Steven Lelli's on the Green Ratings and Reviews
Sent the ribeye back over cooked
Ordered crepe brulee, don’t have it ... reservation was 6:15 so I was the first seething of the night
2 Lelli shrimp $8 ... over priced
Thought 20 oz ribeye for $56 was over priced as well
Exceptional food & service. 5 star all the way. Highly recommend.
We’ve been going to Lellis since the 50!s! It is Our families favorite meal!
Wonderful evening with excellent food and attentive service!
Phenomenal, both food and service! My sea bass was to die for, my husband could cut his filet with his fork! Great service, friendly and extremely attentive but not hovering. Definitely will be back.
Everyone in our party enjoyed the food and atmosphere
We have not been impressed in the past at Lellis but decided to give them another try due to the change in the head chef. Our waiter was absolutely terrible. He was quite unkempt looking and was not at all professional and was not appropriate for the level of clientele. For a venue that is supposed to be noted for their wine list, we ordered our selections and twice they could not find a particular bottle. Terrible customer service as the owner did not attempt to offer a better bottle as a replacement for not having/finding the selections on their list. We live very close to this restaurant and hoped it had gotten better, but will not be back. The food had improved as we had hoped, but the experience was totally overshadowed by the waitstaff.
Not the kitchens best night and our waiter made some mind boggling errors. But Ive been here enough to recommend it.
We were celebrating a special birthday & requested a booth. We were seated at booth #52 for 2. It was opposite the bar, cozy & romantic. Our server was Marie, & she was excellent! I would recommend the restaurant, although it is pricey, it is worth doing for special occasions. I would request the booth & the server. The food was excellent!
Amazing. Truly enjoyed our meal!
Cut back on the SALT in the kitchen ... let the customer season to taste at the table.
I have a diet with low salt and chef John took excellent care of my dietary requirements. The curry duck salad is to die for and I also had the classic Lelli salad with salmon also no salt and vinegar only. A memorable way to spend the afternoon.
There were too many bugs flying around, one drowned in my drink, killed several. Some food slid off plate during delivery to our table, waiter wiped plate with spare towel. Not impressed at all.
Hate the garlic bread. So overwhelmed by how much garlic and butter is on it. Missed having good Italian bread. Minestrone soup was so salty that everyone complained. Very disappointed and even though wait staff attempted to appease us, just was not a memorable experience. For the same price Capital Grille is a much better choice.
Excellent service by our waiter Sanford. Great food. Manager was very attentive. We had a surprise desert for my wife birthday. Will be back
After booking on open table we arrived with an office staff to find a hand written notice on the from door they were closed for Halloween.
No prior notice they were closed for a non-holiday and embarrassing as we had the entire office staff.
Had to scramble for a replacement.
Sunday early evening dinner for two. Restaurant was just about empty. Service was Very Good. Food was pricey compaired to other restaurants that offer the same items. Green salad was oily. Soup was pasty. Vegetables were OK. Scallops were very good.
Our first visit and disappointed. Appetizers were enjoyed by the four of us. Minestrone was very interesting. All entrees were disappointing-overlooked beef and veal. Pasta dish enormous but uninteresting. Quantity does not make up for quality. There are several other restaurants in the area which better carry off service, presentation and overall cuisine. Rushing busboys who kicked my chair many times did not improve the experience.
Excellent experience, only one issue.
Our server was great in the beginning, until she asked me why I didn't eat my artichoke appetizer, I am a vegetarian and expected it to be good. It was awful, very bitter, inedible.
We all 4 agreed. As much as our bill was close to $500, you would think she would have removed it from our bill.
That's all, otherwise everything was great.
Food was cooked perfectly! Service was great as well as ambience!
This restaurant never disappoints. Excellent food and service. Thank you!!
Always consistent! Great food, great service. Thank you
Service took a while. Minestrone soup was very salty. Veal parmigiana lacked the bolognese sauce. They gave you three pieces my second piece barely had any sauce my third piece had no sauce at all.
Very poor service.
It was my second time here and it wasn't great. They were busy and there was a real problem getting our food out of the kitchen. The waiter seemed distracted and I could hear other tables complaining too. The manager made no adjustment for this. Not sure I will return.
This has to be the greatest Italian restaurant in the greater Detroit. The food and service was absolutely outstanding! We brought another couple from Florida and they said if they moved to Michigan they would be here 2 to 3 times a week.
Great good, great service@
Antionette our waitress was amazing!!! Made our evening!
This restaurant has been praised by a number of friends, so we chose to celebrate a happy occasion there. Perhaps it was the regular chef's night off (Wednesday), but the food was really poor. The 1939 Salad was overdressed, the soup was too salty, the Dover Sole was not at all flaky, the sirloin steak had to be sent back because it was overdone. We spent $154 and will not be back. The scallops with prosciutto was delicious, so there was a bright spot; and another bright spot was the fact that I was with someone I loved very much. No more Lelli's for us, however.
great food and great service, we will be coming back soon
The food was not up to their usual standards. However, we had a pretty awful waitress and I think she let the food sit a bit. We love to get Lorenzo as our waiter. As he is the best in the place. Large parties all around us. Loud. The wait staff could barely pass. All and all it was ok. It is usually much better.
The food is amazing and we have tried most of it. Our friends loved it. Wine list is very good. We were not impressed with the service being they were not busy. Sunday evening and it should have been better.
Lelli's is an old-school on a golf course restaurant. Servers are in black jackets and very politem but could have been a bit more attentive. We were served nice warm rolls and garlic bread shortly after sitting. My companions ordered veal dishes and egg parm and liked it. I ordered a salad which was good, but not great. The lettuce was overdressed and the chicken was a bit tough. Dessert was a highlight with a very nice carrot cake and chocolate cake. I would go back, but there are better values. However, it is a delightful scene to look out on the first tee.
Consistently great food with an entertaining waiter. How could you not like Steven Lelli's on the Green.
Great food, horrible service, overcrowded seating, long wait for food, NOISY!!!!
After much consideration, we returned to find that are food experience was great. Have always loved the filet at Lelli's however we have had many disappointing meals, meat not cooked well and sides not up to standard. This visit was GREAT, improvement on the potatoes, they were wonderful, the vegetables were great as well. The steak was the best we have had in years!
Amazing food as always, but service and manager who sat on his butt most of the night, left something to be desired.
Steven Lelli's is a well run restaurant. Food is great. Wine is excellent. And the ambiance is perfect. Recommended
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is amazing, especially their filet with zip sauce! I was celebrating a birthday dinner with three of my friends, unfortunately the waitperson was rather annoying and kind of put a damper on our dinner. Never the less I will be back!
At $14, martinis are over priced. Most restaurants in the area charge $8-9 for a Bombay Sapphire, same size.
