Stone House Restaurant
We are able to accommodate private group functions of 10 to 72 people. Our private room is fully equipped to meet your audio visual needs.
And remember, if you are going to the Niagara region, visit our sister restaurant Lake House, located right on Lake Ontario at the Victoria Street exit of the Q.E.W.
We have dined here a few times now and always have the best experience.
The food is absolutely wonderful! Lots of choice and great features .
The wine list is great as well as the cocktails!
We enjoy the ambience as it is calm and quiet .
The servers are knowledgeable, polite and very attentive.
We will be back for sure!!
Since it was our daughters Birthday we would have preferred to sit in the restaurant area and not the bar. When booking through OpenTable the guest should be given the best table in the restaurant and not put in a noisy bar area with TV’s an dishwashers running
Amazing food great service can't wait to return
Very attentive staff and you didn't wait long in between courses
Service was slow. Clearly understaffed as the waitress was nice but not around
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. The manager is also amazing at her job, asking every table individually if food / service is to standard. Will be visiting for future celebrations.
great place to celebrate a birthday. lots of choice on menu. staff were fantastic
I do not recommend Stone House if you are looking for quality food. Portions were big, but food was tasteless and not appetizing at all. It's a shame as the menu looked great. Not worth the price!
Vey good food and great service !!
Consistently excellent food, superb service and comfortable atmosphere.
Good meal , friendly staff. The feel was cozy and I liked that we could still watch the basketball game without being in a sports bar
Flavour, presentation & ambiance all good.
Very disappointed with the waitress at the end of our meal which gave me a bad feeling.
I handed her gift cards and she said for me to tip on the entire bill amount and not just the balance after the coupons taken off.
It's my discretion to tip on what I want. Not hers.
Not Happy At All.
The food was good, but not great. The Moroccan Lamb Shank was more of a strew which my guest was not pleased about. They were expecting a more traditionally served lamb shank and not a stew. My other guest ordered the chicken supreme which they did enjoy. The rainbow trout itself was well cooked but its flavor was greatly lacking and the sauce that came with the dish at the bottom was very sweet; almost mimicking a mayo? Not quite what was expected and fell flat.
We celebrated our anniversary at the Stone House. The service and steaks were excellent. They also sprinkled little heart confetti on the table which was a nice touch!
We enjoyed everything we ordered until the cappuccino; it was absolutely terrible... I could not drink it at all! They ended up taking it off our bill.
Overall, the food was good but a bit pricey. Not sure if we will be back.
Lovely evening, food was delicious. The manager came over personally to check on our table. Nice touch.
Wonderful selection of specials and regular menu items. The ambiance leans toward upscale dining. Great for anniversaries or celebrations.
Beautiful, yummmy food. Restaurant for ambience is very dated. I’m part of a younger crowd that loves the ambience and I could see that not being a selling feature. Would definitely recommend
I've dined at the Stonehouse before and again they did not disappoint. Background music was great along with the attentive eye of our server set the beginning of a memorable birthday evening with a dear friend.
The food was delicious the oysters and escargot were scrumptious. Fresh warm bread with balsamic and olive oil always good. For our mains we choose the steak with a peppsrcorn sauce. Everything was great!
This is the second time we went to this restaurant and just as the first, it did not disappoint! We asked for a private table and we got just that. The service was on point and the food is absolutely delicious. I cannot wait to go back.
Great service by our waiter friendly and knowledgeable about the food and the wine. Food was excellent.
Really very disappointing. Food was bland. And they didn't have what we asked for. It was loud and noisy. We kept having to look for our Waitress. And we had just started to eat and they advised us the kitchen was closing and we needed to hurry and finish our meal. It was only 9pm. And expensive for the poor quality and bland food.
Definitely won't recommend to anyone!
Selection on the menu was broad and something for everyone. Food was well designed and main courses were excellent. We preferred the mini desserts to the full sized, which seemed too much and a little simple. Friendly service. Was a little bit slow getting our mains but it was busy so it was reasonable. Will be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal at a reasonable price.
My husband enjoyed the nightly special. However, I ordered pan-seared scallops and only received 3 scallops over white beans, bacon, and mushrooms (in some type of sauce). For the price this meal was not very filling. I also ordered a lobster tail as a side and a dessert and still left hungry. As for the restaurant itself, it was nice inside but not anything out of the ordinary.
If you're looking for a great meal, spacious and quiet atmosphere, the Burlington Stone House is it! We had a wonderful time!
The food was very good, the service was excellent. The volume was set just right on the music, and since we were there on the early side that evening, the restaurant was quiet.
The seasoning in the carrot soup diminished the carrot flavour.
Rainbow trout was good, the lemon flavored potatoes were very disappointing. All skin and hard.
Several parties were being held that night, so noisy as a result but the staff sat us in the "Orient Express" which was nice.
The food was wonderful and we enjoyed it very much. Just a word about the boneless beef shank however-my husband chose this dish and found the sauce very overpowering. Other than that it was a delicious dining experience. Stonehouse is our favourite Burlington Restaurant !
Great food great service. Too bad a large table of noisy kids were next to us so we didn’t enjoy the atmosphere as much but we will come back
Always a great meal and service, a restaurant you can count on.
Great food! Service was excellent but having booked last minute, our table felt somewhat 'squashed'. The only negative comment is that the price of the beer was extremely high - the highest price we've ever paid anywhere:(
A wonderful dining experience. My partner and I ate at this restaurant on Friday April 26. We were seated at one of the "privacy" booths which are set up to replicate a booth on the "Orient Express" train. Our server, Jasmine, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and wine list. She was attentive, but not intrusive. We ordered from the Prix Fixe menu and there were a number of good choices. My partner had the pan seared trout which was excellent, while I had the veal parmigiano, which was also tasty. The meal what finished off with a selection of "small desserts", which were a perfect size after a filling meal. We would definitely return and would recommend this restaurant to others.
It was a wedding anniversary celebration. Heart confetti adorned he table. Nice touch. Waitress was very good at detail and listening to special requests.
The mini desserts were good but all very similar. Would have been nice to have a tiny tart or cookies or something other than creamy choices.
We will return. Overall, a good experience.
Another wonderful dinner with friends.
The food, service, and atmosphere were great.
Everything was amazing! We all got the price fix and we’re not disappointed. My only criticism would be I don’t love the little shot glass desserts. I do have a sweet tooth so would prefer something like creme brûlée. Everything else was top notch . We had a nice booth that was private so we could talk without it being too loud. I would go back in a heart beat!
Really nice place. Food was great and the server was fun.
Ordered two rib eye steaks that were done to perfection. Waitress was excellent. Parking very easy. Always has great specials but suitable for carnivores.
We enjoyed our meal very much and the waitress was wonderful.
First time and totally enjoyed everything! Have been recommending to everyone I talk to
Great as usual
The food was very good Had a very
Mixed review my roast beef dinner was very good. Nice cut of meat. I enjoyed my dinner very much. Although my husband had the fillie/peppercorn sauce and it was not very good, very grizzly. He could hardly cut the last few pieces. So he was very dissappointed with his dinner. Found it pricey. And the waiter was okay? I would like to try the pre fix dinner next time. Might be better value. $10.95 each for salad is a bit much I think!!!! Therefore not a great rating cause for the price two meals should be excellent.
