Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill - Duluth
Steaks cooked to perfection! Food was delicious, steaks cooked exactly how we like them & so glad we saved room to share the carrot cake & cheesecake desserts!
We hosted our daughters graduation dinner at the restaurant. The entire restaurant staff was welcoming and friendly. They set up a beautiful space and the 3 team wait staff did an outstanding job. The food was amazing and the environment was family friendly. I high recommend.
Anessa was great! Food was delicious as always. Ambience was romantic.
Over the past ten years we have dined at Stoney River three or four times a year. The experience varies from not so bad to really bad but never good and especially never great. They just can’t cook steak.
Saturday was our last dinner at Stoney River. We will not dine there again.
Friday. Night hang out with friends
It was a wonderful first impression. Juile was my server and very helpful with guided us through the menu as well as giving suggestions on the many steaks!!!
food is always consistent but the rolls and butter are out of this world!!!
We had to wait 45 minutes for our table, even though we had a reservation.. They were out of 3 things we wanted to order. The manager came over and did not apologize, but said "I think we are actually doing very well today" just excuses, no apologies..
Excellent food and excellent service. Dined there in Mother’s Day and it was very busy, the hostesses and our waitress handled it perfectly and the food was great. Only complaint: Didn’t like the way the mean manager lady was treating the wait staff and bartenders.
We had a 7:15 reservation but were not seated until 8:15. Food came out to us around 9:15. Restaurant seemed overbooked and hostesses were seating later reservations before us. I was hoping the manager would come by and apologize or offer a free desert but didn’t. Mother’s Day dinner turned into a 3 hour affair. I am very disappointed.
Of course Mother’s day is busy but considering how many people were their they did the most they could to get everyone seated with a smile and great servers.
Overbooked and understaffed. Food was cold and waited 1 hour for salids
Everything was good except my wife’s prime rib came out under done and we had to wait awhile for her food to return. However they did take it off the bill.
It was ok nothing special the steaks were over cooked but the service was awesome
My food was a tad bit cool and my steak was medium instead of medium-well.
Mother’s Day - BUSY! I get it. But we were there for 3 and a half hours WAITING. We had a reservation. Waited 45 minutes to be seated. When we were seated, it took 20 minutes for the waiter to even come to our table for the first time. We ordered all of our food initially to help speed the process. Our appetizers and salads came at a decent amount of time. But our 4 filet mignon plates took FOREVER!! My mom’s was the signature filet but she received the same filet size as everyone else at the table. Oh! And her steak had a hair in it. We couldn’t believe for such a “high end” restaurant, what an awful experience we had. We were really expecting a fancy treat and excellent service but we felt abandoned and forgotten.
I’ve been here in the past and it was good. Mother’s Day brunch was awful. The food quality was really bad. My steak for the steak and biscuits was tough and fatty. Did not enjoy myself
Food was amazing -- especially the brussel sprouts and deviled eggs! Service was outstanding. Recommend 100%!
I have never been disappointed with a meal here; the brunch on Mother's Day was no exception. The steak and eggs were amazing, my wife thought the same of the quiche.
Love Stoney River so much! Always our first choice to celebrate something special. The wait staff is always very personable and attentive to our needs. Thank you so much for your impeccable service.
Unfortunately the cowboy bone in ribeye was the fattiest, worst bone in I have ever had. I always eat the bone-in and even grill my own as I enjoy the marbling and the flavor that comes from the fat.
As it was an early Mother's Day dinner I ate a third of the steak and took the rest home to eat later. But what I discovered was a steak that really should have been thrown away and never served. half the steak was fat. very disappointing.
I will go back but I will carefully look at my steak going forward. I feel they owe me a steak...
On Mother’s Day my family decided to take me out for brunch and This was our first time having Brunch at this restaurant. Unfortunately they did not have good selections for brunch so we ordered the French toast and it was not good at all. The French toast was four pieces of bread very thick, crispy and dry. The bacon was greasy. Although it didn’t come with eggs so I asked the waiter to add eggs and he didn’t want too. So he debated with me instead of asking a manager. The waiter stated that, “we only have what’s on the menu.” Then he finally decided to ask. My husband ordered the Steak and Eggs and his steak was so small you couldn’t tell if it was a steak or not. I decided not to tell the manager because I didn’t want anything to spoil my Mother’s Day brunch with my family but I was not satisfied at all. The food was horrible. I felt like we wasted time and money 🤦🏽♀️
Simi was great! She was gracious, pleasant and attentive.
Stoney River is usually good. Last time we went the food was mediocre. Salad not crispy and ingredients the usual. It’s hit or miss, but good more often than not.
One of the best meals we have ever had. The server was amazing. My sister-in-law cut my brother's wedge salad with her utensils, the server noticed and without asking replaced her knife and fork. Amazingly attentive!!
We were seated right away. The fireplace was on and the music was nice. Our server Tabitha was great and very attentive. The food was outstanding as well. We will definitely be back.
Wonderful service. Anniversary celebration was very special. Thank you for complimentary dessert.
Went there to celebrate my daughters confirmation and was pleasantly surprised to find that they serve brunch until 4:00. Our server Kassandra took great care of us and went above and beyond! Another great time at Stoney River!
Two many loud boisterous obnoxious groups to actually enjoy the dining experience. Couldn’t even hear the other people in our party to enjoy conversation.
Stoney River is an excellent place to get a steak as well as other items.
This restaurant has become our go-to for a nice dinner out. For a chain restaurant, this is as good as it comes. Very reasonable prices for excellent, well presented food with stellar service. Highly recommend the whiskey shrimp toast or house salad as an appetizer, and the white chocolate cheesecake for dessert!!!
It was a special day for my significant other. The staff was very kind to give him a birthday card from the Stoney River staff. The food was extremely delicious. Will definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
Steaks were delicious and, as always, perfectly cooked. Au gratin potatoes melt in your mouth. Wedge salad and deviled eggs are musts for us. Wine was reasonably priced and efficiently decanted at the table. Service was inconspicuous in a good way. We brought guests hoping they would enjoy dinner and it was the perfect choice. Dinner for four was about $220 with tip.
Consistently have a wonderful time here, the food is always perfect and the service is very attentive. We went for our anniversary and the special/over and above touches were delightful and helped make the day so much more special.
Wonderful atmosphere and the staff remain consistently awesome. My reservation was at 3:30; however, we arrived 40 minutes early. The hostess got us seated within 10 minutes with a smile. Oh and the food is always good!
Great food and service
We had Easter brunch there on Sunday. It was ok but mostly it was so rushed, we didn’t have a good time. They seriously were pushing our next course to us while we were still eating the previous ones. We told them at the time to slow down and just let us enjoy our meal—and then the next course would come out a minute later. 4 course Easter special holiday brunch and we were in and out in less than an hour. Not very fun. We felt like we were being pushed out the door.
