Bring your own board or card game, or borrow one from our extensive library. We have a wide selection, from Cards Against Humanity to vintage Mastermind, from classic Catan to the latest Kickstarted craze.
We show only classic sci-fi, fantasy, and horror films on our TVs... no sports or UFC here!
While you’re here, peruse our extensive collection of memorabilia and curiosities, including autographs from SF legends and nerd luminaries, not to mention our giant hearth-mounted alien trophy, or the D&D mural, or the life-size Han Solo in carbonite, or the mysteriously glowing TARDIS...

The food was good, and the service fine for being understaffed for the crowd. I would recommend this restaurant to fellow fandom nerds for the theme. Why is "theme" not on the above list?
I had some family visiting from out of town, so I made a group booking for 6 because I knew they would love the place. The table was ready for us when we arrived, the service was great and so was the food and atmosphere! Would definitely return.
Food was overpriced and bland, TV was unreasonably loud. Of the four of us, two of us got our food late, one of us very late, and one of us very very very late. The server was like a deer in headlights when we complained. When a different server cleared some of our plates, she dragged her sleeve across my drink and almost knocked it over, then didn't apologize or even acknowledge it.
We won't be back. What a drag. Maybe if you spent less time on making the place cutesy-nerdy and more time being an actual restaurant, this wouldn't have happened.
Went to check out the new stormcrow heard it was bigger than the one on commercial. don't waste your time here just go to the one on commercial. Better tables better chairs better layout. Why they have so many high chairs is beyond me. Not a good place for board games as the tables are small.
After sitting in this location for 5 min feeling uncomfortable we left and went to the one on commercial which had nicer chairs and better tables for gaming.
Absolutely amazing! Our server was so kind and helpful for us and my fiends and I just had the most fun! I’m going to 1000% come back, it’s my new favourite bar for when I visit the mainland!
We have always had a good time eith either Storm Crow loacations, and we were very happy with our recent reso for the big table.
It was excellent in its nerdy glory as always. Good food, great service, and excellent ambiance!
Lovely time. the servers were on top of their game in terms of accommodation
We planned a get-together with friends with a big table (thankfully on a weekday) but because we work in a cinema people were getting off at all sorts of odd times. The staff was very nice to let us stay as long as we did, even though we had a large table for what was only three or four people, at first. Thanks so much, Stormcrow Alehouse staff!
Father’s Day brunch at the Storm Crow! Satisfying food with a side order of pop culture-the decor must be seen to be believed.
The staff was superb- very friendly and accommodating. The food was good; the highballs were great and we got good value for our money. Love the concept!
had a fabulous time! Drinks were fantastic, got a sharebowl with dry ice in it and rolled for shots!
Place is awesome. The beers are great, the servers super nice and had a really cool time with my friends. Having boardgames available makes you stay longer and have fun. Loved all the sci-fi and fantasy decorations around the restaurant. Will definitely come back.
Nerdiest bar in Canada lives up to it's name. Great place. The atmosphere is great, cool knick-knacks and sci-fi/fantasy paraphenalia abound. Funny drink list, lots of fresh local beers. Large amount of Vegetarian options while also catering to the meat-centric folks as well.
My spiritual home away from home. Love this place, and the one on Commercial too!!
Our annual Mothers Day tradition never lets us down, we love the place, the kids love the geekdom... we'd go back every week if we could. Kudos to the management and staff, when is Storm Crow Kitsilano opening?
Amazingly fun location, heavily geeky, appealing to many fans of games and film.
good experience and the waitress was excellent but the reservation system (open table) sucks - not at all adapted for mobile devices (serious resolution issues), and when that failed calling the restaurant didn't help because after calling several times and having no one pick up (because i was trying to get a reservation with multiple devices not working), i left a message, and did not get a call back to clarify anything. using my home computer eventually worked, but that was about an hour later and the time delay somewhat jeopardized our plans. a desktop should not be the only device able to make a reservation. I've worked in the restaurant industry before, on both coasts and in two countries--at places far busier than Stormcrow at peak hours--and honestly, not picking up the phone is just unacceptable. Especially when it's being used by a guest/customer as a last resort after a software failure (ironic, given stormcrow's clientele?). overall good experience, but damn. fix that system, or get a new application. and start picking up your phones! or at least checking to see if any messages have been left every half hour or hour or so!
Chill Sunday brunch, great food, great beverages. All you really need. Our frequent spot.
Un restaurante extraño ambientado en Comics. Rancio y guarrete. La comida de mala calidad en general. El Servicio nada para recordar.
Great place with many drink and burger options.
Very cool place decorated with nerd culture, from a full sized tardis to a Krogan(Mass Effect) head mounted over the door.
We visited Storm Crow on a Saturday afternoon with friends for a late lunch and to check out the vibe. Our group of 7 included a child and infant. We really enjoyed the fun atmosphere and decor. Our server was very attentive and we had a good casual lunch. We will certainly return as it is a unique place. The games selection includes something for everyone. It is a cool nerd bar
Fine, but nachos were pretty cheese-less and sparse, especially for the price, and servers were somewhat surly.
Delightfully nerdy restaurant with good food at decent prices.
Amazing place for a fun Saturday night!
Great boardgames. Reservation was frustrating. We arrived 30 mins early and were turned away (understandable) but when we arrived on-time for our reservation the hostess had given away our table and blamed us for being late. Super frustrating! It all got worked out in the end, but that part was unnecessarily stressful and we had to wait ten minutes for our reserved table. Our server was really nice and beer selection is great!
Fantastic spot. Fills up really fast so I recommend reserving early by calling them or via opentable.ca
Was pleasantly surprised with how good the salmon burger was. Thanks!
Guests at my table reported their burgers we're dry and rate as mediocre. Beer menu was extensive but the one I had was terrible and I couldn't finish it. Very poor indifferent service overall.
First time there and was disappointed in service. Not very friendly and spent the first 5 minutes of our meal with no utensils. Didn't like all the uncomfortable seating, prefer more booths and tables rather than the large bar set-up. Was just a really convenient location and I'm vegan so ticked those 2 important boxes on the day.
Was looking forward to this for my birthday, was fun to be with friends but the food/drinks were disappointing. Probably a good choice for beer drinkers, but as I do not my options were limited. The ceasar was great, the other mixed drinks were a sugary mess. Food was not good, Burgers were cold and fries were tiny end- bits of chips. Decor is fun and the board game thing was good and we had a fun time. Its a novelty bar - glad to have experienced it but likely won't be back.
This restaurant gets by on the novelty of playing games and drinking themed cocktails. Service is spotty, and sometimes rude. We’ve been to this spot 3 times and once waited 3 hours to be seated, they said they would call us but another group was seated before us. The games are questionable and basic but usually there is something fun. If your going at a quiet time the service is alright. Food is not great, drinks are good, but not worth the price.
-Decent selection of board games.
-Food is terrible.
-Reservations are not guaranteed.
This was our second visit and we were not disappointed. Great atmosphere. Enjoyed going out as a family (kids early twenties) and having a relaxed and fun time. Definitely will be going back, perhaps when Game of Thrones is on.
They're actually the perfect nerd spot. Did 4 hours of d20 table top gaming, had a blast. (We brought the game.)
Truly a lot if fun. Needs Galaga though . So happy to see the TARDIS.
Service was top notch and the beer selection good
But my pricy nachos were soggy
Super nerdy fun brunch :)
Was a bit dissapointed by the quality of the food overall. Was a bit pricey but it balances ot because you can hang out and play board games. Service was very friendly. Not a huge fan of the high tables and chairs. More Long low tables would be cooler, like the one in the back.
Went for lunch: Service was great, good beer selection, great ambiance, but food was mediocre.
Nachos were good, but pricey. They didn't skimp on the cheese and toppings. For an additional charge, guacamole, and proteins are available. Portion size was sufficient for 4 people as an appetizer, so I can -almost- see the base $5/head target for this appetizer.
The chicken n' waffles entree was pretty rough; standard chicken strips with waffles that seemed deep fried after being made. Cut into strips for easy dipping, the waffles tasted oily/greasy with no discernable improvement in flavour or texture. In fact, I left most of them in the basket to be taken away. :(
The chicken strips themselves were overcooked and had become stringy in the thinner edges. Flavour was lacking and struck me as being at about drive-thru quality. Sides for the dish included whipped cream (with some maple syrup mixed in) and bog-standard honey-mustard. Certainly not worth the ~$16 asked.
I will certainly return as the ambiance is excellent with a well-stocked games library including most of the popular classics in addition to the ubiquitous Cards Against Humanity. (Besides, they carry one of my current favourite beers: Hoyne Brewing Co.'s Dark Matter.) Also, despite my complaints regarding the particular entree that I ordered, I will try some of their other options as well.
Although, I have a few criticisms on the food items that we ordered, I want to encourage more businesses to follow this type of non-traditional pub model. With some more attention to the menu, I could see this branch being quite the success!
Terrible stay away
