The Storm Crow Alehouse is Planet Hollywood for geeks, a sports bar for nerds: a place where gamers and sci-fi fans can hang out, drink a tasty microbrew and nosh on upscale pub food while watching fantasy films on the big TVs. Think of it as the anti-sports bar...

Bring your own board or card game, or borrow one from our extensive library. We have a wide selection, from Cards Against Humanity to vintage Mastermind, from classic Catan to the latest Kickstarted craze.
We show only classic sci-fi, fantasy, and horror films on our TVs... no sports or UFC here!

While you’re here, peruse our extensive collection of memorabilia and curiosities, including autographs from SF legends and nerd luminaries, not to mention our giant hearth-mounted alien trophy, or the D&D mural, or the life-size Han Solo in carbonite, or the mysteriously glowing TARDIS...

Booked a reservation for Stormcrow Alehouse 3 weeks in advance. Host seats us after having given our table to someone else while they waited for a patio table. Asked if we wanted waters and then never saw her again.

Half an hour later our waitress comes by and informs us we all needed IDs just to be there. One of our friends didn’t have an ID and they refused us service. I guess the place is liquor primary which means you need an ID to be there. Minors could be there before 8pm with parent / gardian.

Website isn’t very clear because it doesn’t mention you need ID to be there, just that minors needed a parent.

None of us at the table we’re drinking. We asked for our reservation to be switched to the Tavern and they were reluctant.

Finally manager was able to move our reservation and we had to travel 30 minutes to the other restaurant.

Should be a lot more clear on their website, the host should have checked our IDs instead of waiting for the server, and at time of making reservation it should have been made known.

Poor communication and service on the restaurants part.

My group of ten enjoyed everything except the noise level. We were sitting at the back of the restaurant where the games are. The music was too loud and it made it difficult to talk let alone play games. We asked the waitress if it was possible to turn it down, she said she would look into it. The music was not turned down. We eventually gave up trying to play games.

The salad was good. I enjoyed the dressing. But the chilly was not that good at all, to be honest and it would be nice to have some kind of bread with the chilly. But I will be back again with some friends and I will try something else on the menu. It may be that I simply don't like that style of chilly is all. :) Great overall concept. Love the atmosphere! The service was excellent.

It was my first time there, and reserved a table for my boyfriends birthday. I was unaware of the "3 hour limit" as none of my reservations said anything about it. And the waitress decided to tell us right AT this so called 3 hour limit that our time was up. I felt stupid as everyone looked at me for an answer. I was pretty unimpressed with how that was handled. Next time when someone makes a reservation for a large group, give them a heads up in the reservation booking so they can plan for afterwards. We were still happy paying (a lot) customers when we got the boot.

We had so much fun at Saturday morning brunch. I am so happy that we chose to come! The food was delicious, the Darth Vader Bowl was bomb, and my boyfriend and I couldn’t stop laughing from the games.

LOVE this place. The vegan poutine is unreal & the service and space are sweet.
The music was a bit intense when we first walked in, but pretty soon we were settled in and really enjoyed it all. Sensory overload in the best way. Brought our own game of Catan and enjoyed good food drinks and friendship. Make a reso!

We love coming here! The idea behind the whole restaurant is so cool. However every time we go the service is super slow. We waited over an hour for our food to come. And when I mentioned something to the server she didn’t apologize until the very end while she was waiting for me to pay. Playing nice at the end for a tip? And it was my husbands birthday and there was no special birthday thing or comp for all the delays. We’ll go back again but if the service is anything like it was on our last visit, I’ll be changing locations.

If stormcrow was just a good board game pub it would get high praise, however the food is alone is also amazing and the staff are fantastic all the time. There's a reason we go here more often than not.

The food wasn’t as great as other times I went. I wish there was away to Leanne notes when booking, I had three kids with me and was put at a very high table, not at all ideal.

A few of us ordered the beyond meat burger and it was not good, unfortunately; quite dry and unflavorful. It was incredibly noisy and hard to hear even the person sitting right next to me.

We had a great experience at Stormcrow. The waitress was very bubbly and attentive and made sure we understood the routine with the menu. The food was excellent and the restaurant was very active. We love the ambience and overall feel of the place and would recommend it very highly to friends. That was not our first time there and will definitely be back. Keep up the good work!

Misread that Wednesday was trivia night like the hosts misread that you dont need to yell into a mic as it does amplify your voice already.

Great service from Cammy (I hope that's how you spell her name) and had fun playing board games. Great beer and food, though my burger was a bit overdone. Love the place and I look forward to eating there again soon.

Good beer. Cold food. Short reservation duration.

The beer list is long and inviting. I ordered the pulled pork burger and it came in decent time, but was cold upon arriving. It tasted fine, but could've used some slaw or something to add a bit of crunch.

We had made reservations, which seemed to have a time limit. At the end of our reservation, the staff seemed a bit aloof to our desire to stay and drink. They asked us to leave so they could serve other customers, claiming other people were waiting in a line (without reservations) to have a seat. After we finished our drinks we left only to find no one (or party) waiting to come in for a table.

I love storm crow! super fun atmosphere and good food. If you like nerdy things, you'll love this place. When it's busy it can get pretty loud so it's not the place for a quiet dinner. You can bring your kids up until 8pm but after that it's grown ups only which is nice. Gluten free and vegetarian options!

The food is great, the atmosphere is fun, every time I come here I'm laughing and having a great time. I think I've dedicated myself to getting all of the dungeon burger cards as well, just for fun. Worth coming simply to check it out, or to make into a regular place. It's slightly more expensive than your normal bar, it's loud as balls during high time and you almost have to reserve 1+ weeks in advance if you're coming with a party. But otherwise absolutely worth it. The staff are very attentive as well, A+ there.

The food was good, and the service fine for being understaffed for the crowd. I would recommend this restaurant to fellow fandom nerds for the theme. Why is "theme" not on the above list?

Food was overpriced and bland, TV was unreasonably loud. Of the four of us, two of us got our food late, one of us very late, and one of us very very very late. The server was like a deer in headlights when we complained. When a different server cleared some of our plates, she dragged her sleeve across my drink and almost knocked it over, then didn't apologize or even acknowledge it.

We won't be back. What a drag. Maybe if you spent less time on making the place cutesy-nerdy and more time being an actual restaurant, this wouldn't have happened.

Went to check out the new stormcrow heard it was bigger than the one on commercial. don't waste your time here just go to the one on commercial. Better tables better chairs better layout. Why they have so many high chairs is beyond me. Not a good place for board games as the tables are small.

After sitting in this location for 5 min feeling uncomfortable we left and went to the one on commercial which had nicer chairs and better tables for gaming.

We planned a get-together with friends with a big table (thankfully on a weekday) but because we work in a cinema people were getting off at all sorts of odd times. The staff was very nice to let us stay as long as we did, even though we had a large table for what was only three or four people, at first. Thanks so much, Stormcrow Alehouse staff!

Nerdiest bar in Canada lives up to it's name. Great place. The atmosphere is great, cool knick-knacks and sci-fi/fantasy paraphenalia abound. Funny drink list, lots of fresh local beers. Large amount of Vegetarian options while also catering to the meat-centric folks as well.
