Sweet Georgia's Juke Joint
Awesome food awesome music
Add a few vegan items to your menu! Lots of people are changing their diets- would love to come and actually eat a meal. I just had a couple sides.
Great place, excellent food! The fried chicken is ON POINT!! Loved the live entertainment. Very noisy so you have to talk loud to hear each other. Will be back!
It was my mother birthday and she was so excited about her experience. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner Terry! And you for the great experience.
With our reservation we were able to bypass an hour long wait. We were seated right away and served right away. Our meal came soon after the entrees. The server said we arrived early enough to beat the order rush. The band was great and we had a great view of them playing. Really fun for a weeknight!
The service was outstanding, especially our server Cassie, she has the best personality!
The food was awesome, perfectly seasoned & cooked to order. The music & entertainment were perfect for the setting. We will be regular customers!
I've been swveral times and like it. Normally go on Saturday night though. I went on a Sunday evening (my wedding Anniversary) and the food was good but service sucked. Also, I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp which was good but spicey and I don't like spicey food. That was my husband's first time going he wasn't impressed. I like the place just bad day I guess.
This was my first time at Juke Joint. The atmosphere was incredible. The house band was phenomenal. I went with my longtime college friend who was visiting from Spokane, Washington. We both loved it! I ordered a full slab of ribs and had enough to take half a slab home to my husband for leftovers. My friend ordered the crab cakes. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend Juke Joint.
Great food each visit. The music is alwaus very nice with great crowd interaction. This visit our waitress fell very short on service. Drinks were good.
Everyone is rude not an inviting place. Bad service!!
Laid Back joint!! I loved how they went around to the tables to find out where the guest's were from. The cocktail "the color purple " my fav!!!
Excellent food! Great service! Great music! Really fun atmosphere
This restaurant is awesome! The food is delicious and authentic southern cuisine. We tried the fried chicken and trout and both were excellent!
The restaurant is usually very busy at dinner but the servers do their best to take your order and bring you your food in a timely manner. They are also extremely friendly; southern charm and friendliness is still very much alive in Atlanta! If you want to have dinner at 7 pm or later, I recommend making a reservation.
They have amazing live jazz/blue bands every night (I believe). A word of warning, if you want to have a quiet dinner and have deep conversation, this is not the place for you, but if you want to listen to great live music, then you will love it!
P.S. If you like liqueurs, try their moonshine. I don't think it's on their menu but they have many different yummy fruit flavours.
The food was amazing and so was our server, she made our a memory!
Great ambience, great music, and great food.
OMG!!! I loved EVERYTHING about this place! The endless mimosas!!! The food was beyond superb! The atmosphere was lovely. I have already made plans to come again!!!!
I came to Atlanta for a conference and had heard about the Juke joint so I made reservations. My husband and I thought the band that night was great, the food and drinks were very yummy. I really enjoyed the bacon wrapped shrimp. I also ordered the fried chicken with mac & cheese and the greens. The chicken was very tender and I thought really good. My husband enjoyed his gumbo and he especially liked the smoked wings. Would definitely go again when I make another trip to Atlanta.
I was entertaining guests from Hungary and Canada on this visit. We wanted them to have a good southern experience. Unfortunately it took 40 minutes to get our first drink and about 20-30 for the next. Food came out after a long while as well.
We will not go back nor do I recommend anybody to go.
Sweet Georgia’s was a great experience with a live old school band. Reservations are a must during prime dinner hours.. Dinner was a grilled salmon covered with a rich and spicy creole sauce. Smothered pork chops and brown gravy was another delicious dish. Southern style large portions are served. The Juke Lemonade w/ Blueberries complimented well.. Dessert was Peach Cobbler, unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy any of it. Service was slow but the live band made up for it. Recommend .. Please keep bus personnel to remove dirty dishes ASAP from tables. We will most definitely go back and tell all who want the experience of good ole southern good time!
Food and music were great. Service was extremely slow.
Super fantastic great and every word or phrase that can be thought of.
Very nice place. The band was was good. The food was good.
Great food. Great drinks and music. We had a great time. Find came out fast and the band was excellent all night
I brought my 3 Month old son so they accommodated me and my girl so that it wasn't uncomfortable for him. Service is always awesome here!!! The food is to die for
My daughter brought me here for Mother's day and I really enjoyed the experience. The food, band and atmosphere was wonderful. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
The live band & singer were awesome and the reason I gave an overall 3 star rating. If not for them our family Mother’s Day evening would have been ruined. We were seated promptly, which was great! But it took one hour to get WATER and another hour and half to get our food. Our party was large yet they only had one person serving us and another party of six. My wife and I chicken dinners came out burnt, BLACK burnt and the skin was soggy!!! My mother’s dinner arrived before everyone’s so she ate basically alone. Others didn’t get their meals for about two plus hours! And several were wrong. Again our dining experience was awful but thankfully the soulful music was fantastic so we weren’t mad. I don’t recommend this place during ANY type of holiday or when the city is hosting some event.
Food was good. Band was great but not worth the 200 dollars. We could only eat from the Mother’s Day menu and it only had a small selection. Kids were with us and could only get 3 things they had. It was good but not worth the money we spent
It was my guy's birthday and he LOVED it. The chicken and waffle were delicious and so was the peach cobbler...it could have been a bit sweeter and peaches a bit softer, but overall, delicious!!! My only issue was my server could have been a bit more attentive. We were there when the TROUPE TRIO performed and we enjoyed them as well...just wish the audience was a bit more attentive to them and not so loud!!! Most definitely a GO TO venue for some grown and sexy time with you significant other!!!
There were several food choices that will satisfy everyone’s taste from vegan to paleo. The servers were friendly, helpful, and efficient. The ambience and decor was eye-catching. The in-house band was on-point. Highly recommended.
Good was pretty good but our server was not very accommodating, professional, or nice. Also it's annoying that I was not allowed to have a whole piece of chicken with my chicken and waffles instead of wings. There should be an option for people who don't like wings. Ambiance was nice, and I love the live music.
There is no consistency! You have to ask for bread it wasn’t ready and 30 minutes in after donned it comes out. I went this past Sunday and was told no bread until after 4pm albeit I had the fried chicken.🙄
The food was delicious, the music was great and the total experience was amazing!
The fried chicken was absolutely delicious. I will be going back. There's a $5 charge for the live music that's not mentioned when making reservations but well worth it great musicians.
Enjoyed the service, ambiance, music and food. The only draw back is available parking.
Great band and the food was good also. I really enjoyed the evening. Great service also.
We were seated right away and our server AK was timely. We ordered fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They arrived quickly and were hot, but we did not have any flatware so I needed to flag down staff to get some! We had specialty southern themed cocktails which were also good. Peach cobbler dessert was delicious too.
Food came in on time and hot. The band was terrific and the vibe of the restaurant and emcee was welcoming and lively.
The hostess was a bit scattered and never checked in our open table reservation so we got a no show text the next day. Open Table cleared it up, but that is why the 4 stars for service
went for a birthday and left with another place I will definitely visit again. This place is awesome. The staff, food, atmosphere. I live in Atlanta (2 years) and still finding my way around. This is worth a repeat visit.
The music was great! You could hear the band but it was still easy to talk to friends. The food did not disappoint! It was a fun venue in the heart of ATL.
