall feeling of being last priority and noticed other guests might have been feeling the same. I believe a lot of this has to do with the wedding they had going on, but we will most likely not be returning.

The food, when it finally arrived, was good. We ordered from the daily specials - you would think that would be easy for them to serve. I asked our waiter ‘what’s happened with our meals’ - it was obvious that he woke up and didn’t realize he had not served them. What the heck ? ‘They are now plating it, it will be 3 minutes’ ( for the daily specials ?? Really? They arrived 14 minutes later.
This happened on our last visit and we gave the restaurant a second chance... their last chance with us. You failed on your recovery!!
To the mgmt - your staff is running around frantic in chaos and not focused - all of them. Trust me, I had a lot of time to watch them. It started with them leaving us at the door for 15 minutes on a booked reservation. I watched while we requested water three times for it to not be delivered to the table.
Fix the problem of wedding parties parading through the restaurant to use the washroom. Fix the bathroom problems. It was not cute, at all, when the two ring boys and flower girl ran hysterically through the restaurant unsupervised. Keep the venue and restaurant separate 100%. Close the doors to the restaurant so the venue space can hoot and yell all they want without impacting your dinning guests.
It’s a shame, because once our food arrived (45 minutes later), it was good. But it wasn’t a relaxing dinner, it wasn’t well served. .... and your staff was oblivious to the circus atmosphere. You guys used to be better than this.
