Delicious food. I always get the same thing. Salmon on a crispy flour tortilla with black beans, mango, cabbage & yummy sauce. The salmon is always cooked perfectly My husband & son get the tacos. 4 nice size lightly crispy flour tortillas with your choice of pork, beef, chicken, & now they have a vegetarian one. They loved them. We really enjoyed our dinner. I love the new remodel. It looks fresh & so much lighter. Thank You 😊

What a disappointing experience. Food was not good- charcoal bits in the carne asada, chicken enchiladas with no sauce or flavor, nachos tasted like the had pizza sauce on them and the Guacamole tasted like it was not homemade and was so limey. Our server disappeared mid meal and this made for a very long and painful meal especially when the food was inedible. Apparently the server left so others did their best to pitch in. Conner was doing the work of 3 people and kept his smile- the only redeeming moment. Would not recommend this and the Boulders should certainly work to up their dining game.

We had high expectations for the Spotted Donkey, based on other reviews. We ordered chips and salsa (not free) and the salsas were simply awful. A soupy orange salsa with little flavor, a black bean salsa that was sweet (!?)and a green salsa that was…green. My special Pedregal Margarita was like no other margarita I’ve ever had. Something was off. Pineapple maybe? The waitress, who worked hard and was very friendly, swapped out my margarita for a classic one, which was good. Our entrees were very mediocre. The beef tasted like pot roast, the chicken was tender but bland and the carnitas were forgettable too. Where was the freshness? What about some spice and chiles? This was not Mexican food IMO. Just something made to look like it. Sorry but there was nothing I ate that I enjoyed.

Had a special dinner with friends. They enjoyed their burger and fish tacos. My husband I got steak and shrimp fajitas and they were under seasoned with very little protein/meat. Mostly veg. The queso app was very runny too. For $116 (no drinks, pre tip) pretty average.

It happened again, the host tried to sit us outside when my reservation specific said "indoor standard sitting", it took for ever for the host to say what table she look not too happy about it, which we do not understand because not only our reservation stated clearly that we choose indoors, but they restaurant was still with empty tables when we left the premises. Also they host did not assign our table to anyone with have to finally ask a waiter if she can please find out who will take care of our table to place our order and finally a male person very polite apologized in their behalf because he explained they did not informed to him our table was assigned to him, he did provided us with very good service.

We always enjoyed dining at The Spotted Donkey. Yesterday, we were told that Happy Hour is no longer offered from 4-6pm unless you sit at the bar. Nowhere did I read that Happy Hour is now only served at the bar. It was slightly disappointing!
