The room had the old mop /musty mop aroma. Two of our 6 dishes were too salty. The vegetables were all under cooked. There should be two candles on a table larger than 4 top.

Usually pretty good service. Today the service was abysmal. Took forever to take our drink order. Forgot a drink. Then forgot the straws specifically requested twice. Then walked away without taking the food order. Then after he brought the food, we were missing an item, finally got the missing item, then walked away while we were trying to ask for more coffee and water. Finally ordered more coffee, and he never came back. Flagged him down 5-10 min later and asked for the check. He brought the check, and then remembered we’d asked for more coffee. He also previously took our vouchers off the table, then charged us full price. He had to fix the bill, when I pointed out he’d already taken our vouchers.

Very good happy hour small plates and cocktails. We had lobster bucatini and spicy shrimp pasta for dinner. The lobster pasta was good, there was nothing spicy about the shrimp dish and it was a little soupy & plain. Over all good experience, good value, good service.

The food was excellent! Our server, Cain, had nothing but great recommendations! We went there to celebrate a birthday as a family of four. The kids loved the food and the desserts were so delicious as well. I highly recommend the steak frites and my wife loved the Halibut! Definitely going back!

This was my first time dining at Stella. It has a cool and relaxed vibe. We made a reservation for my boyfriends birthday and our hostess was pleasant and seated us immediately. Even though it was busy, it was still quiet which I liked. Our server Miya was very sweet and attentive. She made good suggestions and answered all of our questions. We ordered the biscuits and deviled eggs for appetizers and they were very good. I have heard great things about those biscuits and they did not disappoint. I ordered the pork chop with brussels sprouts and it was heavenly! Seasoned perfectly and cooked tender and moist. It was the best pork chop I have ever had. My boyfriend ordered the steak and the same could be said for his meal, delicious! It was a very pleasant dining experience. We look forward to returning.

Great overall experience. We did not know that it was within the Westin hotel and were a little hesitant when we found out just due to the traffic at the restaurant at see at the time. There were no issues and our food and server were amazing.

Note: This is a review of my DINNER experience (brunch might be more of a specialty for Stella San Jac). The drinks, appetizers, and ambiance were the best parts of my experience. The servers and greeters seemed bored and totally uninterested. There also seemed to be a lack of coordination between the greeters and servers—I had, and observed, a bit of an awkward exchange once my party was ready to be seated. The crab hush puppies and deviled eggs were excellent. The biscuits were just okay; you can find better biscuits in Austin (e.g., Fixe Southern House and Colleen’s). The shrimp pasta (unseasoned and runny) and halibut tasted like cafeteria food. Also, the manager never came by our table to check in, which is a standard practice. Overall, the servers’ and greeters’ vibes and the basic entrees made this place a miss for me. IMO, there are way better restaurants downtown with better food, better vibes, and better service.

Great food and great service. We had the Father's Day bourbon special and while pricy it did not disappoint. The only negative for us is the noise level as we are seniors and often find it difficult to have conversations when the noise level is high. Younger people will find it very energetic and enjoyable.

This experience was extremely overpriced and very little info shared on the bourbons being poured. We have done similar tastings and have gotten much more enjoyment and value from them. The food pairing was a small biscuit for each tasting with a different butter. Had we paid a much lower price, we may have enjoyed it more.

We’ve been here on multiple occasions and unfortunately this was not the best. We had family visiting and rave about this place so we decided to come in for brunch. Our table was set up perfectly in advance as we had reservations. However, it lacked the service we are used to. We had Jessica as our server. She was polite when she first approached but after a short time, her service decreased after our drinks were taken. It took 20 minutes for our waters to be poured since we sat down. We didn’t receive our beverages until 35 minutes after placing our order with our appetizer. Where 2 tables that sat after us received their beverages well before. We only ordered a mimosa carafe and a Bloody Mary. To then have our drinks come out after a long while and also received a second Bloody Mary which was not ordered but also added to our bill. Our appetizer of 2x biscuits came out 45-50 minutes later. No apologies at all about the delays. We had 3 people in our party who ordered chicken & waffles. One gal in our party still needed a moment to decide what to order. We did not see our server until 20+ minutes later. She then stated the chicken and waffles were sold out and handed back our menus to reorder. She left again and took a while before coming back. After ordering our meals it took another 40 minutes for the orders to come. We ordered berries for the children and were given cantaloupe when specifically ordered berries. We ordered a coffee and she specifically asked for a creamer preference then never brought the coffee out. One of our friends constantly tried to flag our waitress down but never received her attention. She was consistent with checking up on the other large party next to us but never came to us nor inquired how our meals were. We ordered 2 eggs your way over easy, the egg yolks were cooked as if they ordered over hard and both ordered turkey sausage and one received pork sausage. Not happy with our 2+ hour long wait of a brunch and the $$$ we had spent.
