Storm Crow Alehouse
Bring your own board or card games in if you would like to have some extra fun while visiting!
We show only sci-fi, fantasy, adventure, etc films and shows on our TVs... no sports or UFC here!
While you’re here, peruse our extensive collection of memorabilia and curiosities, including autographs from SF legends and nerd luminaries, not to mention our giant hearth-mounted Cthulhu, or the D&D mural, or the life-size Han Solo in carbonite, or the mysteriously glowing TARDIS...
I had a great time and everything seemed awesome and I'm definitely coming back.
I love this place! Great geeky alehouse with awesome ambience and a super inclusive environment. COVID protocols are in place and I felt safe eating there.
Great energy from waitress and great service and drinks! Cluckin chicken was a bit overcooked/dry.
Due to COVID we couldn’t play any games so next time we will bring our own!
Always such a good time. Fun drinks and great ambience.
Staff were very friendly, and they have good procedures in place for safety and social distancing. The drink menu is top notch, and the food was good - I'm just a bit sad that some of my favourites have come off the food menu recently.
Nice place, nice ambiance, nice service. Discover this place last week, the games are not available for now, for obvious reasons, but you can bring your own !
We had a great time here! It was the first time being back since COVID-19 started. The inside is very well laid out and physically distanced. The tables are separated by plastic dividers with pipe detailing, which perfectly matches/keeps with the decor. As always, very friendly staff and excellent service! 10/10 will recommend to friends and family
I love this place ! We having a lot of fun. The waitress who serve us is super friendly and nice
Fun and geeky. Good decorations. Could use a larger menu but I’m sure that will come
Love Storm Crow, great staff and a welcoming pub.
Fun environment with decent food. The vegetarian options were interesting and well prepared. It was very busy and service was slow, but the staff we interacted with were friendly. There were plenty of cool things to look at and a selection of games to play at the table.
Usually 5 stars here but wasn’t the best visit this time around - noise was was louder than usual, and the service seemed lacking
Everything was excellent, however, initially I ordered a pint of beer, on a refill I was served a sleve of beer and charged a pint upon billing. I was away from the table when my wife paid and I noticed when we were leaving. We were headed to an event so didn't have time to go back. Otherwise it was a great experience and I recommend it to others. The food is on point and service was otherwise excellent.
I love this place. Atmosphere is always great. The drinks are so theatrical and fun it's great to observe others reactions when the server brings them out. Super comfort food range and always tastes delicious. Service was a little slow however and had to give the table up after 3 hours which was a bit of a shame!
Always love coming to Storm Crow for the games, the people, the food, the amazing nerd decor, everything! This is a total geek paradise, perfect for those who love everything sci-fi, magic, cartoon, and gaming
I love Storm Crow Alehouse but I've quickly come to realize that it's too loud and the food is meh during dinner service just because of pure volume. Brunch is where it's at!
Really good food, great place with a bunch of nerd memorabilia. The place was packed, highly suggest making a reservation. Music was too loud to have a conversation though. Overall would highly recommend to friends and would go back in a heartbeat.
Servers Sarah and Cat were great, very attentive servers despite our party being bigger than expected. Delicious drinks, too! Thanks for a memorable birthday party
There was a great pub vibe and lots of options on the menu. Venue was large although there is noise you can still carry on a conversation without yelling.the service was great. Our server was attentive and not in a rush, had time to talk with us and casually take our order, not rushing us to any decision.
The place was pretty full so a reservation would be suggested if your group is more than 2.
As always great service even when it’s packed. Food was good great selection of drinks
Fab service from every person that came to our table of 8...meaning, helpful, chill and without attitude. One wee error with only one order and they took care of it, lickety split and without question. Our table’s youngest was 15, oldest 82 and everyone was comfortable and had a lot of fun.
The 3 hour time limit is a shame, as my friends and I would have loved to have stayed longer. The staff were polite about “kicking us out” and although we knew this policy ahead of time, was still a shame to cut our night short.
Wow, this place is incredible and I’m so sad I only just learned about it! If you don’t know what to do on a rainy night, and you don’t wanna stay home, come here and play games!
Having Brunch at Storm Crow Alehouse was fantastic! The service was quick, and I loved the overall atmosphere. I'll definitely be coming back!
This is the ultimate in geek chic! The menu and drinks are fantastic and the decor was amazing. The purple Beholder was the perfect touch. Can't wait to go back!
It was very hard to get a hold of our server and there was no flexibility or intention of other servers to help. They added an 18 percent tip on everybody’s bill tho
Couldn't tell you. I successfully reserved online a day in advance for my group. When we got there, there was a posting on the door stating it was closed for a private function.
Terrific ambiance. Service was friendly and constant despite a busy evening.
Way to loud but other than that the food and the service were good considering that it looked like there were only 2 servers for the whole place.
I love this place! They were so supportive with our guests and incredibly understanding when we needed a few extra things. Thanks for hosting such an amazing evening for our friend group!
They have streamlined the menu since my last visit which is great, menu different to what's currently on Open Table. This place is always busy but never seems to affect the service. Pulled pork burger was delicious as were the chickpea fries.
yes it was good but service was slow and some of us missed out on $5 happy hour .
Also happy hour chck pea fries were much smaller then regular price
The service we got at our table was amazing, very attentive yet not overwhelming. They really take the "nerd bar" vibes to heart and give their all. Ordering a special drink and getting a hole theatrically show as it is being delivered to the table. Highly recommend.
I absolutely love this place and I’m very pleased that it is local to me. Always great food, great beers and great staff. Unfortunately most of the time the music is way too loud and the temperature way too hot! Other than those two things it is a great place. If they can make it more comfortable heat and noise -wise it would be perfect!
It was our first time going there and we had a lot of fun. Service was great but a bit slow.
Great atmosphere, cool decor (and by cool, I mean uber-geeky in all the right ways), good food, a respectable beer selection, and creative cocktails. Service was great. Olivia rocks: mnemonic & pneumatic. With her facility for name recall, I wouldn't be surprised if she has a brain the size of a planet.
Unexpectedly great food and enjoyed a wide selection of games. Highly recommend the Brussels sprouts, I ordered it with dressing on the side. I also ordered the alcoholic butterbeer, not as good as the one you would get from Universal studios but still fun. We had enough time to cycle through a number of games - exploding kittens, sushi go, coup and codenames. Our reservations were relatively early at 5pm so the place wasn’t yet as loud and crowded. Perfect place to hang out with friends!
I went to this location before and i know it is usually a good place, but i was very unimpressed by the service we had last week. I reserved for a group of 13 people. First, there was a problem with updating the number of guests from 10 to 13 people and i had to call the restaurant twice because the first employee did not updated the number after I called the first time. The ventilation of the restaurant broke the day before our reservation, I received a call less than 24 hours before reservation to inform me the restaurant would only serve a short menu, mostly composed of appetizers instead of the normal menu. I was denied a discount after asking for one. When we arrived, the waitress asked for 2 pieces of ID to the entire table, we were all between 25 and 40, one of us (who is 37 and clearly looks over 30) did not have 2 pieces of ID and had to call a cab to go home, get his passport and come back. I know the laws specified to ask ID for everyone under 30... but the man is almost 40, and he sure didn't look like the youngest of the pack. After and hour an half our waitress said she was going home and brang the bills, we wanted to get a last round of shots, she denied it and we had to wait 20 minutes for the next waitress. Both waitress were very nice and social though.
It is so easy to spend an entire night here. The drinks, prices and atmosphere are all great and I appreciated the phone charging station. I'm also glad that this is a larger location making it easier to accommodate bigger groups.
I've been to this location three times now and 2 / 3 times have been not enjoyable. We made a reservation a week in advance. I'm not sure at what point between then and our reservation, their kitchen fan went out. But it did. And they didn't warn us. This meant they had a limited menu. We specifically went here for D20 burger and they weren't serving any burgers. I get it, the restaurant with no fan is too hot to cook in.
We were like alright, we'll make due. Some of tried to order "chicken fingers and fries" and they had run out of that. There was nothing else on the menu I would have ate, so I sat there while everyone else ate.
Their random D20 machine was broken. The manager who made the Death Cards quit so they were out of that.
Overall, not a great experience and would have been nice if they had contacted us to let us know about the fan issue so we could have transferred our reservation.
