Bar Lupulus continues to be the best place in Ottawa (and one of the top places in the country, for that matter) to get rotating craft beer and amazing rotating selection of cocktails and wines. The food is not "pub food" it's high end and eclectic which makes the experience all the more amazing. The service is world class and the staff there have been there many years and know the menus inside out and upside down and never let us down with a suggestion. Over the last year they've started to host "tap takeovers" from top brewers during limited weekends and have fun with the menu offering more traditional style pub food (but elevated).

The decor is amazing. It felt like we were somewhere else. The Happy Hour menu is great although some of the appetizers are a bit small. We were 3 friends and tried the following: - oysters: great price during Happy Hour - shrimp cocktail: good size - mini poutine: very small but good - beef tartare: delicious - salmon tartare: the seasoning was a bit off. Overall, we were really satisfied and had a pleasant evening. Would definitely go back again.

Had an amazing time celebrating my parents' 49th wedding anniversary! The ambiance with live music was fantastic, our server Courteney was exceptional, and the food was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend Urabn Angus Steak and Wine.
