    We enjoyed Spin for another great holiday brunch. The atmosphere was a bit different this time due to a large number of hockey tournament visitors but it was another great brunch and we look forward to returning for Easter or Mother's Day!

    Love coming here for lunch. Have been twice with my infant daughter and have always felt welcome. Manager went out of his way to ensure that our daughter was enjoying herself. Love the quiche of the day! Always my favourite!

    When given cash for payment, the lady server asked if we needed change. I find that practice insulting. Considering the amount of the bill and the amount of cash given as payment, no change would have meant a tip of over 20 %. Why ask, simply give the change and let the customers decide how much they want to leave for tip. It would also be nice if the server would ask if she should bring separate bills instead of assuming that one bill would be OK. I hope I get a different server next time I visit Spin Kitchen.

    I was disappointed that Spins no longer offered their gourmet burger. However, the quiche and tomato/chickpea soup were both delicious, and service was prompt.

    Thus place I though would good. Since it was in the heart of Ottawa. Only decent thing I ate on the menu was lobster roll. I gave the place a couple trys. It was not worth it...tasteless and not anything worth the price. It seemed like no love put in and from a bag or freezer.

    One of the best happy hour deal in town. Convenient location. We had a good time and enjoyed the food/drinks from the happy hour and regular menus. Try the pork sliders if they are still on the menu! My friend's kid really enjoyed the kid's menu.

    My boss, a coworker and I had a semi-celebratory lunch here - our first time at this restaurant even though we work in the tower next door. Everything about this place was wonderful - the wine, an Ontario Chardonnay was chilled perfectly and tasted divine. The tomato and chickpea bisque was fresh and delicious and the Maritime lobster roll was perfect. Prices were way more reasonable than I was expecting and the portions were plentiful. My boss and I split the bisque as our waitress said it was a big portion and I'm so glad we did as even the split bowls were huge. I would recommend this for all occasions, service is quick and very friendly. Will plan more office events here in the future.

    We had only 1 hour to order and eat lunch and they delivered! Our group of 14 was in and out in under an hour! The Indian butter chicken was unbelievable - the best I ever had. So moist and creamy, and the naan was soft and crisp with just enough garlic. Drooling thinking about that meal! (I had the turkey club on cranberry raisin loaf the day before and it was good but nothing to write home about.) Great friendly service to top it off! Will be back no doubt on next trip to Ottawa!

    I love, love, love your Salad Nicoise. My friend was very happy to be able to choose her own salad ingredients and was very happy with the result. You are close by to my office and my first choice for lunch. Our server was amazing, so attentive but unobtrusive. We are both older women and very much appreciated not being called "dear". This happens a lot in restaurants and we both find it condescending. I always tip less with this happens. Just a word of note for your servers.

    There were three of us in our party and we all found our food to be quite good. It was not amazing, but as far as sandwiches go they were good. I had gluten free bread and found it to be better than average.

    Every time I travel to Ottawa for work, I stay at the Marriott to have dined at Spin many times. The food is always good and the service is always excellent. My only issue is that the food is a bit pricey if I were to pay myself, but otherwise, I would have no issues recommending Spin because the staff always make you feel comfortable and the food is always pleasing,

    The only reason to eat here is if you stay at the hotel and is too cold to go outside. Diner quality food and service at hotel restaurant prices.

    Spin is a great place for a lunch with work colleagues. The atmosphere is relaxed and if you have a table by a window or wall, it is relatively quiet. the food is very good but a tad pricey, especially the salad builder.

    An old work colleague and I regularly get together at Spin for lunch. They always provide us with a table by the window, as per our request and the service is great. We usually have salads but I have had the quiche twice and it is very good. My friend had the fish and chips for the first time and found the fish batter to be very greasy. Overall, we enjoy Spin and will definitely go back. Thank you.

    Spin is the perfect place for lunches with colleagues. I always ask for a table by a window or wall as it can be a bit noisy in the middle. I really appreciate that they always accommodate my request. The servers are very friendly and efficient but not intrusive. I recommend it.

    After a long day my colleague and didn't want to go out so we decided to stay at the hotel and eat at the hotel restaurant. That is a choice I've often regretted, but not this time. The menu was varied and the food was very good. Our server was less than enthusiastic, but she was attentive. Although there are many fabulous places to eat in Ottawa, if you choose to just stay put at the hotel, you'll be OK at the Spin Kitchen and Bar.

    Our server, Melissa, was fantastic! She had just the right amount of 'check ins' and when were paying our bills and chatty with her, she was so kind and fun to talk to! We had brunch there and it was quiet and the food was great!

    It was my 3rd time at Spin Kitchen and I loved it. I reserve on line and always ask for a table in a corner or by a window as the middle is too noisy and they have always been able to accommodate. We all had something different (burger, sandwiches) and all were very good. I will definitely go back and will recommend to anyone looking for a good place for either a business or personal lunch. I have yet to go for dinner but am planning to try it when I have an opportunity. Thank you

    The menu provides lots of choices, and the quality of the food is very good. The wait staff are exceptional - particularly Betty, who is always pleasant, attentive and helpful. My favourite choice for a lunch downtown.

    I would not recommend this restaurant. I had the Seafood Chowder and the Steak Frites. The service was both slow (they were not busy) and poor. The server asked me if I wanted bread - I said yes - but he did not brinf it. It was brought after my second trequest without an apology. He brought me a striploin steak without a steak knife. I asked for one, but he attended to another table before bringing it to me. The soup bowl and steak plate were both attractive making for a very nice presentation. However the food quality was a disappointment. The quantity of chowder was impressive but it was tepid. The strip loin was prepared to my specification (medium rare) but it lacked flavour and was dry. The rather good peppercorn jus partially rescued the steak. The frites were obviosly commercial pre-frozen fries of a fast food drive through quality.

    I had been to Spin before and was not impressed. I found the food very average and the restaurant very noisy. This time however, I asked if we could have a table by a window and despite being quite busy, it was much quieter. Although we did not order anything extravagant, the food was excellent, as was the service. The waiter found out that we were celebrating a birthday and provided a complimentary dessert with candle. Very nice touch. We will definitely return.

    We were 5 in our party, most of which had never been to Spin. Everyone loved the food (especially the fries!) and the service was fabulous. Our server was very timely and friendly. The location is perfect and the décor works for lunch. Although I am sure food is equally great in the evenings, I don't find the décor or table set up conducive for say a romantic dinner or group celebration.

    Meeting up with old friends who made an hour long trek in to the city for us. The "out of towner" was picking the spot. It was a great choice, superb food, nice compact yet varied menu and reasonable price point. If they beefed up the wine list it would be five stars!

    Excellent food. Friendly, professional service. Perfect lunch spot for the business crowd. My only remotely negative comment is with respect to the coffee. I love good coffee and do not mind paying more for it. At $4/cup, I expected better java. All other aspects were super.

    I have eaten at Spin many times before, and this was the first time that despite having a reservation they sat me in the bar. Rather than having a great meal in a cozy ambiance I was forced to endure groups of energetic hockey fans and whatnot. This was NOT their shining moment... and unfortunately the experience was repeated throughout the weekend.

    I Call to increase our reservastion and had no problem doing so. You where very very busy the evening we went so services was a bit slow, but understandable. and the manager was extreamly helpful.

    Cold food, under-staffed, poor unattentive service and noisy "singles" clients operating their office with lap top and cell from the dining room at lunch hour. I cannot recommend and question returning.

    I stay in the hotel often, and have eaten at the breakfast buffet many times. Recently I started enjoying it for dinner, and I really love their food... whether for hamburgers or something fancier :)

    I would return but not because it is so great, but because it offers a convenient location for a fairly good lunch. The ambience is good (better in the west section). The food is ok. Salad niçoise is very good but the last time there was a pit left in an olive... just hoping the tooth is ok. They charge for soft drink refills (rare these days in restaurants). The service is not great - we asked the waitress about an ingredient in one of the dishes. She didn't know and checked with the kitchen. She came back with a completely wrong description.

    This was the first time I have had lunch at "Spin". I have been there often for a drink and quick munchies after work with co-workers. The lunch was exceptionally good. The salmon was very moist, the pairing of fish with vegetables and fruit topping was well done. The portion was just right for a lunch - not too much and not too little! The service was excellent. This was a special occasion with a friend and I was very pleased with the service and the meal itself. Also appreciated that the tables are not so close that one is able to have a confidential conversation.

    I had lunch at Spin with a friend. We both ordered the Niçoise salad with poached egg (rather than hardboiled). I ordered the tuna rare - I was told they could do medium-rare. I was quite good. I would definitely go back for that salad.

    Food was okay, as was the service. We went for lunch on a Thursday and it was quite loud. I had the fish tacos and my mom had one of the artisan pizzas. Both were just okay but nothing to write home about. One food item and a coffee each and the bill was just under $60 with taxes and tip. Decent food but not worth that kind of cash.
