Stonesedge Kitchen
Serving lunch & dinner daily from 1 pm - 10 pm
Chef Robert MacMillan and his team aim to nourish both the body and soul. We celebrate modern Canadian cooking; inspired by the mountains, fields, farms, and waters of the Pacific Northwest. We offer seasonal sustainable meats and produce, and quality without complexity. The bar focuses on approachable wines, excellent beer, and adventurous craft cocktails.
Our spirited venue is contemporary and comfortable, encouraging shared experiences. Find a seat at the long bar, in our lively dining room, or on the patio for that Whistler village energy.
Each weekend this is the go-to brunch spot in the village, offering up the indulgent nourishing fare.
Located across from the Whistler Conference center and upstairs from Buffalo Bills.
We always love dining here when in Whistler. Beautiful setting, great food & lovely staff!
Nice dinner. A bit cold right by the door! Tofu bowl was great. Focaccia and baked Brie were fantastic. Xmas dinner was nice.
Highly recommend!
My partner and I had ana amazing overall experience at Stonesedge. The service was outstanding, and both our meals were delicious.
Service was excellent. Food was tasty and big portions. Drink selection is ample.
Not good, the price of the menu was outrageous. Serving very poor. Gross washrooms.
awesome service and amazingly tasty food definitely will be going back
Restaurant is really nice inside, plexi glass up for social distancing. The food was excellent, appetizers came out really quickly, The kale salad is a must try !
Where this restaurant lacked was in service, the hostess was friendly and professional, our server was okay, he attended our table minimally and when I ordered a salad and asked to get it split he was walking away as he just came to check on us after appetizers, I decided to order since he hadn’t come back to take our mains. It felt awkward as I was trying to say what we wanted he just kept walking. The salad came out not split and we had to use plates we used for our appetizers to split the salad ourself.
When we left the restaurant a few of the workers were casually chatting outside and as we walked by our server said good bye but it all just seemed overly causal.
My wife and I walked into Stonesedge Kitchen around 4:55pm, looking to sit down for a couple of drinks followed by an early dinner.
The hostess greeted us, and asked if we had a reservation. We said no, and she then apologized and said they were not taking any customers who didn't have a reservation. A quick glance around indicated that over 80% of the restaurant was empty and unless they had booked a party, that didn't make any sense. "That's disappointing," we thought, and we left. As we were walking away, I pulled out my phone, and looked up Stonesedge Kitchen reservations online.
A reservation was available at 5:15pm.
Almost in disbelief, I booked it, and after we sauntered around the village for just over 10 minutes, we returned and half-expected to be turned away. They seated us.
We were glad to get a seat, but were also quite perturbed that the hostess didn't even look or suggest we look for booking a reservation.
That really made us feel unwelcome, but we stayed nonetheless. And we were glad we did, as the food was superb.
Although the food was exceptional, our server was the opposite. We ordered oysters, foccacia bread and a steak, along with 2 'special' scotch whiskeys and an ice wine. The oysters and bread came out together, which was OK - but would have been better with a little time between them.
The scotch was good, but overpriced and it may have been a single shot in that scotch glass - we were expecting 3X more volume.
I asked for tabasco, and he forgot it, so we finished the oysters without it - they did have a thicker and weaker 'hot' sauce that was good enough, though not the same spicy vinigrette bit as tabasco.
Then with the steak, I asked for the tabasco again. Finally, we forgot we ordered the ice wine until 1/2 through the steak - because he had forgotten it as well.
Overall - the food was exceptional but the rest of the service ranged from poor to downright inhospitable.
Hi ChangHan, I first would like to offer an apology for how your experience at Stonesedge went. On this particular evening, the restaurant was full booked and we were no longer accepting walk-ins. We apologize for the service you received. I have touched base with the staff member who served you on how he could have done better. We're glad you enjoyed the food, and hope that you will give us another shot and giving you the all star service we're known for. Cheers; Chad DeAbreu 604-935-6273
Great service by Fiona ; food was great; felt covid safe !
Hi Whistler, We're glad you enjoyed your meal and service! We look forward to hosting you again.
Had a great meal of their daily special (1/2 rack of ribs) with some truffle fries and a bottle of wine. Very good meal, service and ambiance. Always a great time. Their charcuterie is very good as well!
Hi Food and Wino lover, We're glad you enjoyed our Rib feature as well as truffle fries. We're also stoked you were happy with the service. I'll pass your kind words onto the team, and we look forward to having you dine with us in the future. Cheers
If the bathroom experience was better it would have been all around 5 stars

Great modern dishes and excellent services. The charcuterie appetizer was fantastic and the main dish, Bison Ribeye, was amazing.

We look forward to hosting you and your group in the future, and to say thanks for the review we'd love to offer you a drink on us. Friendly staff and excellent food. A hidden gem in Whistler!
Hi Chucker, Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you enjoyed your experience and look forward to hosting you in the future. Cheers,
Menu is limited but the food was delicious. For some reason the management doesn't allow you to take your leftover wine and no explanation was supplied other than the manager doesn't allow it. Not good to go against provincial liquor policies.
Hi Jaqueline, thanks for your feedback, we're glad you enjoyed the food but we're sorry to hear you felt the menu was limited. We prepare the majority of our items in house with the freshest ingredients so we tend to keep the menu streamlined to our most popular items whilst catering for varying tastes and preferences. In regards to the leftover wine, we'd like to know what happened here so please reach out to me directly. You'll find our email on our website.
The service was great but the food was pretty average and the drinks were very overpriced!
Hi Lisa, Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your food and apologize that you felt that the food was average. Was there any specific drinks you felt were overpriced? Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any specific feedback you may have! Chad Chad@gibbonswhistler
Not a bad place for a $20 hamburger and a $52 bottle of $14 wine
Hi David, Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your burger and wine. We look forward to having you dine with us in the future.
Very disappointing. We were seated outside as per our request but it was an added on area. I believe the server forgot we were there most of the evening. Very limited dinner menu only 3 entries and the dinner special.
Charcuterie plate with 2 glasses of wine for $25 was a great deal. The Mac and cheese was pretty bland. Our waitress was very pleasant.
Hi Christy, Thank you very much for your review. We've passed the Mac & Cheese feedback on and will look to bump up the flavor for the future. We're glad you enjoyed the charcuterie & wine deal as it's one of our favorites. We look forward to having you dine with us in the future. If you have any other feedback please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly at chad@gibbonswhistler. Cheers! Chad
Was disappointed once we got to the restaurant as their menu was completely different than what is listed on OpenTable.
We had an appetizer and wine which was good
Hi Courtney, We apologize for the mixup with our menus. We have since looked into this as our menu was up to date until just recently. We have sent through our updated menu to Open Table and are hoping this is fixed as soon as possible! Please reach out to me directly as I'd love to offer you a few drinks to make it up to you. My email is chad@gibbonswhistler. Thank you.
We had a great time sitting in the patio the food was great and service friendly.
Awesome cocktails and oysters. Great service!
Hi Ashley, Thanks for your review! We're glad you loved the oysters & cocktails. We hope to see you again soon.
We went there last time we were in Whistlers and ate on the patio.it was fabulous, so wanted to cone back....only issue, is there was a big wind storm so they seated us inside. Same great food.
Hi Shelly, Thank you for your feeback! We're glad you enjoyed our patio seating, as well as our food. We apologize that the weather is out of our control, and we can only do our best to make sure guests enjoy their experience. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future, and fingers crossed the weather will be five star worthy! Cheers
Our server was wonderful, very accommodating and friendly. The food was delicious, especially the bison ribeye.
Thank you very much for the feedback! We're glad you enjoyed your meal and experience, as the bison ribeye is one of our favourites. We look forward to having you dine with us in the future! Cheers,
Meal suggested as medium rare and ordered as such came out to be medium over cooked. Still tasty but disappointing. They acknowledged and provided with good discount but that’s not the point.
Hi Guy, Thank you for the feedback, as it helps us improve our experience for future guests. I have passed your feedback on to the chef, and we will continue to monitor the cooked level of our steaks. We're glad you still enjoyed it in the end, and look forward to having you dine with us in the future. If you have any other specific feedback please don't hesitate to reach out to me at chad@gibbonswhistler Cheers,
Located on the backside of Whistler. Large indoor space with an even larger patio. Food was tasty.. but veg could have been hotter. Wine was overpriced so stuck with one glass. A very annoying thing is that you need a code to use the bathroom! Given this, why not have the code somewhere on the table so you don’t have to ask the waitress like a child asking for a washroom pass at school. The hallway to the bathroom was disguising. Can only imagine the bathroom was gross... but wouldn’t know ‘cuz didn’t have the code!
Hi Tess, Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your meal, and apologize that you think the wine was overpriced. Unfortunately, we share our washrooms with a few other businesses and therefore are required to have a lock on it. We do our best to manage the cleanliness of the hallway leading to these common washrooms. We are however exploring alternative options so that we can have access to our own washrooms. We hope to have you dine with us in the future. Cheers, Chad
My wife and I typically eat here when we get a weekend away in Whistler

Great server, great food and great food.
Thanks for your review! We appreciate your feedback.
We were disappointed with Stonesedge. This is a great location in Whistler, but the quality and service e is lacking. Our server seem to forget we were there and we had to find him to ask for beverages and then again, to order our food. When our food did arrive it was underwhelming.
Hi Caroline, We appreciate you taking the time to review your experience here at Stonesedge we truly value your feedback. We apologize if you felt like our service and food on that day were not top-notch. We would love a chance to rectify this situation.
