First time to have dinner at The Symphony . My dinner was very good. Highlights were the chicken entree and yeast rolls! Experience was especially positive with Shelby as the server. She was very attentive and accommodating. Always willing to allow for our requests to our small changes to the menu. Hostess was attentive too. My only suggestion would be to update the sitting in dining room. Allowing for the historical ambiance is not always comfortable for the guest. Overall, a 5 star 1st time visit. Thank you.

The restaurant in the rehabbed hotel is sorta charming and the service was excellent. However, delivery from the kitchen was slow and the food--at least the food we ordered as part of the three course fixed price menu required here--was very ordinary and in retrospect high priced. Very convenient for a pre-Music Hall dinner but not for us from a "value dinner" point of view.

Symphony Hotel is definitely our favorite pre-show place to eat. We love the ambiance whether in the main dining room or in the lounge. Buzz, the bartender, makes terrific cocktails and provides great service in the lounge. My wife loved the gazpacho and her pork chop special. I had the chicken broth soup and the cod. I recommend both. We each had the peach cherry cobbler. It was outstanding.

The Symphony Hotel Restaurant is a must-dine restaurant if you are in the Cincinnati area. The 5 course meal was excellent. Everyone at the table had a equally delicious entree. Whether it was the scallops and shrimp, the butter broiled cod, the stuffed chicken or the steak -we loved every bite. The fresh ingredients were the star of the show. The service was just as great, ensuring we were on time for the Opera. I'd definitely recommend this place.

It has been a few months since we had dinner here. First of all, the bartender was our waiter. Although we appreciate a positive attitude, he overdoes conversation. Constantly trying to make jokes but it is very irritating. Food was 90% disappointing: salad was dry and it was hard to find dressing. The new “Parker House “ rolls for which you pay extra were dry and seemed to have sat for a time. Steak was chewy and not very flavorful. Pineapple upside down was hard to get down as it was so dry. We he best item was the fish entree We feel terrible as well his was A favorite but it will be a long time until a return

The restaurant is convenient for a show at Music Hall, but that's the highlight. The food isn't any better than what you'd make at home. The dining room can charitable be described as "quaint," but is closer to simply in need of redecoration. We had poor service and chairs that felt like they were going to break. There is no air conditioning, so people were rolling up sleeves and fanning themselves. Even though the restaurant is built around timing service to keep people to shows at Music Hall on time, our dessert was served an hour before curtain!

We were seated in the lounge area. It appeared that the main dining room was closed. No matter, it is very nice in the lounge. Buzz, the bartender, provides great service and a terrific Side Car. Food was excellent. We had the hanger steak and the cod. Both were very tasty. We both agreed the salad was a bit dry. It could definitely have used a smear of goat cheese to give it more oomph.. Always the best place to eat pre-show.

My Mother and I treat each other to fine dining experiences on our birthdays. This was her special day. We had never been to the Symphony Restaurant before. The decor is all musician and musically themed. Very inventive and beautiful. Our bartender/ server/ man who knows all, Buz Davis gave us an incredible dining experience. He offered suggestions when asked and was skilled in his knowledge of every dish. We both had the 5 course selection that included soup; salad; sorbet interlude; entree and dessert. My Mom had the vegetarian entree and I went with the duck. Both were fresh and inventive and full of flavor and color. Everything was perfectly seasoned. We will be back in November for my birthday and look forward to a new seasonal menu and another PERFECT evening at The Symphony Hotel & Restaurant.

Stayed at hotel. Very relaxing evening. Enjoyed our Pre opera dinner downstairs: delicious 5 courses. My favorite course was Duck w parsnip purée, beets, carrots - it was delicious! Husband’s steak special was nicely done. Blueberry basil sorbet was so good! Snap pea soup was refreshing! Salad was fresh and dressed perfectly! Not too sweet! Not too oily! Great wine list! Vegetarian option. Extremely good service - friendly not fussy. Beautiful historic cozy elegant ambience. Fantastic location if you’re attending music hall after dinner. We highly recommend it. Quick walk across the street after a NICE after dinner drink - ruby port and Prosecco! Then a Double espresso! - cause we have full bellies, just drank a bottle of wine, and Operas are long! Just yum!

Higher quality food and drinks makes for a wonderful dinner. Staff very knowledgable and excellent service. Live music provided true relaxing experience with an entertaining bar staff. Smaller vintage establishment provides an intimate and cozy vibe. Our standard stop when in Cincinnati.

What a lovely evening. A small venue - most everyone there at the early hour (5:15) were going on to the opera across the street. Quiet, refined-soft conversation-no loud talking/laughing that interrupts everyone else. Service was excellent-friendly and efficient. Food was beautifully presented and properly prepared- we had duck breast which was tender, juicy,and large portion— at a good price. Definitely a repeater-especially when going to the Music Hall

The bartender, Buzz, is wonderful, knows his stuff and is quite entertaining. Food is good as is the atmosphere. Perfect pre-theater dining spot and also after for a nightcap and catching the live entertainment.

Can't beat this place before your show at Music Hall. Great food and served in a timely manner in regards to show start times. Finish up your coffee and dessert, then walk right next door for the show. Valet is the best parking deal down there.

We had brunch at the Symphony before an afternoon Pops concert. My husband loved his apple French toast; just excellent! My mom and I had terrific eggs bacon and toast. The meal was relaxed and not rushed, and the service was very good.

Everything was very good. My wife’s fish was under-cooked and the chef prepared a new and improved one. I had the stuffed chicken which was very tasty. Awful lot of vegetable accompaniment. Service was a little slow, restaurant was packed on a Saturday pre-Symphony. The side-car cocktail is terrific. Rooms are very quaint. Bar area is extremely nice.

The hotel and restaurant is so cute and boutique-y. The food was really good, we pre-reserved a three course meal. The main course duck was amaaaazing! The duck breast was so tender with a hit of citrus. Two types of sauce and some apricot jam. Such a great combination. The also have jazz live performance so it was really a enjoyable experience. Thank you!

Terrible experience. We made reservations at 6:15 pm and had concert at 8. Got seated at 6:05 and nobody came to our table until about 6:20 and didn’t take any orders, not even drinks until 6:40. No comments or apologies. Promised to get us out of there with enough time for concert, no concerns. Drinks came with salads shortly thereafter but entree took about 30 minutes after we were done with salads. Had to skip dessert and run out of there with my 90 year old mom. No apologies but blame it on us for making reservation after 6!!! And extremely poor excused from all the staff. Food mediocre at best. Never ever again. Worst place in OTR.
