Sweet Auburn Seafood
Atmosphere was great
Food was ok
Service could’ve been better for such a small place
Didn’t like that I paid $10 for valet parking but hey it was downtown and convenient
Food wasn’t good and over priced. Drinks were good.
It was really nice. My wife and I along with the grandkids had a great time. It’s a little pricey but very good.
My girlfriend and I had dinner here on a Friday afternoon. Beautiful interior, great service and amazing food. Cannot wait to go back. Our suggested the shrimp and grits, and maaaannn was he right.
This place is always a must...when in town...a little loud...but the food...and friendly service...makes it all worth while...
The drinks were on point and the shrimp was excellent as well as the mashed potatoes. My cousin had the crab legs which were steaming hot and good.
Great great and service!
Manager did not have a professional nor considerate attitude toward poor food portion for the pricing.
I was visiting from out of town. Sweet Auburn was what I needed on a Sunday evening with friends. Food was great and entertainment was delightful. The waitress was outstanding and made us feel at home. I’ll definitely return when I visit the ATL!!
Food is absolutely amazing . Service was great our server was Brian he had the greatest personality was the sweetest person and the food and drinks were amazing!!!!!!!!!!
My husband and I ate there our first visit to Atlanta and it is safe to say we will be back on every visit! The Saturday brunch was phenomenal, the atmosphere was festive, they had a live dj and the bottomless mimosas did not disappoint!
Not a really good restaurant at all. Drinks took forever to get to table, food getting to table was slow as well. Obviously understaffed as our server was slammed but trying her best. food was decent. but management really needs lessons in staffing and customer service.
I don't think I'll be returning. 1st time I came it was great.... Second time, good as well as far as food and Service both times. 3rd time took over a hour for the food and the Shrimp burger really didn't look appealing. 4th time.... Made reservations and still had to wait with numerous of open seating. Then they placed us, all the way in the back far left at this smedium a** table what was Sooooo uncomfortable. I had to literally squeeze in and out and my knees were all jacked up. Wanted to ask for a different table but I really couldn't move how weird it was. The waiter was good... But then I ordered the Pot pie with the smallest Lobster I ever seen in it and about 6 or less shrimps in it. I left still hungry, I swear. I hate writing negative reviews but if you ask how was my visit I'm just stating how it was.... Bill was $76 for that crap... Plus my friend had the Steak, which I had to eat as well because I just didn't get full smh. Do better
First time visitor, we came for the dessert menu, peach cobbler was great, banana pudding was disappointing. I loved the service, and wished the crab and shrimp fried rice was still on the menu. Turkey ribs were a nice substitute. I would go back again and stay for the live music which sounded amazing!
Reservation was for 1:45. Was seated at 1:40. Drinks came at 2:15. By 3:10 food still hadn’t come so I asked for the check & left. Management didn’t even offer to comp the drinks. I won’t be going back.
I was so excited to try out Sweet Auburn Seafood! Unfortunately, when my friend and I got there, we found out they were only accepting cash and would have to use an ATM to get cash out before we could order. Made for a very inconvenient experience. I hope one day I will try them again.
Great food & service.
I ENJOY COMING HERE I NEVER BE DISAPPOINTED WITH WHATEVER DISH I SELECT.
Food is not great, very salty and without personality.
It's aight. It's not terrible food, buts it's not great either. The prices online for the food are incorrect, it's more expensive then it says online.
Ohhh Sweet Auburn, I so wanted to like you but unfortunately I didn’t. We should’ve stayed at Ponce City Market and ate there like we were debating on doing.
Initially, we called and asked if they only take reservations. The young lady over the phone said they take walk-ins and reservations, but suggested it was best to do reservations. She then proceeded to tell us they were closed as brunch was over and they didn’t reopen until 5:30 for dinner. Therefore, we went onto Open Table and made a reservation for 5:30. To our surprise, when we arrived at 5:30 this place was jumpin’. The music was blasting, bar was packed, people in the waiting area, and EMPTY tables all around. The hostess asked if we had reservations, we told her yes at 5:30. She then tells us to have a seat and they would call us when our table was ready, in about 10-15 minutes. Wait, what?!
Once we were taken to our seats, we then had to wait another 10-15 minutes before our waitress came to greet us and ask for our drink order. Eventually we ordered. I ordered the stuffed flounder with mac and cheese and my friend ordered the fried catfish with string beans. She received two large portions of fish, but only 6 string beans-literally! The Mac and cheese literally tasted like noodles and cheese. No seasoning, no milk/cream, egg-NOTHING! The flounder has a cream sauce on top; which the menu described BUT when it came out it looked literally like orange tapioca pudding. I asked the waitress what was in the sauce and she told me “it’s a cream based sauce”😑 As if I didn’t already read that on the menu. She must’ve seen my expression because she then proceeds to ask if I had allergies and then says I’ll go ask the chef. The response from the chef she came back with was “they use pieces of flounder in the sauce”😑after that I was completely disgusted and ate none of it! I barely touched the $30ish worth of food and of course I didn’t get a refund. Trust the inconsistency in the pics and pick another place
It's a nice place for Sunday brunch.
First time taking bae and be loved it
The food was good and the atmosphere was very nice!
The food was absolutely amazing, and they have a pretty big serving. It’s not the cheapest but i think it’s worth the price. Our waiter was amazing, the food did take a little while to come out but it wasn’t excessive. Overall great experience
The seafood at the establishment was very good. I picked the establishment for my spouse’s birthday who loved the lobster bisque and crab boil. The server was attentive and courteous. The host staff seated us quickly after we arrived. We enjoyed the Sangria drink special. The parking price for the restaurant was higher than normal ($10) for someone visiting the establishment. Staff did not acknowledge or mention birthday celebration outlined on invite. The atmosphere also seemed to be rushed.
Overall good value for seafood with friendly and courteous server.
Great food. I had crab legs on Tuesday night. Great food, great value!
Very poor experience from the beginning to the end. Took my husband here for Father’s Day dinner. I was very embarrassed with the service and the overall dinning experience.
1) Arrived 30 minutes early and informed by the hostess that we still would have to wait additional 30 minutes after our reservation time to be seated.
2) Extremely long wait to get your appetizers and entree. Took about 30-45 minutes in between meals.
3) Poor attention from the waitress. Had to request for refills several times. Had to request several times for spoon to eat my soup. I never received it and had to eat the contents of the soup with my fork. Had to ask for different things several times before either receiving it or never receiving it.
4) I ordered three appetizers but only received two. I was still charged for three. Also, ordered wings as one of my appetizers. The menu states $12 but I was charged $13. When I inquired about the charge, I was told it was an up charge due to ordering a flavor (Lemon pepper). However, this information is not listed on the menu nor did the waitress advise me at the time of ordering.
5) I was charged a 20% gratuity automatically.
6) After bringing these issues to the managers attention, I was able to get the changes made and corrected. I most definitely had him remove that ridiculous 20% gratuity. The manager can definitely use more training in customer service. No apologies or empathy for our poor service was even given by him.
7) The establishment looks ran down. Our plastic table cloths were badly stained. The floors, ceilings and walls need maintenance.
Lastly, the food was average. Nothing spectacular about the meal. It may have been due to my experience being so poor that I could not even enjoy my meal.
I will never return back. It’s unfortunate, as an African American, I cannot support back owned Businesses such as this establishment; then get the service that was mentioned above. I must say I was very disappointed.
The vibe was nice, the food was not exceptional and the service was just satisfactory. I had to send my water back 3 times because there was something floating in it. There was a significant wait, even with a reservation. I want to really like it but the food was just too underwhelming for the price... the live music was amazing though.
Great customer service and the food was delicious
The second order I received was good, however I really had no ideal they were only serving brunch. I will however go back to experience dinner before I make a final determination.
We were there for Father's day. They did not have any additional menu items for father's day, so it was their usual brunch menu. Appetizers came quickly, but it took the food over 30-40 mins to get to us. then it was over cooked and dry and very little flavor. I've had better at Waffle house. Was not worth the price.
We chose Sweet Auburn for our Father’s Day dinner. Even with the crowd our wait was minimal(maybe an extra 5 min. With the crowd I was prepared for more) and the service was no longer than a usual day. This is our second time dining here, the first was a late night anniversary dinner and we were pleased both times. Will definitely be back.
We enjoyed it here
This was my first time dining and we decided to take my husband out for a nice Father’s Day brunch. I knew it would be crowded so that was not an issue! Once we finally got seated, it took the waitress at least 15 to take our drink order! Then the food came out 30 minutes later cold and nasty! My daughter and husband ordered Shrimp, chicken and waffles. I ordered pancakes and turkey sausage! The food tasted just awful! The pancakes were dry and rubbery! The chicken was not seasoned and the Belgian waffles were awful! Never again!
I had a reservation and was on time. Waited about 15 min to be seated. Had a great Father’s Day brunch. Food was good. Got the $140 bill and paid only to be told that we had to leave because there was a 2 hour limit on the tables upon checking in not getting seated. It was not our fault we wasted 15 min to be seated or that it took long to get and order the food. I will not return or recommend. There should be no limits on a holiday weekend. Poor customer service
I LOVE COMING HERE. FOOD IS GREAT AND THE STAFF IS ALWAYS PLEASANT. BUT THIS LAST VISIT WAS FOR FATHER'S DAY AND HIS FIRST TIME DINING HERE. AND HE REALLY ENJOYED IT. I WISH THERE WAS A LIVE BAND PLAYING SOME OF HIS TYPE OF MUSIC OR NICE SOFT JAZZ , THAT WOULD HAVE MADE THE OCCASION EVEN MORE SPECIAL. BUT OVERALL IT STILL WAS A GREAT MOMENT.
Great spot, a little slow moving at opening. Food was great but portion was small for price. I wanted to order peach cobbler but it was not done cooking per waitress.
I took my husband out for a Fathers Day dinner. The wait was long although we had reservations. The vibe was nice and the musicians were on point
I even spotted a well-known celebrity chilling amongst the common folk. The food was great!
