SUCCOTASH is named after the classic dish that has been a longstanding staple of the Southern table. While many know “Succotash” when they see it, the dish has been interpreted, modified and passed from generation to generation for centuries. While Succotash between families will share similarities, each family’s recipe is deeply personal and reminiscent of those special suppers that brings kin together. Our “Succotash” is special to us and we invite you to experience the South from our point of view.

The service was great and my wife and I enjoyed the ambiance. I would recommend this place for a date for couples for sure.

We liked everything but the catfish sandwiches. It’s Lent so we eat fish on Friday’s and they only had two fish options without meat. We chose poorly because the catfish tasted farm raised, I mean you could taste the feed. We will definitely go back on a non fish only day to try something else but DONT order the catfish. I’m still a bit grossed out from it.
Beside that the apps, drinks , service and decor were fabulous. Very cozy spot.

Two co-workers out to dine, we didn’t have a reservation so we had a wait but they put us in a beautiful dining hall with a large Buddha statue looking down on us. It was beautiful. Once we got a table, the service was exceptional and the food delicious.

Fabulous dinner. We shared the family feast and sampled everything. Everything was amazing and the presentation was beautiful on each dish. This was our second visit. I would go again in a heartbeat. Wish we had one in our city.

I definitely would recommend Succotash to all my friends! The seating was comfy, the food was scrumptious, and the service was top notch! Although the a la carte menu will provide some sticker shock, it is worth the indulgence at least a couple of times ;>). Kudos to one of the BEST servers in the industry, Damon! He was on point and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. Everything from the hostess to the ambiance to the speed of service was incredible!

Great food. My friend ordered the rib and it was so much food, it could serve 4 people. She sent it back because of that. Great drinks, I had the veggie burger which was delicious.

The location was great - right across from our convention hotel. The oysters were amazing especially at happy hour prices. The dirty chicken was a great blend of spicy and sweet but a little too much batter. Bar staff were great. I plan to come back before leaving National Harbor.

We made our first visit on Valentine's Day weekend after hearing good things. The location at the harbor was beautiful. We were warmly greeted at seated right on time for our 4pm reservation. Although the place was packed, our service was focused and courteous. My wife and I had already decided to order the "Taste of the South" , a sampling of several apps, entrees and deserts. I must say, it was a lot of food for the two of us. The server brought it in phases to allow us to enjoy each plate. We started with some of the best deviled eggs ever! Next, we had a wonderful smoked wings followed by fried green tomato salad. Mind you, we have yet to get to the main course but we are stuffed. The food was so flavorful with a rare mix of Korean fusion with southern cooking. The main courses--OMG! First, we get encrusted blue catfish with a jalapeno aioli followed by chicken and (the best) waffles, and bay back ribs! We already know we're getting doggy bags! Dessert was butter pecan cookies and mini chocolate pecan pies (delicious) with a choice of vanilla and orange butter crème. A great ending to an awesome meal! Well done!

Succotash is one of our favorite restaurants and a must anytime we venture to the National Harbor. Our waiter was excellent, fun and friendly. The hush puppies have a green tomato jam with them that is to die for, the chicken and waffles are out of this world, the green tomato salad is my favorite, the Mac and cheese felt like the most comfortable hug in a bowl and the friend okra open our eyes to something we were always put off by before. 10/10, we’ll keep coming back again and again.
