What a wonderful birthday dinner! We had the mushroom crostini to start, crispy, earthy with a hint of sweetness from the balsamic reduction. My husband had the Steak au poivre and I had the halibut feature. They were both cooked to perfection Everything was seasoned so well that no salt or pepper required. I received a piece of cheesecake with a candle in it and we ordered the very delicious mini dessert platter. The service we received from Denise was top notch! She was extremely engaging without hovering over us. We highly recommend this lovely spot!

The food was fabulous. Kudos to the Chef!! Choice of high end trendy choices as well as favorited. Our server was amazing. Seating was prompt, we were not rushed. Loved the preset menu choices also

Our first time at the Stone House, but definitely not the last. Food, service, attention to detail was excellent. Walleye was cooked to perfection, steak done exactly as requested, relaxed and friendly wait staff made our dining experience one to be repeated.

Wow, what a wonderful evening! The service was top notch. They knew it was our anniversary from our booking and put hearts on the table. It was really sweet. The server was so nice and helpful when we couldn't quite decide between a couple of dishes. The food was AMAZING. I liked that it wasn't too crazy and loud. We will definitely be back again. Thank you so much for such a nice evening out!

This was my first visit to Stone House Restaurant. I went with a girlfriend and we both thoroughly enjoyed everything. Our server was Leslie and she was absolutely lovely. Treated us really well. Food was excellent.

When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the hostess, then led to a quiet booth to meet our friends. We all enjoyed selections from the Taste of Burlington Prix Fixe menu, including delicious apps such as the Baked Brie, Beet Salad and Mediterranean Falafel, followed by mains including generous and very tasty portions of the Moroccan Lamb Shank, Chicken Parmesan and Beef Tip Fettucine. All of the selections were presented artistically. The four of us also shared a mouth-watering bucket of mussels delivered in a light and tasty white wine sauce, especially good with the warm soft rolls provided by our server. We all enjoyed a scrumptious mini dessert to finish off our meal. The service was quick, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. Our entire evening was wonderful and a great way to end a busy week! We can’t wait to return!

Excellent food and service. We went during the Taste of Burlington and chose from a fixed price menu. (Rainbow trout and beef tip fettuccine). Both were excellent! We also celebrated and anniversary and they decorated the table with little heart confetti for us!

The service was great as always, and the food was cooked to perfection. My only issues this visit; were that my prime rib was almost 1/3 fat; so it made the value of the meal to be a lot less. Normally I love this restaurant for an intimate dinner with my wife; but I wasn't overly impressed this time. At least I know what not to buy next time. That fatty piece of meat shouldn't have been served to a customer; but I am not one to complain during a nice evening out. Thank you for a nice evening

We usually go to Stonehouse at least twice a year, often on our anniversary. We were a little disappointed with the food during this visit. It’s been a while since we had the calamari as we have been ordering the oysters instead but we had previously enjoyed the calamari and decided to have it again. We didn’t read the menu description closely enough and were surprised when the calamari came already coated in the sriracha sauce. The sauce was flavourful but there was no texture. Even the radish slices were limp and we could not taste the calamari, just the sauce. I much prefer to have the sauce on the side. My husband said the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding he had was no better than what we can make at home and in fact, had a large piece of un rendered fat in the middle of the roast beef. I had the boneless beef short rib and while it was tender and flavourful, the sauce on the beef was also all over the plate so everything tasted the same, including the turnip purée and the spatzle. To their credit, they did take the calamari off our bill even though it was our own fault that we didn’t notice that the calamari would be tossed in the sauce. We have always really enjoyed Stonehouse and Lakehouse so hopefully, this was an anomaly.

I went there with my wife last Friday. My first thought was "It has been a while since I had such a great food". The service was outstanding as well. Since it is not in a popular location, I would say it is a hidden gem.

So yes I would refer a friend but never on valentines day. Food was good but service was terrible! He had no tableside manner and even though the pace of our meal was perfect, he seemed panickednall night. "What d'ya want?" ... so impersonal on a special night we spent a lot of money for. Not the best that night but was good other times.

Nice looking restaurant with good service. My problem was my choice. I chose the lamb shank which should have been better for what I paid. The seafood chowder tasted at best average, not the product of a fine restaurant ... more like Tim Horton's soup Should have chose the Strip loin.

Went here for Valentine’s Day and it was an amazing experience. I made reservations and I was served right away even though it was very busy that night. Our server was very friendly and helpful. Gave us the perfect amount of time and periodically checked up on us. The food was exceptional. My girlfriend also enjoyed her meals. Really can’t complain at all. Would come back again for a special occasion.

Everything was so delicious. Had the Valentine's day prix fixe menu and it was amazing. Steak melted in your mouth. Everything was perfect. Hot, tasty, great selection and serving size. Dessert platter to share was above expectations. Well worth the cost. Can't wait to go back. Service was also friendly, fast, and attentive.

Went there for St.Valentines day. A little disappointed that we were not advised that it was a fixed menu (and price) before we finalized the booking and a penalty applied to then cancel the booking. As seniors we would not normally eat all three courses but having paid the $70 tab we managed to finish all courses. The waitress was very good and said we "did well".
